Was Whitney Houston Killed By Prescription Drugs Like So Many Other Celebrities Have Been?

Why is it that almost every time a celebrity under the age of 50 dies we find out that prescription drugs were involved?  The official test results will not be released for weeks, but already there is a growing body of evidence that Whitney Houston was killed by prescription drugs just like so many other celebrities have been.  In recent years, we have seen prescription drugs play a significant role in the deaths of Michael Jackson, Heath Ledger, Brittany Murphy and Anna Nicole Smith.  Two of the most famous celebrities of the 20th century, Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley, died with very high levels of prescription drugs in their systems.  So when is the mainstream media going to start telling us the truth about the dangers of prescription drugs?  According to the CDC, approximately 750,000 Americans are rushed to the emergency room each year because of reactions to prescription drugs.  At least 200,000 Americans each year end up dying from reactions to prescription drugs.  Unfortunately, the big pharmaceutical companies spend billions of dollars advertising their pills in the mainstream media, so the mainstream media has a very strong incentive to cover up the truth.  But hopefully the death of Whitney Houston will get more Americans to wake up and realize that prescription drugs can be very, very deadly.

So what evidence is there that Whitney Houston was killed by prescription drugs?

Well, according to a story posted on Fox News, her family has reportedly been told by authorities that it was a combination of prescription drugs and alcohol that killed her….

Relatives of late pop icon Whitney Houston have reportedly been told by coroner officials that the singer died from what appears to be a combination of Xanax and other prescription drugs mixed with alcohol rather than drowning.

In fact, authorities reportedly found a half dozen bottles of prescription medication in her room.  Radar Online is reporting that “Lorazepam, Valium, Xanax, and a sleeping medication” were found by authorities.

It is important to note that absolutely no illegal drugs were found in her room.  Whitney Houston struggled with illegal drugs in the past, but they were not involved in her death at all apparently.

But this is what happens with so many celebrities.  Once they get off illegal drugs they move over to prescription drugs.  They believe that prescription drugs are safe because they are legal and because they are prescribed by doctors who are supposed to know what they are doing.

Unfortunately, the cold, hard reality of the matter is that many prescription drugs are incredibly dangerous.

Let’s take a look at some of the other major celebrities that have been killed by prescription drugs in recent years….

Michael Jackson

It is now well known that prescription drugs played a huge role in the death of Michael Jackson.  The following is from an article about his death from TMZ.com….

The morning Jackson died, Dr. Murray gave Jackson valium at 1:30 AM. Murray said the valium didn’t work so he gave the singer an IV injection of lorazepam — an anti-anxiety drug. Murray told cops Jackson was still awake, so he then gave him midazolam — a sedative.

Murray gave Jackson more drugs. He says at 10:40 AM, he administered 25 mg of Propofol. Dr. Murray told cops Jackson repeatedly demanded the drug.

As we first reported, cops found 8 bottles of Propofol in Jackson’s house after he died, but they do not know where it was purchased.

Cops also found Valium, Tamsulosin, Lorazepam, Temazepam, Clonazepam, Trazodone and Tizanidine, along with the Propofol.

A lot of celebrities take anti-anxiety drugs very heavily and they believe that they are perfectly safe.  Another victim of these anti-anxiety drugs was Health Ledger….

Heath Ledger

Health Ledger was one of the hottest young actors in Hollywood.  Unfortunately, his career was cut short by prescription drugs.  The following comes from CNN.com….

Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of prescription medications including painkillers, anti-anxiety drugs and sleeping pills, the New York City medical examiner’s office said Wednesday.

“Mr. Heath Ledger died as the result of acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam, and doxylamine,” the office said in a short statement.

Brittany Murphy

Brittany Murphy was lovely, she was funny, and she seemed to have a very bright future ahead of her.

Unfortunately, that bright future came crashing to a halt in just a single day.

It turns out that prescription drugs played a major role in the death of Brittany Murphy….

“Large amounts” of prescription medications were found on Murphy’s nightstand and the coroner also found “numerous empty” bottles of prescriptions written to Murphy, her mom, Monjack and unidentified third-party names, the notes said, according to TMZ.

The drugs included the anti-seizure medication Topamax, anti-anxiety medications Klonopin and Ativan, pain relievers Vicoprofen and hydrocodone, depression medication Fluoxetine and hypertension medication Propranolol, TMZ reported.

Anna Nicole Smith

Who could ever forget Anna Nicole Smith?

The drama surrounding her life captivated the entire globe.  The mainstream media simply could not get enough of her story.

Sadly, her addiction to prescription drugs eventually caught up with her.

The following comes from Wikipedia….

Ultimately her death was ruled an accidental drug overdose of the sedative chloral hydrate that became increasingly lethal when combined with other prescription drugs in her system, specifically 4 benzodiazepines: Klonopin (Clonazepam), Ativan (Lorazepam), Serax (Oxazepam), and Valium (Diazepam). Furthermore, she had taken Benadryl (Diphenhydramine) and Topamax (Toprimate), an anticonvulsant GABA agonist, which likely contributed to the sedative effect of chloral hydrate and the benzodiazepines. Although the individual levels of any of the benzodiazepines in her system would not have been sufficient to cause death, their combination with a high dose of chloral hydrate led to her overdose.

Are you starting to get the picture?

How many times do we have to see the same story played out in front of our eyes before we understand?

Prescription drug deaths in America just keep going up and up and up.  The following comes from a Scientific American article….

The number of deaths and hospitalizations caused by prescription drugs has risen precipitously in the past decade, with overdoses of pain medications, in particular opioids, sedatives and tranquilizers, more than doubling between 1999 and 2006, according to a new study.

In fact, by 2006, overdoses of opioid analgesics alone (a class of pain relievers that includes morphine and methadone) were already causing more deaths than overdoses of cocaine and heroin combined.

Yet despite all of this, the American people are taking more prescription drugs than ever before.

Everywhere you turn, people are popping pills like crazy.  The following list is from a previous article I authored about prescription drugs in America….

#1 According to the CDC, the percentage of Americans that say that they have taken a prescription drug within the last month has risen to almost 50 percent.

#2 The percentage of Americans that say that they have taken two or more prescription drugs within the last month has risen to 31 percent, and the percentage of Americans that say that they have taken five or more prescription drugs within the last month has risen to 11 percent.

#3 If you can believe it, the CDC also says that approximately 9 out of every 10 Americans that are at least 60 years of age say that they have taken at least one prescription drug within the last month.

#4 According to the Wall Street Journal, more than 25 percent of all kids in the United States take prescription drugs on a regular basis.

#5 One brand new study has found that more than 20 percent of all American adults are taking at least one drug for “psychiatric” or “behavioral” disorders.

#6 A recent Government Accountability Office report shockingly discovered that approximately one-third of all foster children in the United States are on at least one psychiatric drug.  In fact, the report found that many states seem to be doping up foster children as a matter of course.  Just check out these stunning statistics….

In Texas, foster children were 53 times more likely to be prescribed five or more psychiatric medications at the same time than non-foster children. In Massachusetts, they were 19 times more likely. In Michigan, the number was 15 times. It was 13 times in Oregon. And in Florida, foster children were nearly four times as likely to be given five or more psychotropic medications at the same time compared to non-foster children.

#7 The percentage of women taking antidepressants in America is higher than in any other country in the world.

#8 Children in the United States are three times more likely to be prescribed antidepressants than children in Europe are.

#9 The total number of Americans taking antidepressants doubled between 1996 and 2005.

#10 According to the CDC, approximately three quarters of a million people a year are rushed to emergency rooms in the United States because of adverse reactions to pharmaceutical drugs.

#11 It has been reported that approximately 200,000 Americans a year are killed by prescription drugs.

#12 According to the Los Angeles Times, drug deaths (mostly caused by prescription drugs) are climbing at an astounding rate….

Drug fatalities more than doubled among teens and young adults between 2000 and 2008, years for which more detailed data are available. Deaths more than tripled among people aged 50 to 69, the Times analysis found. In terms of sheer numbers, the death toll is highest among people in their 40s.

#13 According to the National Household Survey on Drug Abuse, 36 million Americans have abused prescription drugs at some point in their lives.

#14 A survey conducted for the National Institute on Drug Abuse found that more than 15 percent of all U.S. high school seniors abuse prescription drugs.

#15 The CDC says that spending on prescription drugs more than doubled between 1999 and 2008.

#16 Prescription drugs cost about 50% more in the United States than they do in other countries.

#17 Each year, tens of billions of dollars is spent on pharmaceutical marketing in the United States alone.

#18 There were more than two dozen pharmaceutical companies that made over a billion dollars in profits during 2008.

How many more celebrities have to needlessly die before the American people wake up to the truth?

Whitney Houston should not have been taking so many prescription drugs.  Now she has been killed and we will never hear her sing again.

But hopefully millions of people out there will learn a lesson from her death.

Prescription drugs can be absolutely deadly.  It is a huge mistake to get hooked on them.

  • A Dodgy Bloke

There is an old saying you can’t be lead where you didn’t want to go. I’ve always believed some people are good influences some people are bad influences. Bobby Brown was a horrible influence in Miss Houston. That said sadly Miss Houston is not the first woman ruined by a “Bad Boy” and wont be the last. RIP Whitney.

    • r.bitting

Well Stated. Whitney Houston grew up in church, and lived in a God fearing home, she undoubtedly must have at some time in her youth been confronted by the passage from scripture that states ” bad company corrupts good character. The lesson here for the christian comes from another passage however, ” Be doers of the word, and not hearers only, decieving yourselves ” James 1:22..

  • Guido

I’m sorry, Michael, but I don’t believe it’s the drugs that are the problem. It’s the drug addicted stars that are the problem. Personally, I think most prescription drugs should be available on request and the drug taker, hopefully following Doctors’ orders, will make the right decision. Otherwise, it’s your funeral. One big exception, to me, would be antibiotics, since the abuse of them has created super-bugs in the last few decades. Another exception would probably be some of the heavier narcotics. Otherwise, if folks want to take anti-cancer meds for their headaches or muscle relaxers on top of their Wheaties, who am I to care?

Besides, these big stars are able to get the drugs they want, either from scrip-writing docs who are paid to not be too stingy with the pills or from their helpful handlers. We all heard about how Michael Jackson’s doc was happy to hook him up. And remember how Rush Limbaugh was hooked on pain pills long after his legit prescription ran out? If celebrities can’t control themselves, they end up as statistics. I don’t think that’s the drug manufacturers’ fault.

The other half of your article is another story. I figure a big reason why drugs cost so much is we’re willing to pay for them. Gov’t money doesn’t help-why not raise your prices if Uncle Sam is footing the bill? Another reason is the insurance companies have to recoup their losses somewhere. Docs get screwed on Medicare. Hospitals have to make up for all the freeloaders and charity cases who sponge off them in the Emergency room. Everyone involved also passes on their losses due to big lawsuits, too. I’m not covering for Big Pharma-they have their dirty hands all over Obama’s healthcare bill. I forget the guy who came out against Eli Lilly with tales of bribery and loaded peer-reviewed studies.

  • mark

If you read about the drugs that you take there always seem to be lots of side effects with them. But on the whole most people live longer today with these drugs than when we did not have them. You need to make sure that you stay away from booze when using many of the drugs today.

  • Mark McBee

I’m in a business of selling prescription drugs. So what if people die? They are part of a collateral damage in capitalism world. May it be military complex or security complex.
Get use to the fact that all air travelers will be scanned. Scanner makers are rich for sure at the expense of privacy and liberty. We will see more drones flying in USA.

  • Gary2

I thought all the libertarians wanted to legalize drugs?? (I actually agree with them)

Ms. Houston was an adult who choose to medicate to excess and paid the ultimate price. There needs to be much more readily available drug treatment, however, in this case she could have paid for any type of drug treatment.

All prescription drugs are readily available on the internet and I do mean ALL. There is no such thing as schedule 2 etc in other countries. I knew a guy who ordered Ritalin from the net many years ago as he said it waked him up way better than coffee. He got them mail order name brand from Spain. I say just legalize them and be done with the failed war on drugs.

There is help out there if you want to recover.

    • Randome-11

What´s your definition of a libertarian?

    • Guido

I have to agree with Gary on this one. We’re supposed to be adults, so if we can’t handle the pills, that’s on us. I don’t need the govt to tell me if I can have cough drops with pseudo-effedrine or Dengue Fever vaccine or whatever. I’m smart enough not to fool with drugs I don’t need. The big exceptions, in my opinion, are at least the antibiotics, which need to be much more tightly controlled, if you ask me. Thanks to 5+ decades of abuse, the anti-Bs are failing and our lazy, ignorant, stupid people have helped to breed a new nastier variety of drug-resistant bugs. I don’t know if we need to make it a free-for-all on the heavier narcotics, either, but as long as you’re only destroying yourself, I can’t feel too bad for you. We just ought to have a massive caveat that no one on drugs gets public assistance during or after the flameout. I was glad to hear Florida is finally drug testing for benefits. Right on, Sunshine State!

Houston knew, or thought she knew, what she was doing. I can’t blame the drug companies for all the famous idiots who kill themselves using recreational pharmaceuticals. It was her stupid choice and it caught up with her. Let it serve as a lesson to the rest of us. I doubt it will change anything, since Belushi or Jackson or Ledger etc didn’t wake us up.

  • whoisbiggles

The first step would be to stop the advertising of prescription medications in the MSM.

  • jolly

Whitney Houston was not killed by prescription drugs. She was killed by her own willful abuse of otherwise beneficial drugs. Mixing drugs and alcohol is stupid. This argument is like saying that guns themselves are responsible for killing people. Personal responsibility is key here.

  • mondobeyondo

Keep popping those pills, and you too could end up like Elvis Presley….

I bought Whitney’s very first album back in 1985.

Never in my wildest dreams, or nightmares, would I have thought that her journey would end like this.
    Rest in peace, darling.

  • John

I heard the other day that 70% of prescription drugs were not taken by the person they were prescribed to, but by someone else.

  • chris

The county I grew up in is plagued by prescription drug addiction now. It’s absolutely insane. Almost everyone I grew up with is hooked on or has been hooked on them and naturally the youth coming up are even more exposed. This plague even creeped its way into my immediate family. One drug addict brother can turn a whole family upside down…It’s amazing that these “pill mill” phony doctors are so prevalent. Run down offices filled with drug addicts who wait up to 6 or so hours just to see a fraudulent doctor who hands out prescriptions for $100 cash, no insurance accepted. I’ve seen these places first hand…crazy stuff

I also don’t trust psychiatrists. I had two girlfriends in a row who were “bipolar”. I stayed with one for three years then the other for a year. The common theme I noticed is, they never got better, the never ending cocktail combos of different drugs seemed to just take them from mild depression to full on insane. Everywhere I look everyone around me is taking an anti depressant or something. What the heck is going on? Am I to believe everyone around me is clinically depressed or has ADD? Is the psychiatric community making everything an illness just to get people in the door then progressively turning people with normal problems into doped up zombies?

    • Michael

Very good comment – thanks for sharing personal details. Most people have no idea how bad this problem has become.

    Tobey Maguire, Spiderman 3

Why such an article and why now? Many people die of drug overdoses, both legal and illegal drugs. Nothing new here. Whitney Houston, an otherwise, beautiful, classy, elegant woman did what most women these days do. They become suckers and hook up with some idiotic street thug gangsta wannabe. She had a choice and unfortunately for her, it was the wrong choice. Not only did she hook up with a thug, she became a useless crackhead/junkie and an erractic ghetto princess.

Every sane, rational, intelligent person knows that once you become a junkie your final destination is a one way ticket to the morgue, getting there at a much faster rate of speed than one otherwise would barring death from unexpected natural causes (heart attack, etc.) or random accidents (car, plane, etc.)

Her undoing, while tragic, is a cautionary tale. Unless you have injuries that require medication for medical reasons, it is pretty much the wisest course of action to stay away from psychotropic drugs such as Xanax, Valium, Prozac, Ritalin and all the rest of it. Deal with anxiety and depression the old fashioned way, through meditation, exercise, and developing bonds with people of like interests. Popping pills is a loser, and Whitney Houston’s death is just another example of that losing proposition.

    • Deborah

I agree with you Mr. Richards. Ms. Houston was an adult with an adult child no less. She made some very bad choices, very foolish choices. She always looked like such class to me, until I saw an exerpt from that Bobby Brown show. She was totally what you described, a ghetto princess. She had her choices, as we all do, and the consequences followed….

  • justadad

These people didn’t not die because of perscription drugs but rather the ABUSE of perscription drugs. There is a huge distinction between the two. I’m sure your readers can provide anecdotal evidence of how their lives were saved or preserved because of the proper use of medications.
I remember the story of the man who overdosed on carrot juice. I tried to use that story to prove to my mother that I did not need to eat my carrots.
Or just recently the woman who was involved in a radio station competition and drank so much water that she died. Should we ban water consumption?

The real question to be asked is:
What caused these people to ABUSE drugs?
Simple answer: Life was not fulfilling and they were looking for something else.
Our problem is not prescription drugs themselves but the emptiness of our lives that lead to drug abuse.
Psalm 37:4 Take delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Seriously? Taking six or more drugs simultaneously even in prescribed doses can be enough to kill anybody, quickly or slowly, especially a woman of demure height and weight like Whitney Houston.

You clearly miss the larger point of the article. There is no logical reason for anyone who is not hospitalized for serious physical medical injury to be taking that many drugs at the same time. Big pharma has you snowballed, because you fail to understand that much of the stuff they shove down people’s throats is addictive, which of course leads to abuse and eventual overdose. There are other ways of dealing with anxiety, depression, and all the rest of it. The days of endless pill-popping must come to a speedy close or else many more people will end up on the coroner’s table for a post mortem………….

      • justadad

I did not miss the larger point of the article. The question asked was ,”Was Whitney Houston Killed By Prescription Drugs ?”
        The answer is : No
Bad logic has you snowballed. Big Pharma does not go door to door shoving pills down peoples’ throats and I do not know any doctors who go door to door shoving pills down peoples’ throats.
We are an over drugged public but it’s because of our OWN choices.
Here is the big picture that you are missing:
We cannot make bad choices and expect good results. Neither can we make bad choices and then blame other people for our own decisions.
Whitney Houston was not a victim of Big Pharma, Whitney Houston was a victim of Whitney Houston.
She had the world on a silver platter and she made a series of bad choices that lead to her demise. I am grieved by her death but I am not surprised by it, too many celebrities follow this very same path.
If we want Big Pharma or illegal drugs to go away, we make a simple choice: Don’t purchase or use their product.
Look at the Big Alcohol industry. Are you willing to ban alcohol because more people die from its abuse than pharmaceuticals?
What about water intoxication? Some people actually get a buzz or even die by drinking too much WATER. Is the answer to ban water purification plants and all bottled water advertising? STOP BIG WATER! That is ridiculous.
My last statement was entirely correct and until we are willing to go after the root of the problem these surface issues will never be resolved.

Clearly you are in the pockets of big pharma. Doctors don’t go to door, don’t be silly. This happens when people go into hospitals and doctors offices for mental and physical exams. They are told that x amount of drugs will “cure their ills” when in fact they are being set up for addiction to these things. Say what you want, and you will because your mind has been “smoked” but regardless of what lies you wish to feed yourself, it is not stopping big Pharma and doctors on their payroll from pushing these drugs in mass, causing much more pain and misery than illegal drugs ever could.

          • justadad

You are the double minded one, Reed. In one post of this article you argue that Witney was responsible for her own demise and in reply to me you blame it on Big Pharma.
Why don’t you read my posts again and explain how my advocating the pursuit of meaning through God is equal to support of drug abuse?

  • Ameen

  • mondobeyondo

Keep popping. You’ll eventually end up as the king of something. Maybe not the King of Rock and Roll, or the King of Pop, but how about the King of Valium? King of Viagra? Knight of Cialis?!

I think an important article that you can write concerns the TSA. The TSA is merely a rogue, thuggish gang of pedophiles and perverts running rampant in amerikan airports sexually assaulting, molesting, and harrassing people, not to mention stealing their property outright. This is clearly an outrage and the people must be willing to do something about this. And the absolute first step is for ANYONE WHO IS NOT ORDERED TO FLY BY AN EMPLOYER TO BOYCOTT ALL AMERIKAN AIRPORTS WHERE THERE ARE TSA PEDOPHILES AND PERVERTS. A nationwide boycott will cause the airlines to replace TSA screeners with private security, who, if smart, will not repeat the same mistakes and commit the legion of crimes that the TSA has. The airlines can make an application to the FAA and have this done under a new law passed by the United States Senate. Time for the masses in the asylum to stand up for freedom and stop being scared all the time.

  • josh

@a dodgy bloke…Blaming a man for what happened to a woman who made the CHOICE to be with him is asenine and ignorant. She wanted the bad boy. You can lead a horse to water but you cant make it smoke crack!

I have said as much that Whitney deserves much of the blame for her own demise. But if responsibility goes to all people, the bad boy deserves blame for being bad in the first place.

Many hollywood stars and record artist are mind control victims, they have what you call an agent but in covert terms they are called handlers. Marilyn Monroe, Michael Jackson and his family the Jackson 5, Anna Nicole Smith, and when they get-out-of-line from their handlers they are removed, and the public feed a lot of horse crap, lies about the real way they died. They are brainwashed at a very young age, sexually abused and you name it. It will bring tears to your eyes at some of the tourture done to them as a child. Bob Hope was a handler sorry sack of crap, this lady will fill you in to all the terrible things they do to others Linda Stone and mind control.

When initiating children, the Alpha Lodge maintains: the younger the better, for a number of reasons I won’t go into. Our methodology is that the child is deprived of food and sleep for days. Depending on how they react, sometimes beatings are employed. Occasionally the child is made to take part in sacrifices. The key is in the trauma: the complete destruction of the inner spirit. Then at the propitious moment the child’s third eye is opened so as to completely resocialize them and open their psychic abilities.

What a sad day and age we live in. As American’s we have had it too easy and too good and as a result always want the easy way out. Big Pharma is a sociopathic business driven by greed. It’s madness to think that we have to have a pill for every ‘ailment’ under the sun and people are all to willing to accept a pill for their often invented diseases, invented by the pseudo science of psychology and Big Pharma is all to happy to invent their toxic drugs for invented ‘diseases’ and the people that work for them all drink the Kool-aid telling everyone how wonderful their drug is despite their endless side affects. I do hope the day will come where my fellow Americans will look into natural alternative solutions to their physical and mental health rather than taking these poions.

  • Prescription drugs are also helping people. For example, my sister couldn´t live a normal life without some stronger painkillers, she is suffering from spinal disc herniation like my father, if anyone know what pain is, that would be her! If you Michael is feeling well and doesn´t need any pills or treatments then make an article to thank God about all good in life. Make a Top 20 positive things we should be happy for in the World and in your USA. Make a happy article for a change.

  • Jim

Yes 100%. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure this one out. Whether taken on a doctors script or bought down on the corner black market, it was a combo of script drugs and alcohol. A deadly combination for a 20+ yr old drug addicted body.

  • Cinderella Man

“A pill to make you numb, a pill to make you dumb, a pill to make you anybody else, but all the drugs in this world wont save her from herself.” -Marilyn Manson

I dont know what is wrong with this society that so many people hate themselves. I have been personally affected by loved ones abusing pills, my brother almost died from Oxys and another dear friend that could have been marriage material to me at one time, is slowly killing herself. Now my kid brother is on anti-depressants! Damn these pills! Im not a pot smoker anymore, but it is ludicris to me that a harmless herb is illegal and God forbid if you get caught growing it or smoking it, you will be thrown into a cage, your life destroyed, but Big Pharma destroys hundreds of thousands of lives a year and nothing happens to them! ************** outrageous!!!

    • justadad

      Marijuana a harmless herb?
      You obviously inhaled.
Weed smoke contains 50 -70% more carcinogens than tobacco smoke and weed smokers usually inhale more deeply and hold it longer than tobacco users.
Studies show more respiratory problems in pot-only smokers than tobacco-only smokers.
Please don’t recommend one form of drug abuse over another.

  • Ken

Don’t forget what contraceptives have done to millions of women. Contraceptives are an all-out bio-chemical attack on the female body, and they end up polluting the water supply when excreted just as many other prescription drugs.

  • Virginia

I have to agree with Cinderella Man. These new RX drugs are killers. They are synthetic drugs and are not bio-identical with the human body. They make you sick and crazy. On the other hand, the humble little herb which most people consider a weed has miraculous curative abilities (along with pot) but god forbid your doctor find out you ingest a few herbals. The medical community is a train wreck. It is very outrageous and an atrocity.

  • mondobeyondo

Please don’t play a recording of Johnny Cash’s “Ring of Fire”, at Whitney’s funeral.

    Again… just sayin.’

  • kila

I don’t feel sorry for Whitney Houston or any other rich person that has died on “DRUGS”. They have money to buy anything they want and they run out of things to buy. So, they say I know I will start doing and taking “DRUGS”. “BIG DUMMY”S !!!

  • xander cross

Are you sure that is was prescripton drugs that killed her? How do you know that the doctor changed the dosage to something else. After all, medical doctors do sell your records to the highest bidder and after all, where do you think TMZ obtain their medicial records from? The doctors are in on the take. You got to look deeper, something is not right here.

  • horrez white

Whitney was murdered and Clive Davis had something to do with it.

  • oneCoolCruciam

Only two comments. One are we sure that Bobby Brown first made Whitney take any drugs. I could talk about what I know and heard, but I refuse to kick dirt on the dead. Secondly I remember seeing somewhere in Proverbs every herb and plant is here for man’s use or something to that effect

  • Linds

I think it is very sad that people are already saying that this is what Whitney Houston died from!!! WE DON’T KNOW YET!! Regardless of what either of you thinks of her or any other celebrity or person, this was a mother, a sister, a daughter! As far as the issues in her life…. WE ALL HAVE ISSUES!!! Yours is just not in front of the counters. I can also tell you this… a lot of people in this world are sick, hurt, and need help!!! Instead of tearing them down in life and in death, how about building them up. Pray for them, help them, and if they don’t listen, pray from a distance!!! STOP JUDGING! STOP BASHING!!!! And better yet… get a life and stop talking about someone else’s!!!!!!!!!! To the Houston family… I am praying for you!!! And to all the nay sayers and negative talkers on this sight, I am praying for you as well!!!!

  • Linds

    Sorry.. that’s “cameras” not “counters”

  • Marcus

I use a small dose of SSRI and it works very well. I combine that with a good healthy diet and no alcohol. Prescription drugs can be part of a solution, but they’re not a solution alone. When it comes to drug related deaths. 9 times out of 10 there’s been alcohol combined with valium or valium subtitutes. Anyone able to read know that’s a fatal combination.

The world is not black or white. Prescription drugs do help plenty of people as well.

When it comes to Whitney… I think her problems where of a larger magnitude than prescription drugs tbh…

After returning home from Vietnam after my third tour of duty i was diagnosed as to having PTSD. After 42 days in a mental hospital in Houston and after being doped up most of the time i was finally released but it wasn’t the treatment or the drugs but after i got on my knees was i cured.I found out confession is good for the soul.I have never had another nightmare or broke out in a cold sweat since. This was in 1970 when i was released.
