The U.S. Government Is Monitoring All Phone Calls, All Emails And All Internet Activity

The U.S. Government Is Monitoring All Phone Calls, All Emails And All Internet ActivityBig Brother is watching everything that you do on the Internet and listening to everything that you say on your phone.  Every single day in America, the U.S. government intercepts and stores nearly 2 billion emails, phone calls and other forms of electronic communication.  Former NSA employees have come forward and have described exactly what is taking place, and this surveillance activity has been reported on by prominent news organizations such as the Washington Post, Fox News and CNN, but nobody really seems to get too upset about it.  Either most Americans are not aware of what is really going on or they have just accepted it as part of modern life.  But where will this end?  Do we really want to live in a dystopian “Big Brother society” where the government literally reads every single thing that we write and listens to every single thing that we say?  Is that what the future of America is going to look like?  If so, what do you think our founding fathers would have said about that?

Many Americans may not realize this, but nothing that you do on your cell phone or on the Internet will ever be private again.  According to the Washington Post, the NSA intercepts and stores an astounding amount of information every single day…

Every day, collection systems at the National Security Agency intercept and store 1.7 billion e-mails, phone calls and other types of communications. The NSA sorts a fraction of those into 70 separate databases.

But even the Washington Post may not have been aware of the full scope of the surveillance.  In fact, National Security Agency whistleblower William Binney claims that the NSA has collected “20 trillion transactions” involving U.S. citizens…

In fact, I would suggest that they’ve assembled on the order of 20 trillion transactions about U.S. citizens with other U.S. citizens.

And NSA whistleblowers have also told us that the agency “has the capability to do individualized searches, similar to Google, for particular electronic communications in real time through such criteria as target addresses, locations, countries and phone numbers, as well as watch-listed names, keywords, and phrases in email.”

So the NSA must have tremendous data storage needs.  That must be why they are building such a mammoth data storage center out in Utah.  According to Fox News, it will have the capability of storing 5 zettabytes of data…

The NSA says the Utah Data Center is a facility for the intelligence community that will have a major focus on cyber security. The agency will neither confirm nor deny specifics. Some published reports suggest it could hold 5 zettabytes of data. (Just one zettabyte is the equivalent of about 62 billion stacked iPhones 5’s– that stretches past the moon.

Are you outraged by all of this?

You should be.

The U.S. government is spying on the American people and yet they continue to publicly deny that they are actually doing it.

Last week, this government spying program was once again confirmed by another insider.  What former FBI counterterrorism agent Tim Clemente told Erin Burnett of CNN is absolutely astounding

BURNETT: Tim, is there any way, obviously, there is a voice mail they can try to get the phone companies to give that up at this point. It’s not a voice mail. It’s just a conversation. There’s no way they actually can find out what happened, right, unless she tells them?

CLEMENTE: “No, there is a way. We certainly have ways in national security investigations to find out exactly what was said in that conversation. It’s not necessarily something that the FBI is going to want to present in court, but it may help lead the investigation and/or lead to questioning of her. We certainly can find that out.

BURNETT: “So they can actually get that? People are saying, look, that is incredible.

CLEMENTE: “No, welcome to America. All of that stuff is being captured as we speak whether we know it or like it or not.”

Yes, “all of that stuff” is most definitely being “captured” and it is time for the Obama administration to be honest with the American people about what is actually going on.

Meanwhile, the recent bombing in Boston has many of our politicians calling for even tighter surveillance.

For example, New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg recently said that our interpretation of the U.S. Constitution will “have to change” to deal with the new threats that we are facing.  More “smart cameras” are going up in New York, and Bloomberg says that we are “never going to know where all of our cameras are”.  The following is from a recent RT article

New York City police officials intend to expand the already extensive use of surveillance cameras throughout town. The plan, unveiled Thursday, comes as part of a drive for increased security around the US following the Boston Marathon attack.

New York City Police Department Commissioner Ray Kelly announced the plan during a press conference with Mayor Michael Bloomberg, in which the two announced that the suspected Boston Marathon bombers were planning to attack New York next. The pair said they hope to discourage criminals by using so-called “smart cameras” that will aggregate data from 911 alerts, arrest records, mapped crime patterns, surveillance cameras and radiation detectors, among other tools, according to The Verge.

You’re never going to know where all of our cameras are,” Bloomberg told reporters gathered outside City Hall. “And that’s one of the ways you deter people; they just don’t know whether the person sitting next to you is somebody sitting there or a detective watching.”

Will you feel safer if the government is watching you 100% of the time?

Do you want them to see what you are doing 100% of the time?

You might want to think about that, because that is where all of this is headed.

In fact, the truth is that spy cameras are not just going up all over New York City.  Most Americans may not realize this, but a network of spy cameras is now going up all over the nation.  The following is an excerpt from one of my previous articles

“You are being watched.  The government has a secret system – a machine – that spies on you every hour of every day.”  That is how each episode of “Person of Interest” on CBS begins.  Most Americans that have watched the show just assume that such a surveillance network is completely fictional and that the government would never watch us like that.  Sadly, most Americans are wrong.  Shocking new details have emerged this week which prove that a creepy nationwide network of spy cameras is being rolled out across the United States.  Reportedly, these new spy cameras are “more accurate than modern facial recognition technology”, and every few seconds they send back data from cities and major landmarks all over the United States to a centralized processing center where it is analyzed.  The authorities believe that the world has become such a dangerous place that the only way to keep us all safe is to watch what everyone does all the time.  But the truth is that instead of “saving America”, all of these repressive surveillance technologies are slowly killing our liberties and our freedoms.  America is being transformed into an Orwellian prison camp right in front of our eyes, and very few people are even objecting to it.

For many more examples of how the emerging Big Brother surveillance grid is tightening all around us, please see my previous article entitled “19 Signs That America Is Being Systematically Transformed Into A Giant Surveillance Grid“.

Meanwhile, Barack Obama is telling us to reject those that are warning us about government tyranny.  The following is what he told the graduating class of The Ohio State University on May 5th, 2013

Unfortunately, you’ve grown up hearing voices that incessantly warn of government as nothing more than some separate, sinister entity that’s at the root of all our problems. Some of these same voices also do their best to gum up the works. They’ll warn that tyranny always lurking just around the corner. You should reject these voices.

So what do you think?

Should we just ignore all of the violations of our privacy that are happening?

Should we just ignore what the U.S. Constitution says about privacy and let the government monitor us however it wants to?

Please feel free to share what you think by posting a comment below…

The Eye Is Watching You

  • Has anyone counted up the cost of all this watching?
Maybe that is part of what is causing us to be in all this debt.
It is not humanly possible to watch everyone 100% of the time. So they have machines monitor for key words. Only the people that know this use other words instead. Phrases pre-arranged to be innocuous. “Nice weather we are having. Looks like rain tomorrow though.” This might have an entirely different meaning for someone in the know.
I have a very moderate knowledge of American Sign Language as spoken by the deaf. It is very small knowledge on my part. But others speak it fluently. The problem with monitors is they often do not see what is said with one’s fingers. So any smart opposition would speak fluent sign. This is also handy in skindiving.
I figure the monitoring costs trillions. Hard to tell with not knowing the exact extent of it.
How much do I really want to know about the toilet paper in a foreign country’s outhouse? Or how many dimples there are on our enemy’s behinds? Is it worth trillions of dollars to find out?
Perhaps we should attack the financing of these projects . . . because it can really become ridiculous.

  • seth datta

This thing does exist. It is the devil. To distract us form the real GOD of heaven and earth.

  • Kritischer_Realist

Total control is one of the most important goals of every communist system. You should never forget who the people were that invented communism and who the people are that try to enforce it nowadays.

    • glendaleburbank

It’s all about FEAR folks. If they can scare you then they’ve got you. If you can learn not to fear…then they are screwed.

      • THEanon

So exactly, don’t be phased by this, let them record. You haven’t done anything wrong, and they know it. So they ignore you and go after the terrorists, win win.

        • Gay Veteran

I’m sure you don’t find some government agent listening in on your conversation with your spouse, like a good little German

          • THEanon

Wow, who said I’d have a spouse? Who needs phones in th first place? Also, if you hate gov. Monitoring, why not take it up with Anonymous, they’d love to help with this crap.

        • alan watson

          THEanon you are an idiot

    • It’s not communism. It’s corporatism with the CIA and NSA being used as corporate security.

      • Kritischer_Realist

Where’s the exact difference between CIA, NSA and KGB?

        • THEanon

They are all intelligence agencies, the difference is their goals and the country they are run by.

          • Kritischer_Realist

There is no difference in their goals. Their only goal is to suppress freedom.

          • THEanon

Not really. More like to spy on each other, totally waiting the money they are given.

    • THEanon

Actually, communism was tolerable until that douche Stalin took control, before that communist were content to leave the world alone.

      • Kritischer_Realist

I object. Communism is never tolerable. It is the ideology of plunderers.

        • THEanon

How? It’s the ideology that everyone can be fed, and that the rich could be punished for their cruelty to the poor. Basic accountability. However, they had one problem, It became dictatorship. So it started it as a good idea, it just went south.

          • Kritischer_Realist

There is no proof for any cruelty of the rich to the poor.

And of course anybody can be fed – but that shouldn’t be done, as there is no sense in feeding people who can’t do that themselves. The only result is a massive growth of people that only can survive by plundering the others.

And communism didn’t »become« a dictatorship – communism can only be reached in a dictatorship.

          • THEanon

Jesus preached equality for all, right? Jesus was a communist. Simple

            U mad middleclassamericanrednecks?

            Trololololololololololol ….

          • Jesus did not preach equality. Romans 9:13 “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated” does not sound very equal. The sheep and goats of Matthew 25 are not very equal.

We are to “Strive for peace with everyone” (Hebrews 12:14), but “what fellowship has light with darkness?” (2 Corinthians 6:14).

          • THEanon

No need for that, you’re being repetitive.

          • Kritischer_Realist

Jesus did NOT preach equality. He preached equal rights. That’s a massive difference.

          • THEanon

In Soviet Union, You die for Jesus’s Sins

Sorry, I wanted to make a USSR joke.

          • Cindy Bear

Sorry to contradict you, but Jesus never preached equality for all. He preached that His church, His bride, was the elect, chosen of God. God’s children are set apart from the rest of the world and they are joint-heirs with Christ. He called those who sought to destroy Him the children of the devil. He also died for their sins, but He does not consider them equal with His elect bride.

          • Paul

Soooo.. He taught inequality and racism based on a fictional story book.. Sounds hateful…

          • Cindy Bear

Believe what you choose to believe. Judgment Day will make believers out of all mankind.

          • Brien

He loves all, he did say that those who humble themselves, do his commandments, love all, love god first, try and walk away from sin, and believe in him, will be saved, and perfected, he didn’t say he held anyone needs above anyone else, he did say to not judge, and not to call anyone he called clean, unclean. So know a sinner today can be saved tomorrow. We are not better than any other sinner, we have just chosen god.

          • Brien

His elect will be better after they are perfected, because no one can be perfect without, our saviour God.

After Utah received stimulus dollars they widened I-15 and installed surveillance cameras about every mile on the freeway. I-15 desperately needed to be widened but it came with a price. Not only the freeway but every single traffic light has a surveillance camera too. Privacy is dead.

No, not really. I don’t think they give half a rats dead, drowned, ass. The most they will do is just give youse me dumbass letter saying “we know what you did”. They probably won’t do anything about it, except that email, and the only thing that is keeping you controlled is you. Solution? Mark it as spam then delete it. I’m more afraid of the machines they are trying to create that will predict if you will commit a crime or not.

The people will have rise up time and time again as Thomas Jefferson said because assos will think they can ruff shod your life, your Constitution, your government and your “stuff” from time to time.

I have no way to explain except that God CURSED this world with enmity in humans. To create friction, confrontation, an opposing.

Personally I think God created liberals to be used against US when we sin as punishment.

  • It doesn’t matter these days (apparently) what the founding fathers would say about it, they are dead and most of society is too busy trying to make ends meet these days to care about what goes on in their government behind closed doors. Oh, thanks to the government.

    • Kukye

Do not fall for that trap. They (the elite) have designed the money system (Fake Federal Reserve) to keep you enslaved.

Note how everything is geared to your income? Mortgage, credit cards, loans, etc. Just enough to keep you enslaved for years and years until you are ready to die. Note how you just barely make it. Sounds like slavery to you?

Just the way they want it. You work for them, not the other way around. SLAVES see???

Their corruptness and the guaranteed Federal Reserve makes sure they KEEP it that way.

Again, don’t fall for it. Get out of debt, get out of the useless toys they offer, and learn about the Constitution and DO something about it.

Only the truth will set you free…..

Go home talk on phone about how much he or she will make for showing up for a golf game. Talk on phone and discuss how much he or she will make for a Saturday night meeting. Talk on phone and discuss how much he or she will make if they show up at a Church. Go for late night drinks and talk about how much he or she will be paid to show up for work on Monday. Start the process over. Make schedules to shoot the s*** with the other worthless Senators, Congressmen and debate on who makes the most money on waisting taxpayer dollars. I live in one of those American towns now where going out your front door subjects you to comprehensive facial recognition cameras at traffic intersections, more cameras at stores and other businesses, police who can and do approach you on the basis of “law” which can only be described in fluid terms (it’s whatever they feel like at the time), and that is just at the local level. This article extends the rape of our lives to the national and international level, where “law” is a laughable irrelevance. But, of course, there is nothing laughable about the destruction of a basic human need for privacy and space around them. America is insane, on more levels than what is even being discussed here.

  • Religion and IQ don’t usually mingle well together. OK, Mr. Jefferson:)

    • HerrinSchadenfreude

Let’s say for the sake of argument that religion and mental quotient, which is what IQ is, weren’t entirely dissimilar concepts with no real relationship to each other which makes the implication that they are inversely proportional irrelevant. Okay? Let’s do it your way.

Atheism wouldn’t “mingle” with intelligence any better, I’m afraid. It’s little more than another opinion about the existence of and importance of, a divine creator. And so the atheist displays no more intelligence engaging in conversations about the non existence of god than the pious do conversing about god’s existence.

The truly intelligent wouldn’t engage at all on the subject. By your rules. So, should we dispense with such misguided claims about IQ and religion? Or is dumb fitting you now as well as you claim it does those you reply to?

  • This is all absolutely true. The secret service has been to my house. I’ve since deleted my facebook account and all my emails. People, the FBI is building the facial recognition database, stop uploading current pictures of yourself, stop teaching them that you’re anti government, you will be detained when they make some false flag that they need to gather up all the dissenters. I’m on the list already. Big brother is here. I predicted as soon as the Boston bombing too that they would use it as an excuse to put up cameras. Now their drones and cameras could simple wait until they find your face with software, without even a person looking for you. They’ll be able to track us so well. I don’t own a cellphone because the companies sold out to the government.

NSA must be wetting their panties over this blog, ya gotta love it.

People are complacent. Give them an electronic toy and that’s all they care about. The younger generations don’t have a clue about anything; they are obsessed with video games, cell phones, and the latest Apple gadget. They don’t even look up to notice the cameras.

Computer surviallance is easily sidestepped. Before returning to the US, upload the entire drive to the encrypted Carbonite service you subscribe to. Then wipe the drive clean you risk submitting . Then reconstitute the contents within the US borders.

Is there anybody who knows if it’s like this everywhere? Does all governments in democratical countries do like this?

    • Larger countries use systems like the Narus Insight (a Boeing company) to gobble up the massive traffic from every citizen. Smaller countries are offered systems for a few million dollars to “capture everything about everyone”. This is an oppressive regime’s delight.

Being outside of the US does not grant you freedom from a watchful eye.

wouldn’t you rather them be watching people for signs of crime and terrorism so to save lives? if someone is trying to hide something from the government, it can’t be a good thing. It’s best if they find out. I really don’t care if my internet is being watched. I have nothing to hide.

    • Anna,

I must admit I was very saddened by your comment. Please don’t take offense but it is a naive trust you have in government.

Those with truly nothing to hide walk naked on the streets with their ids and bank account information plainly visible.

Please remember that history shows that foreign threat, war or terrorism, is minor compared to democide, a government killing its own people. The US has become Nazi America ( The difference between 1942 German and 2013 US is only language.

It is not a question of nothing to hide, but do you cower and submit to the boot as described by Orwell, or to you stand as a freeman?

its actually kinda funny, they are monitoring everything that goes out electronically but they have gotten themselves into such an overload that while they have all this info its impossible for them to analyze and act on threats in time so they are stuck with creating scenarios to keep ppl scared and to demonstrate why they should be allowed to continue to keep their jobs. the FBI was doing this waaaay back when

The anon you clearly don’t understand the way the power that this information has once it is collected, if it falls into the “wrong hands”, or WORSE, the “right” hands.

    Sorry for the typos

Because that is where it goes. And that’s the funny happy silly badly worded version created by my ridiculously unmanicured iPhone habits…

and as far as fear is concerned… Trying using that line of logic once incarcerated…fear is a very powerful weapon… That is why the policies that are used to give legitimacy to these Stalinist measures should be highly and actively contested. Rather be blown up by a jihadist than live the rest of my life in a cage, and I was in NYC downtown on 9/11, and still reside in New York.

  • Nisha

I was about 10 blocks from the wtc on that day and I am telling you that the effect the policies have had on this city have been not to make anyone feel safer, but to increase the unhappiness quotient to such an extent that there are probably more than a few people wishing they had been blown the ;:$;@ up, pardon my French. As completely and profoundly sick as that sounds… no offense meant to the families of the deceased…

Wake up america, we are being watched, no one has privacy, there is even ways to watch us in our homes, cars etc.
