One-Third Of All Americans Don’t Make Enough Money To Even Cover The Basic Necessities

Sad Child - Public DomainDo you remember the days when it seemed like almost everyone in America was middle class?  Unfortunately, those days are long gone and the grinding down of the middle class in the United States appears to be accelerating.  According to a brand new study that was just released by Pew Charitable Trusts, household spending increased by 14 percent between 2004 and 2014, but median household income decreased by 13 percent during that same time period.  Both of those figures were adjusted for inflation.  What this means is that the cost of living has steadily gone up, but our incomes have gone down.  In fact, as you will see below approximately one-third of all Americans don’t even make enough money to pay for the basic necessities at this point.  The middle class is being squeezed like never before, and very few of our leaders seem to care. 25 Horrible Statistics About The U.S. Economy That Barack Obama Does Not Want You To Know

The human capacity for self-delusion truly is remarkable.  Most people out there end up believing exactly what they want to believe even when the truth is staring them right in the face.  Take the U.S. economy for example.  Barack Obama wants to believe that his policies have worked and that the U.S. economy is improving.  So that is what he is telling the American people.  The mainstream media wants to believe that Barack Obama is a good president and that his policies make sense and so they are reporting that we are experiencing an economic recovery.  A very large segment of the U.S. population still fully supports Barack Obama and they want to believe that the economy is getting better so they are buying the propaganda that the mainstream media is feeding them.  But is the U.S. economy really improving?  The truth is that it is not.  The rate of employment among working age Americans is exactly where it was two years ago and household incomes have actually gone down while Obama has been president.  Home ownership levels and home prices continue to decline.  Meanwhile, food and gasoline continue to become even more expensive.  The percentage of Americans that are dependent on the government is at an all-time record high and the U.S. national debt has risen by more than 5 trillion dollars under Obama.  We simply have not seen the type of economic recovery that we have seen after every other economic recession since World War II. Most Americans know that things used to be much better in the United States, but they don’t have the facts and the figures to back that belief up. Well, after reading the shocking statistics in this article nobody should be left with any doubt that things have gotten worse in America.  There are less jobs, incomes are down, home values have plummeted, poverty is up, consumer debt is way up, dependence of the government has skyrocketed and government debt is totally out of control.  Sadly, it hasn’t really mattered which political party has had control over the White House.  Things have gotten worse under Obama, they got worse under Bush, and they got worse under Clinton.  We are in the midst of a horrific long-term economic decline and the American people desperately need to wake up. You Won’t Believe How Corrupt, Lazy And Stinking Rich Our Congress Critters Have Become

If our founding fathers could see the cesspool that the U.S. Congress has become today, they would roll over in their graves.  Most Americans don’t realize this, but we already have a “part-time Congress”.  Members of Congress only “work” a little over a third of the days on the calendar.  The rest of the time they have off.  It is no wonder why so many members of Congress are involved in so much corruption – they have so much free time on their hands that they are bound to get into trouble.  Many members of Congress also use their positions of power and the information they learn during the course of their duties to become fabulously wealthy.  At a time when incomes nationally are actually declining, our Congress critters are becoming stinking rich at a staggering pace.  Yes, politics in America has always been a game that is funded and played by wealthy individuals, but things have gotten so extreme that it is hard to argue that average Americans have any control over Congress at all at this point.  Instead of a government “of the people, by the people and for the people”, we now have a government “of the wealthy, by the wealthy, and for the wealthy”.  If you doubt this, just keep on reading. 29 Amazing Stats Which Prove That The Rich Are Getting Richer And The Poor Are Getting Poorer

In the United States today, there is one group of people that is actually living the American Dream.  The ultra-wealthy have seen their incomes absolutely explode over the past three decades.  Meanwhile, the U.S. middle class has been steadily declining and the ranks of the poor have been swelling.  But this is what always happens when an economy becomes highly centralized.  Today, gigantic corporations and “too big to fail” banks totally dominate our economic system.  The whole game is rigged.  Our system is now designed to funnel wealth away from the bottom 90 percent of the population and into the pockets of the ultra-wealthy.  When you allow a handful of giant entities to run everything, it is going to inevitably create a situation where there are a small number of very big winners and a massive amount of losers.  In America today, the rich are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer.  Yes, there will always be poor people.  Yes, those that work really hard and produce something of great value for society should be greatly rewarded.  The way that our system should work is that it should empower individuals and small businesses to come up with new ideas, start companies, create jobs and produce massive amounts of new wealth.  But instead, the number of small businesses in America is rapidly declining.  The giant banks and the giant corporations that run everything are constantly running around stomping all of the “little guys” out of existence.  This has created an environment where the rich are constantly getting richer and the poor are constantly getting poorer.
