Solid Evidence That Occupy Wall Street Is A Communist Movement Run By Socialists Who Wish To Bring Down The Free Enterprise System

Is Occupy Wall Street a communist movement?  Is it being run by socialists who wish to bring down the free enterprise system?  As you will see in this article, the answer to both questions is yes.  Of course many of the people participating in these protests want nothing to do with either socialism or communism.  Many of the protesters are simply angry at the big banks or they just want something to be done about the economy.  But the truth is that when you take a close look at the “organizers”, the literature and the stated goals of this movement, you see socialism and communism everywhere.  As our economic system crumbles, an increasing number of Americans are coming out of the woodwork and are proudly declaring that they are socialists or communists.  An increasing number of Americans truly believe that the free enterprise system needs to be brought down and that the answer to our problems is to fully embrace socialism and/or communism.  Sadly, this puts Occupy Wall Street in direct opposition to what our founding fathers intended.

If you want to know what these protests are all about, just go down and visit one of them.  The following is what Charles Gasparino of the New York Post found when he recently took a trip down to Zuccotti Park….

It’s not an overstatement to describe Zuccotti Park as New York’s Marxist epicenter. Flags with the iconic face of the Marxist revolutionary Che Guevara are everywhere; the only American flag I saw was hanging upside down. The “occupiers” openly refer to each other as “comrade,” and just about every piece of literature on offer (free or for sale) advocated socialism in the Marxist tradition as a cure-all for the inequalities of the American economic system.

Yes, there are millions upon millions of Americans that are upset with the big banks and with the rampant corruption down on Wall Street.

But is “socialism in the Marxist tradition” the answer to all of our problems?

Of course not.

During his visit, Gasparino also picked up some very interesting literature….

Maybe the worse-spent dollar I have ever spent in my life was on a propaganda broadsheet titled “Justice,” which advocates “Struggle, Solidarity, Socialism.” On the front page of the newspaper-like document, beneath the headline “Capitalism: System Failure,” was a tease for a story on the economy and how “influential business economist Nouriel Roubini” recently said how “Karl Marx had it right. At some point, capitalism can destroy itself.”

But it is not just in New York where you find this sort of thing.

For example, a stunning report from a visitor to Occupy Charlotte was recently posted on the Economic Policy Journal blog….

An organizer began reading a script in the way that a minister reads wedding vows, with pauses for the audience to repeat each phrase. The first order of business was an agreement that organizing committee names would be drawn from a hat. The inner circle were known to each other in advance. I could not see the hat, or the people drawing the names, so I can’t say exactly what happened, but I can conjecture.

In any case, organizers were selected from the hat. The very next order of business, I kid you not, was “All socialists will huddle at such-and-such area.”

Silence. The rest of us are wondering, OK, are they going to suggest any other groups? Next announcement: organize in small groups any way you want.

The self-identified socialists huddle. By some miraculous coincidence, the anointed leaders are all socialists.

This is what you will find in city after city.  Most of the “leaders” somehow happen to be socialists of one sort or another.

It should be no surprise that Communist Party USA  has officially endorsed the Occupy Wall Street protests.

In fact, communist leaders have been speaking at many of the protests.  For example, a spokesperson for the national board of Communist Party USA spoke to Occupy Chicago the other day.  As you can see from the video posted below, his remarks were greeted with tremendous enthusiasm….

In the video, you can also see protesters marching with Occupy Chicago that are carrying communist flags and that are wearing shirts promoting Communist Party USA.

In this next video, an “organizer” of the Occupy Greensboro protests explains what this “movement” is really all about….

***”We’re the International Socialists Organization… Our goal is to raise political consciousness to build a revolutionary party and work for a revolution here in the United States.”***

***”The problem is capitalism… We need a new system that’s going to put people first and put profit back to the wasteland of history.”***

***”Socialism is the solution. We need a society where everything is produced to meet human needs and wants rather than to make money off of them.”***

The following is video of her comments….

The truth is that the goals of the Occupy Wall Street movement are not some great mystery.  They have put them out there for everyone to see.

Yesterday, I reported on “The 99 Percent Declaration“, which details the tentative demands of this protest movement.

The following are some of the things that they want….

*Much higher taxes on the wealthy

*The government to provide health care for all Americans

*The EPA to be given the power to shut down any corporation or organization that is damaging the environment

*Student loan debt relief

*Immediate passage of the Dream Act

*Mortgage debt relief and for all underwater and foreclosed mortgages to be bought and refinanced at interest rates of less than one percent

*An immediate one year freeze on all foreclosures

Basically, what the protesters are demanding is a much larger federal government that takes from the wealthy and that gives lots of stuff to them for free.

An increasing number of Americans believe that things such as housing, college education and health care are “rights” that the government should be required to provide for them.

This is especially true among our young people.  We have trained them to have an “entitlement mindset”, but we have not trained them to work hard for what they want out of life.

Yes, our economy is a complete and total mess, but the answer is not socialism.

Our nation once had an economy that was the envy of the entire globe.  Our free enterprise system was at the heart of that economic boom.

We need to get back to what once made this country great.  We don’t want to go down the path that so many other nations have gone down in the past.

One more thing about the Occupy Wall Street protests….

It is curious that approximately three months ago a high level CIA operative began working inside the New York Police Department.

Nobody seems to know exactly why he is there.

His job title with the NYPD is “special assistant to the deputy commissioner of intelligence“.

The timing of all of this is more than a little unusual.

Does this have any connection to the Occupy Wall Street protests?

Did the CIA know that the protests were coming?

It all just seems a little too convenient.

We live in a very strange world.

As the economy falls apart even more, America is going to become very angry.  Millions of Americans are going to be searching for a way to express their frustrations.

Many of them will be pulled into protest movements that are run by socialists and communists without even realizing it.

We are a nation that has already been highly socialized, and yet we are going to see protests all over the nation calling for even more socialism.

Today, U.S. households receive more money directly from the U.S. government than they are paying to the government in taxes.

How much farther do we want to go?

Socialism is not the answer.

Communism is not the answer.

Hopefully America will wake up and will remember what once made us so great.

For those of you that would defend this movement, I hope that you are aware of some of the things that are going on at these protests.  For example, I love my country and I would never utter the words that some crazed lunatics from Occupy Portland are singing in this video.

Is there anyone out there that wants to defend what those idiots are singing?

  • Gay Veteran

Karl Denninger (a libertarian who helped found the Tea Party movement) doesn’t share your opinion that the Occupy movement is controlled by “socialists”:

Occupy Pensacola: Alleged “Conservatives” Better Wake Up
“…there was one overwhelming theme: The people have been robbed, the Wall Street and DC people did it, and the people have had enough of the lies, broken promises and outright theft….”

The Powers That Be will do anything to hold onto power, and that includes using their tools like the New York Post to smear the Occupy movement.

You wrote: “…An increasing number of Americans truly believe that the free enterprise system needs to be brought down….”

We do NOT have a “free enterprise system” here in America. We have crony capitalism, corporatism (better known in the original Italian as fascism).

The Right AND Left must unify to “politically castrate” the banksters, the billionaires, and the multinational corporations who have bought the politicians. Labor built this country, labor should govern this country.

    • tea party is controlled opposition (Perry,et al)

and sodomy is a sin crying to Heaven, one that brings destruction to you and the whole nation…..

gay used to mean “happy”, now means God hating sodomy…

      • PaulF

      • Actually, Sodomy means rectal rape – and women can be sodomized as well – while homosexuality is a sin – to this point I concur – it is not as bad as self-righteousness & hypocrisy – not that I am pointing an accusing finger at the above post. Many Republicans are ************* hypocrites – such as Lindsey Graham – when an article came out that he was being blackmailed into holding unpopular positions because he was a closet “gay” – the article did not condemn his being an “anercoitus” [Greek, man coitus = homosexual] – it condemned his being blackmailed. When this came out without major repurcussions – he reversed unpopular positions. It is clear to me that the unratified “17th amendment” needs to be repudiated and the delegation of senators left to the state legislatures where the organic constitution placed it.

    • KnightOwl

Labor built nothing without materials which were purchased with money. Labor on its own is a bunch of people sitting around waiting for the boss to come down and tell them what to do and how to do it…
Crooked politicians rigged the system in favor of people who made the biggest contributions to their campaigns.
It is not capitalism that needs bringing down, it is the Fed. Wall Street also needs substantial reform. Does it make any sense for people to make money by betting against industries or their own country with Hedge funds or Shorts? If you want to invest, buy a stock. If you want to gamble, go to Vegas…

  • William

No, no, no……those REAL Bolshevik Communists who established Communism in Russia are the enemies of OWS. Just view Faux News……..

    • Guido

Yeah, keep calling Fox the fake news, unlike the mainstream reporters who have been writing for and coaching the Handout Party protesters, creating news instead of reporting it. NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, MSNBC are the real news…

  • Deborah

I disagree with this article. I was at Zucatti Park yesterday and what I felt was a movement of people that believe in most of what you post on your site. I support OWS and plan on attending more rallies in the future. Yes, there are different ideologies present in the movement most are not against capitalism, but they are against GREED. That is what it is about in NYC. It is about respecting everyone and combinging ideas to improve our society for people, not profit.

By and large, I agree with the article. Although I agree with you that there are some well meaning people (as there always is in movements like this), the bottom line is that in the main this is a movement that if not now it soon will be bought and paid for lock, stock, and barrel by the democrat wing of the war party.

If the teabaggers and the wallstreeters had the presence of mind and the force of intellect to join forces and crush the bankers and their office holding political minions, then you might have a case to make for a grassroots movement making inroads for positive change. But this movement, like the teabaggers before them selling out to the republican wing of the war party, will sell out for their two pieces of silver and walk away thinking that they have done something important. GOOD RULE OF THUMB: If the state and corporate powers that be don’t try and kill you, you aren’t making progress.

    • cmm912

      Dear Deborah,
That’s funny, because I have been to Zuccotti 3 times so far, and EVERYTHING mentioned in this blog was 1000% ACCURATE! And like Charles Gasparini, from the NY Post, who was mentioned in this blog, I too received MANY handouts and “newspapers” and EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS SOCIALIST OR MARXIST IN NATURE, EVERY SINGLE ONE!!! Apparently you are blind, or walk around with rose colored glasses on. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

      • Michael

Wow – I would love to hear more about your visits down there.

If you have any additional tidbits of info that you would like to share that would be great.

      • Smfrmrinfrisco

Inasmuch as the Institutional Left has always been big on print media it would have been more astounding and strange for you to NOT receive tons of literature, CMM912! And its an old organiing trick to put lots of paper with your logo and positions in folks hands so you can say, “See! People take us seriously and agree with us!” when that is not necessarily the truth.

I note that when Commie hunters go looking for Commies they usually find them even when they aren’t there. But using reports published by the NY Post which is owned by Rupert Murdoch as a source of “news” on OWS is laughable at best….

And folks who wear glasses oughta get their prescriptions checked when they begin seeing things that aren’t always there or as big as they imagine them to be…

    • Guido

Just one thing-what, exactly, counts as greed? Who is to say what greed is? Just what is greed and how much money is too much?

Because I want to know where you choose to stop my freedom. I want to know what the formula is for trying to make the best life you can for yourself versus being greedy. Oh, and where does ambition go from being a good thing to evil?

I kind of think greed is good. It is probably one of the purest motives in the world and one everyone can understand. I think it’s perfectly natural-watch animals enough and you’ll see they’re greedy.

While greed is called evil-you can’t go wrong if you bank on people being greedy. It’s those damn altruists who seem to cause all the problems-there’s no way to identify them or anticipate them before its too late-but greedy is always easy to understand and plan for.

It’s sort of how they set up our system to work so well-the Founders set up a system that assumes people will be greedy and pits them against each other to insure they rarely get everything their way. Congressman A’s greed is a check and balance against Senator B’s greed. Altruism, in comparison, screws the whole system up.

  • mark

Well said Michael, I hope that enough people will wake up to the danger of the Marxists before it is too late. These protesters will be the useful idiots for an army of communists. The public schools with the teachers union which is supplying a building near wall street for supplies for the protesters has taught many of our children to have their hands out for many of their needs. Free breakfasts and lunch to name two. Glenn Beck on his old TV show commented back in May about what would take place this fall. He was spot on to a T. Let’s hope for a real early winter with lots of snow starting next week.

    • Nexus789

There are so many morons in the US.

    • Hi there

Glen Beck? LOL, you’re kidding right?

  • Heidi

Wow, what a disappointment to read this divisive article on such a good website.

This movement is “We The People.” My sign at the protest in Redding,Ca two days ago said “Right or Left; We are the 99%”

The corporate owned media is trying to divide the people so we can be defeated and the obscenely rich can continue to milk “We The People” until there is nothing left to give.

The proof is indisputable. All three branches of our Federal government are run by people who worked for the industries they now regulate (and go back to work for them!)

Lets keep our eyes on the goal. A government run by the people and for the people as intended.

Please, lets stay united and bring about change that will be fair to the working people.

    Thanks for listening,

    • Nexus789

A sensible person. I agree with that it is an opinionated piece. In fact I would go so as to say this site is now a waste of time based on this rubbish and also the underlying ‘god’ themes that are found in many of the responses.

  • DEFCONStudios

The following is also useful information and facts concerning this Occupy Movement. This is an Artificial Grass-Roots movement with involvement at the highest levels of Government. It is ‘Manufactured Dissent’. I had posted this before in other topics but this is crucial information to be shared as this Occupy Movement is part of the Globalists Plan’s for consolidation of the New World Order.

    • cmm912

      EXCELLENT info!!! Thanx!

      • Mark Metzler

        “…..recieved over $7 million from George Soros…”

Well…I think this article just pointed out the foolishness of those who said the Occupy movement was ‘socialist’. Whatever else George Soros is….if he can give away $7 million of his own money…he is not a ‘socialist’.

Obviously Soros is a wealthy Democrat. But, that is not a ‘Socialist’ or a ‘Communist’. In fact…if you do a Google search…you will find that Soros played a leading role in funding the collapse of Communism in Eastern Europe. So….NO..he is not a Communist!!!

Get out your high school civics text…and look up these terms: Democrat, Republican, Libertarian, Socialist, Communist….

They all have different meanings. if you can’t tell the difference…you need to go back to high school…and take the courses again…before you try to engage in adult political discussion!!!

  • D

Greed will make all forms of government fail – Doesn’t matter if it’s communism, capitalism, fascism, or socialism. It’s really that simple. I don’t understand why we are still fighting over this nonsense. It’s much too late to reverse the damage done to the world. This is all a manifestation of the battle going on in the spiritual realm – prophesized in all religions. Just have to prepare the best you can.

11-11-11 will be a date to remember in regards to awakening of something big. We are in the battle of good vs. evil. Fortunately, good will win, but with the expense of many lives and destruction. The human species failed as a race, and it is time for us to move on.

  • Kevin

We don’t have free enterprise. It’s a rigged game with pump and dump complements of the abandonment of Glass-Stegall. The “Federal Reserve is Free Enterprise? Taxes on the wealthy? At one time taxing those with money inhibited economic growth in the US because what they bought and where they invested was in the US. That is sadly no longer the case and if they don’t buy a BMW or Benz because a few more bucks came off the top so be it. Some of the stuff is “out there” for sure but the label communist was used to describe the civil rights movement too.

  • The irony is that the real motive behind Communism is not to distribute the wealth of the world equally…

but the Communist Party is just a front for the super-rich as an instrument for gaining and using power.

So the ‘elite bankers’ that these OWS protesters rally against, are the ones who would benefit the most from a Maxist regime.

    What a joke!

  • Marxism tells the poor that if they would establish a dictatorship of the working class, which would set up a classless Communist society, everyone would live in peace, prosperity, and freedom.

It’s amazing that people don’t learn from history, to see that it hasn’t worked so well for people in communist countries.

It should be interesting to see how the OWS movement plays out, especially heading into the 2012 elections.

    • Nexus789

You have no idea what you are writing. Like most Americans you are so insular and unlearned. You are suggesting I believe that the current system is okay. America is finished and so is its empire. The the majority of the population are now doomed to poverty.

      • Guido

Uh, actually, I think he’s correct. The dictatorship of the workers is supposed to lead to a wonderful utopia that, strangely, hasn’t been achieved in ANY of the many nations where it has been attempted. At no point in his comment, however, did he state anything about our present system.

Personally, I’m all for freedom and the right to keep my money I earn from working for a living right in my pocket. And shrinking government to a manageable level. And getting the freeloaders off the federal dime (at best, it’s the states’ responsibility).

      • Nexus789, my comment was in regard to the many NY OWS protestors who are advocating Communism as the solution.

My comment was not directed at you, so I didn’t suggest that YOU believe anything.

You obviously have a disdain for the U.S. What wonderful country do you live in?

As for me being ‘unlearned’, you can read this NWO summary page and judge for yourself

  • Jane

It is time to leave the U.S. if you can. If you can’t, move out of the cities and live as cheaply as possible. We are on borrowed time……..

  • Ted

Most Americans aren’t waking up to what made this country great. We’re rushing headlong to our own destruction and while you’re hoping for the best, the impression I get is that your plan is to prepare for impact, no? You can see what’s going to happen, but we’ve all become accustomed to seat belts and airbags so we’re preparing for impact. I think a better option would be to find a ride that isn’t going to crash. What are you going to do if you survive the impact comrade? I say comrade because I get the impression you aren’t planning on leaving. We are not witnessing the birth of a new far left political party, just one that is finally coming out of the closet.

I’m not buckling up, I’m getting out while I still can. Amerika, love it or leave it comrade.

  • Texan Patriot

OWS are communist saboteurs raking up million dollar bills for the taxpayers–via police overtime– of NY who actually WORK for a living as opposed to being a bunch of envious, greedy, drugged up, union(extortion loving & job destroying mafias) supported, uneducated freeloaders with utterly asinine demands:no borders, erase all debt college debt, $20/hour minimum wage (which will kill job creation), and jobs as a “right” (pure communism ((which failed and under which 120 million people were murdered.))

    • When’s Dinner?

lol 20$ an hour minimum wage lol. That is just to funny. If that ever happened in America, every business in America will file chapter 13 in a New York Minute. Who can afford to pay each employee 20 bucks an hour ?

    • same to from Tea Party, a false “movement of the people”, headed by Bilderberger Rick Perry, Sarah Palin(who met the week of her VP debate w/Kissinger),Bachmann (neocon insider)….etc….

  • Texan Patriot

7 of 10 of Obama’s campaign contributors were either banksters or wall sleaze. Obama doesn’t care. He even said the large number of unemployed are because of productivity increases. He doesn’t care. These communist fools think Obama cares about them! LOL

    • When’s Dinner?

people dont even realize that. Most of these protesters love Obama but hate the people (the banks) who put him in office ?

    • Halliburton….amongst others…..Bush legacy…texans really are not too bright, they inflicted us w/Bushs, no Perry and love justice system there is a travesty…..

    • Hi there

Obama, What a joke!! I read 2012 cant come soon enough. Im inclined to agree! Ron Paul 2012!

  • Texan Patriot

On year freeze on all foreclosures? Obama doesn’t care. He could have had mortgages reduced by 25% if he had wanted to. Obama is a typical charlatan scoundrel who talks the talk but doesn’t walk the talk. He is too busy blowing millons on Air Force One flights for personal reasons all over the country. He tells people to spend less on vacations while his wife and dozens of her friends went to Spain on a fancy holiday that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Obama hates America. Obama gave Brazil millions of dollars in loans to drill in deep (dangerous) open ocean waters but bans drilling in the gulf which only causes higher gas prices and lost jobs here.

    • When’s Dinner?

If you disagree with Obama, you pay your mortgage, and if you miss one payment you get foreclosed on. If you agree with Obama, free housing for life! Sound good ?

    • Bush too hated America and you Texans inflicted him on us and still love him to death…..43% rise in Govt programs/spending 2000-2004, not on military, either.then 2 multi-trillion dollar wars down the drain, Patriot Acts, etc.etc……you get drift. NEITHER Party (realy, one), nor their leaders give a damn about you, me or the nation…..

  • A Dodgy Bloke

OWS is dominated by Commies Socialists and other hard left and Red bozos I am shocked and appalled (I am wearing an expression of shock and horror). One any dimwit who think by cutting defense and “taxing the rich” into oblivion will erase a fourteen trillion dollar debt and will pay for the lefty laundry list of bennies cant do third grade math. I’m not going to go into the unfunded liabilities or the fact the neither of these dead ideologies has worked anywhere on the planet. Just the fact that there are human beings calling themselves Socialists and Communists in 2011 makes me wonder if leftist thought is some sort of mental disorder not yet in the ICD-9. Remember BETTER DEAD THAN RED, AND IT’S THE MATH STUPID.

    • Highspeedloafer

Amen Dodgy, The demands of this group would be national suicide. Better Dead Than Red!!!!!!!

    • Guido

That’s OK. Were they to get what they want and succeed with their Trash the Nation plan, you can bet there will be a flight of wealth and talent from this nation. The American diaspora would be the most talented, able, creative people of the nation and any nation would be lucky to have them. They would be like the Lebanese in West Africa or the Chinese in S.E. Asia or the Copts in Egypt-the folks who get things done wherever they go.
Read Rudyard Kipling’s Mother Hive. It’s a short story about a bee hive that goes bad with an insidious infection of wax moths who convince the bees to take it easy. With the hive collapsing, the last productive bees swarm with a queen, only to face a desperate horde of hungry, fearful bees who know they can’t support themselves…

  • Gary2

Michael-you have now sunk to the level of right wing hack. I will not even dignify your fox news style reporting with a reply.

    How low will you go?

    • Michael

In a recent article on The Economic Collapse I ripped the Herman Cain tax plan to shreds and in an earlier article on this site I called for John Boehner to resign.

I also wrote an article that gave 14 reasons why Rick Perry would be a really, really bad president.

I give it to both sides.

      • Colin

I feel that you believe sincerely that you are giving equal treatment to both sides; however, your words betray you over and over.

Socialism was a counter-movement to the Capitalism system in the 18th century. This counter-movement was an attempt to address the issues raised by the Capitalistic system which was proven as being harmful to the worker and society. There is nothing inherently wrong about Socialism. The execution of Socialism tenets may not have been always successful, but it did raise the standard of living for tens of millions of people.

        • Ben Dover

Socialism will never work as long as its being tried by human beings.

          • and our “system” has???

For whom, exactly? Not for me.

        • want a Christian economic system that fights both marxism and capitalism, centered on the family and Christ?

Distributism-works when worked, often misunderstood by those with short memory spans…….or those that spend 5 minutes or less reading about it, usually from anti-distributists..

        • KnightOwl

…”but it did raise the standard of living for tens of millions of people.”

LOL only by murdering millions of their own citizens…

Socialism does NOT raise people up, it brings the top down so all are equally miserable. Of course with the exceptions of the dear leaders who must have more than the masses because of their exalted status.

Our system is far from perfect. But you can make it if you’re willing to work for it.

        • Gary2

Michael-simply look at your past articles and you see a huge right wing bias. This latest article is simply more of the same.

When will you have a talk show on hate AM radio?

        • I see NOTHING WRONG with instilling a little – or a LOT – of social responsibility into our democracy. What is the point of a civilized society if it’s “every man for himself”, after all? We’ve seen how successful that’s been in the last 20 years.

People using the ridiculous old kneejerk Commie and Socialist tags, sort of like saying Zombie and ChildKiller are going to be left out in the cold, so to speak — the younger generation did not live through the Cold War, and the labels don’t have the same resonance that they did with “us”.

          • Guido

Perhaps the younger generation could read about, watch films, or just speak to the folks who survived the Communist regimes, past and present, for an idea of what they’re demanding.

My wife is from Eastern Europe and grew up with Soviet oppression and martial law and food lines. Her grandfather was nearly executed in Stalin’s de-Kulakization of the Ukraine. They lost everything in that wave of terror. That was when Stalin was kind enough to begin raping the countryside, starving to death MILLIONS of Ukrainian peasants. In fact, starting from the Revolution, farmers were targeted as enemies of the people and EVERY SINGLE GRAIN was taken from them to feed the cities.

I’ve met an Albanian former anti-communist fighter who was proud to have killed every Communist he could in the lost fight to save Albania.

I’ve also known Russians and Ukrainians who lived through the good ol’ days. One was sentenced to the gulag just for fighting his way into Germany in WWII. Another had a wonderful mouth of stainless steel teeth, thanks to the excellent healthcare of the Soviet Union.

Social Responsibility? Instilling Social Responsibility? What is that and how will you force it on us? That’s how you’ll instill it, right? Force? In the past, I think what you would have meant was called Charity and it was given freely because we had a society that embraced Christianity and its principles of giving to the less fortunate. Now, since we can’t have religion in public and Christianity is evil, the morality instilled by that faith is absent and, thus, so is charity.

        • Guido

Which tens of millions of people would you say it helped? Ever heard of the term DEMOCIDE?

This is the term for when government kills its own citizens. For some strange reason, the biggest culprits in the history of DEMOCIDE are the Utopian Socialist Workers Paradises, such as Russia, China, North Korea, and others. It’s funny how when you want to create a Utopia, you can’t do it without killing a bunch of people.

      • Nexus789

No you have not….the article is blatantly biased and laced with ignorant American ‘socialist’ and ‘commie’ references – as if many Americans actually understood these terms. There are just as many ‘nutters’ on the religious fundamentalist right.

I enjoyed some of your articles and I feel sorry for the implosion of the US economy. This is a serious problem that will impact the vast majority of not just the US population if the banks but the whole world if the financial system collapses.

  • Colin

The Free Enterprise system is what destroyed our economy. It replaced the American Way in the early 1980’s. By stating your support for this system, and by denouncing those who seek reform, you are placing yourself in a vulnerable position where you can be accused of hypocrisy.

    • ScoutMotto

      Colin, I disagree.

We have not had a truly free enterprise system since 1913 when the Federal Reserve took over issuing our money, and later in 1933 monopolized our credit. This central bank has been responsible for every boom and bust we’ve had by at times throwing money at us and at other times sucking all of it up in a vaccuum. They use our federal income tax in the form of interest payments to enrich themselves. You want the system fixed? Get rid of the central bank, and its collection agency the IRS. Put the money creation power back in the hands of the people, and the Congress. The central bank is a failure. Bernanke even admitted to the Fed CAUSING the Great Depression.

      • Colin

The Republicans like to refer to their form of capitalism as free enterprise. This is as opposed to big government. If we are being technical, their economic system is called the Chicago School

    • Ben Dover

USA has not had a free enterprise system for a long time. In a free enterprise system, the likes of Gm, B of A, et al would have been allowed to fold. If a demand for their products exists, someone will make them.

    • mondobeyondo

There will never be a free enterprise system in this country as long as the Federal Reserve is in power.

  • matt

“isms” aren’t the problem, money is the problem. Forget all of this side show banking BS, work towards a global resource based economy.

Get over the idea of “your country” and realize the whole world belongs to all of us, if we all abuse it we all die if we all make it work we all survive. Too simple to ignore.

    • Guido

No, it doesn’t. There are vast differences between nations and people. If the world belongs to all of us, exactly how do you reconcile that ideal with the concept of owning property? What about industry? Business? Children?
If the world belongs to everyone, then nothing can really belong to anyone. No one has a right to own, develop, or enjoy their own property. No factory can be built, no houses purchased, and no wealth accumulated. Your idea is to simple to be realistic.

  • HeartofShadows

    lol free enterprise..
At this point what can be worse in this plutocracy that we live in already.

  • Spencer

Wow, I’m disappointed in this article. How could you lump people who are frustrated with Wall Street and sick of greed destroying this country and the lives of good people be considered communist? Next are you going to say there’s solid evidence that social security is socialist? I really liked coming to this website, but frankly im turned off by this and kind of reeks of the Fox news mentality I like to stay away from..

    • Maybe he is going more middle of the road now that he is published at Infowars, etc…that is the usual path…..too, too much “America is the City on the Hill” thinking…….

    • KnightOwl

Wow, you are turned off by people that don’t agree with your preconceived ideas? I hope you never bump into reality…

No one said that everyone there was a marxist or socialist, just that they may be pulling the strings. I do not like the huge wealth disparity that has grown up, but your anger should be directed elsewhere. The morons we elected in DC are the ones (on both sides)who allowed this to happen because it benefited them at our expense…
You should be joining with the Tea Party and demanding LESS government and a return to the Constitutional limitations on Gov’t power`. The Federal Government has not only allowed this but encouraged it.

    • Gary2

Michael-as you can see most people are agreeing that you have a huge fox news right wing bias. This is not the opinion of one person but many. We can’t all be wrong.

I urge you to think about this. You can do better.

  • expatriot

Rupert Murdoch’s house was picketed by occupy wall street. I guess it hit a nerve with him so he used some flacky from his washed up neo-con rag newspaper to completely make ********* up and lie. That’s nothing new in murlochs world. Show us some pictures of all these che fans. Show us proof of all the marxists. That’s fantasy land thinking for the right. The fact of the matter is all the occupies throughout america is made up of all sorts of every day normal people.

    • Highspeedloafer

” The fact of the matter is all the occupies throughout america is made up of all sorts of every day normal people.”

All I can say is that you must be from a different America that the one I know. I’ve watched dozens of you tube videos and haven’t seen an average American in the bunch, just a bunch of lazy, dope smoking, vile looking wanna be hippies. Occupies make me want to take a bath every time I see them.

    • Nexus789

      I agree….good words.

    • Aurelius 7

You’re easily fooled by thinking this is spontaneous and democratic, yet fail to do your homework on who’s bankrolling the entire movement.

This is why, as your very own nickname says, an “ex-patriot”. You are no longer on the side of America and it shows.

    • Guido

Go to the previous article and look at Gary2’s pictures-you’ll see Che…

  • mark mcbee

I think the Occupy Wall Street protesters are just uninformed. I just don’t believe they are communists.

  • Matt

In the 15-m in spain its socialists, anarchists, independent,a sprinkling of conservatives and just people from all walks of life. at the assemblies you are free to put your oppion on a bulletin board or idea to change things. this is real grass roots populism.
if some one from the major two political parties they kick them out………they seem to know about the two party dictatorship.

  • Ben Dover

Interesting how none of the OWS crowd wants to protest at the white house or Capital, even though obummer and his crowd are in bed with and enabling Wall street. These idiots actually think obummer gives a rat’s a** about them. Do they think obummer will intervene when the NYPD thugs start bashing in their skulls?

    • Guido

Precisely, Sir. The guy in charge is apparently not responsible for anything. How is that possible? Talk about a contrived movement.

  • Ben Dover

From each according to his ability, To each according to his need. The mantra of the slacker.

The idiot from Greensboro cries about not being able to find a job after she blew a fortune on a degree that is useless outside her beloved socialist universities while a high school graduate friend of mine (over 50) found a job as a truck driver the first week hed looked. His CDL looks like a better investment.

I need the free healthcare they all long for because my back is broken from carrying them.

  • Occupier

We’re in this for the long haul. Don’t even worry about conservative people like Cain, they will not make it into power again, as Bush was the last. There are no “solutions” that can be presented quickly to make our Occupy movement go away. And so there will be moments where our presence is no longer an uncomfortable and unknown variable, but rather is normalized and integrated.

It’s in those moments that we have to push the envelop on Peristroika, pry open the space of possibility even farther. We go as far as we can to destabalize, but maintain momentum. And when that’s the new “normal” then we go farther. That’s how this change happens, how we shift the terrain and the terms of the game.

  • Concerned

Michael first thing I want to say is thank you soo
much for the education you have givin me for FREE
I think you have done a very important litmus test with this article by showing how many people
that think they know what is going on really do
not and are being used by the people they rally against and can not see who is taking over there
fight. I hope you will not let these lost souls
keep you from doing what you do best and that is
to inform your readers of the truth no matter
how much it hurts. I will pray for you and your family to be strong and safe. God Bless You!

    • Michael

      Thank you for your prayers.

I also think that many people that are involved in these protests have good intentions, and they could easily get swept up into something which is not good.

  • So Occupy Wallstreet really has a red core, I never would have guessed… . Heard in swedish media that the occupy-wallstreet is a left-wing movement, seems like they were right. Thanks Michael for letting me know, keep up the good work. I´m a 99% and I will never submit to communism, i´m not a friend to dirty bankers either!

  • Gauran

There is no free interprise system in America, or the western social world for that matter, that all went down the drain in 1913, when the Banksters established the US Corporation which is a British controlled system. What they call a free interprise system is nothing but smoke and buz words and **************.

  • Occupier

We’re in this for the long haul. Don’t even worry about conservative people like this, they will not make it into power again, as Bush was the last. There are no “solutions” that can be presented quickly to make our Occupy movement go away. The momentum is strong and our man in the White House tacitly approves of the movement as well. And so there will be moments where our presence is no longer an uncomfortable and unknown variable, but rather is normalized and integrated. People who post here, such as Gary, or our brothers in the SEIU and CPUSA will help make this happen.

It’s in those moments that we have to push the envelop on Peristroika in the USA and pry open the space of possibility even farther. We go as far as we can to destabalize, but maintain momentum. And when that’s the new “normal” then we go farther. That’s how this change happens, how we shift the terrain and the terms of the game.

    Peristroika is coming, comrades.

    Да мы можем!

  • Couple of things.
    1. America has NEVER had a free enterprise system, maybe partial, but not fully. We have always had fights with big banks, then railroads, etc. Just read up on Jackson vs Banks, etc. or that Lincoln was in pocket of railroads and even when things were tight in budget, still had railroad building, in areas not connected to the War at all
    2. America was never “great”. It never, ever had Christ as head. It was founded in its leadership, by Freemasons, deists, etc….no David Barton, we were not then, nor now, nor ever a “Christian nation”…maybe majority were Christians, true enough and some colonies were officially still, but the USA was not. Hence, God gave us a period of time to be one, now in light of our failures, we are under judgement……
Your article is too much false left/Right, remember who bankrolled Marxism…..not these dumb dupes at the rallies….

  • Ken w

    Great aticle:
Communists, socialists and unions are at the heart of OWS. They are the same groups that have been protesting in Greece and all over Europe. It’s funny how OWS supporters all blame capitalism for all our problems, but don’t say anything about Europe imploding because of bloated socialized governments. This is well organized and funded by George Soros. I saw a Stephen Lerner (SEIU) video in February stating that they would do this.
The problem is crony capitalism (GE). In pure capitalism the banks and GM would have failed and resources would have reallocated by the markets. Now moral hazard has all these entities taking huge risks because they know they’re backstopped.
Chavez, Catro, Stalin, Mao, Che, Kim Jong Il all Brutal mass murderers. THERE IS NO SOCIALISTS OR COMMUNIST EUTOPIA

  • Tim

Now come on now Michael, we all know that the Kleptocracy has failed. Socialism for the Rich is what just happend. It has devasted the world economy and now the 99.9% are realizing that they have been getting screwed for decades. And thre is a vast difference between Socialism and Communism. Anyway, any time someone starts to argue against socialism, I again remind them that you can’t argue against Einstein, you just can’t………

  • Nick Nailer

America deserve marxism. Mericans are a bunch of dumb animals that vote to enslave themselves. They also go off to war to steal from foreigners. They get shot to make the rich richer. Stupid twits. Slaves are born as slaves and die as slaves. Nuff said.

    • mondobeyondo

Um, calm down. Have some Prozac.
And besides, Booker T. Washington may have been born a slave, but he certainly didn’t die as one.

  • Gary2

I attended the occupy Milwaukee rally last Sat and at least 20% were Ron Paul supporters and I kept hearing the end the fed being chanted. (almost ad neasuem)

So unless the Ron Paul supporters are communists I have to disagree with your assessment of the OWS being communist.

The Ron Paul supporters were welcomed with open arms as really we are all fighting for the same thing namely a level playing field and an end to crony capitalism. No more socialism for the rich and mega corporations.

  • Gary2

Michael-I think you need to redo this article as you are so wrong on most of what you said. You can admit you were wrong, this is the first step in recovery.

  • Gary2

I totally agree with the first, second, fourth, sixth and seventh.

There was plenty of money to bail out wall street that helped a tiny minority of the people who incidentally caused the crash in the first place. In 1 long weekend there was no trouble coming up with the bail out cash for the rich. Now when the poor/middle want help it is class war, and called all sorts of ism’s. WTF!!!

  • Gary2

Basically, what the protesters are demanding is a much larger federal government that takes from the wealthy and that gives lots of stuff to them for free.

is not this what the rich wanted and got-a government who takes from the poor and redistributes wealth upwards?

    • Kevin

In regards to the wealth re-distribution the protestors are asking for it is what the power elite want. You can take from Bill Gates for all they care. The establishment that calls the shots are not touched. If “The rebellion” can be quelled by taking money from some “moderately successful” person with a hundred million so be it just keep them off of the power elite.

  • mondobeyondo

Oh, great. Just what this country needs. Screaming matches between the Occupy movement (allegedly supported by Marxists), and the Tea Party movement (allegedly supported by the far right). Ewww. I’m going to stick with being a moderate.

Yes, there are a few left-wing commie type loons infiltrated in the Occupy movement. But by and large, it is a group of people frustrated with what “capitalism” has morphed into, and who just want a return to what this country used to be. Where people can work hard, earn a decent living wage, raise a family, own a house, and not have to worry about banks and governments (modern day kings) enslaving the masses (modern day serfs).

Work hard? Check. Many of us work very hard. Those of us who actually still have JOBS!!
    Decent living wage? Ha!
    Raise a family? Check.
Own a house? Getting harder to do. Good luck. Hope you don’t get a foreclosure notice…
Banks and governments? “Occupy Wall Street!”…

When big banks and corporations take over your country, that is not capitalism, or communism, or free enterprise, or fascism. That is a plutocracy.

    • mondobeyondo

The great prophet Thomas Jefferson predicted this would happen. He was right. Banking institutions are indeed more dangerous than standing armies, and we are waking up broke and homeless on the continent our forefathers conquered.

  • Robert

How drab the world would be if there was only black and white and all the greys in between them were eliminated, then if you could eliminate either black or white then would the world would be a better place? Or if there was only sweet and sour and one could exclude all those wonderful tastes with mixing to two, then if you could eliminate one of them, would the world be a better place? One also has hot or cold, positive or negative and yin or yang and etc, the law of opposites.
Reading this article I get the impression that the author would like to do away with one of the opposites and also the variables between them.
Now one has Capitalism and Communism, two opposites. One side got its ideas from our founding fathers of the US Constitution and the other side received there ideas from Das Kapital by Karl Marx and both Capitalism and Communism changed into something worst capitalism became crony capitalism and fascism and communism became a dictatorship that murdered 20 million of its people, but taken in there true form both are excellent documents with many positive points to them.
While Capitalist and Communist are pointing fingers at each other, the Rothschild family is cleaning up on both sides.
The Bolshevist revolution was funded entirely by the Rothschilds and they were repaid in kind with the first law that was decreed was a hate crime law that stated that anti-Semitism was punishable by death and the Rothschilds also became owners of a Central Bank in the USSR and also at the time of post world II and the cold war the eastern block countries at that time received forced upon ccentral banks owned by the Rothschilds.
The USA was in the same situation it seems when the US Constitution was written the Rothschilds already had their agents in place i.e. Alexander Hamilton to name one. It was then that the 1st US Bank came into existence, then we had the 2nd US Bank which President Henry Jackson defeated and the USA was free of Rochschild controlled Central Banks until the Federal Reserve came into being. After World War II although Germany had a Central Bank since 1875, the USA imposed upon Germany the Bundesbank which was created after world war II and became the central bank controlled by the Rothschilds the same happen in Japan. In South Korea their USA imposed Rothschild owed Central Bank was found on June 12, 1951 and the Korean War started on June 25, 1951, what a coincidence!
The 1964 Brazilian Revolution which start on March 31 with US Navel ships along Brazil’s coast founded in December of that year its Rothschild owed Central Bank.
The 1973 CIA sponsored Chilean Coop didn’t spawn a Central Bank because Chile already had a state central bank, the laws were just changed to make it private and guess who bought it up.
Afghanistan and Iraq didn’t have central banks central banks controlled by the Rothschilds and Libya ha a state central bank until NATO supported troops invaded

The atomic bomb drills at your grade school are over now, you can come out from under your desk now and the Communists are not bogeymen that will eat you.
The Soviets were also duped by Rothdschid’s agents to do their bidding as we were/are.
Once you can get over your Rothschild induced childhood fear of Communism and accept the yin and yang theory, through divide and conqueror our enemies, the enemies of the nation/state will win.

  • J. C. Vaughan

One huge thing: 30 years ago, Iran thought the answer to the excesses of the Shah and SAVAK secret police was a totalitarian Islamist state. What they got was a 30-year-plus government of child-raping, child-torturing, child-murdering thugs, as bad or worse than SAVAK or Hitler’s gestapo. Check “Makwan Moloudzadeh” or “Mahmoud Asgari and Azaz Marhoni” on the internet. Communism/socialism has resulted in just as bad and will again. If you really want that, you should just get card-carrying Devil Worshipers to take over the country. At least you would know right from the start what you are signing up for (damned fools).

  • Guido

Wow, Michael! I couldn’t get past the CIA operative working at the NYPD. While I support America’s silent warriors in the intel community-I thought the CIA was supposed to be operating outside the borders, while the FBI was responsible for domestic operations. Perhaps there’s a foreign nexus? NYC is a massive cosmopolitan area, after all, with people from all over the world + the UN. Still, it isn’t something I’m used to hearing.

  • Monk

Actually, it’s a global phenomenon, not just involving Wall Street, and probably began in Madrid last May.

  • Watch the Peter Joseph speech at Occupy LA (it’s on YouTube). Your ignorance about the true nature of ‘isms’ is all too common.

  • Hefsmaster

Too recognize that no system is perfect is the first step. If you have to choose, who or what do you pick? Those who fail you relentlessly, or choose to fail on your own accord. Pride and a brain should make this obvious…

  • patrick

Class warfare is the begining of communism. Read your history. If the ows people are against it they should state that clearly. I am a democrat and I voted for Obama but I do not agree with the protesters. Do NOT lump democrats with the ows movement PLEASE !!!!!! I am for a free America.

  • Edward

Elitist Bloody Lies! Trying to *********** the people Yet again! The People occupy Wall St. because the rotton Rothschild system is completely corrupt! Banks are a Criminal Cabal.

Communism was a creation of the elitist Psychopath Rothschilds! Though it was called communism, it was really corporatism! Another one of the Rothschild systems, designed to destroy humanity! So Don’t believe the lies! This system needs to be brought down anyway, and the elite are just trying to save their evil vile skins! Crash and Burn Rothschild!

  • Harrison

This writer is living in the past…the same “past” that eventually led to our awful “present.” Quit being so short-sighted people. This collapse has been long in the making.

Per the writer: “Our nation once had an economy that was the envy of the entire globe. Our free enterprise system was at the heart of that economic boom.”

This is all because there was room for growth and development. There were jobs to be done and thus people required to do them. Capitalism’s success is based upon infinite growth (impossible). Capitalism is a theory hoping for prosperity for all by turning each citizen against one another in competition. That doesn’t sound healthy and sustainable to me. Instead of embodying our true innocent and selfless human nature to shape a system, we are allowing this capitalist, competitive system to shape …who we are…now individualistic, egotistical, selfish, stingy assholes who are in constant competition with one another. There is a reason that honey bees and ants are the most efficient organisms on the planet…there is no laziness nor stinginess when every individual truly realizes there is no such thing as “separate”…when each individual’s success is tied to that of the entire society.

We will never figure out what this game of life is really all about when we’re too busy being slaves of the “free” market system – always caught up in this game of trying to gain an edge on our neighbors, which naturally leads to cheating and corruption. Progress will forever be impeded because there is always a force competing against that progress. Not only that, but that competitor is also an opportunity cost of the system since all their resources could be used to promote a common cause instead of competing against an existing one. We’re in store for a lovely ride in human evolution these next couple years.

In summary: Competitions naturally result in winners and losers. As our competition (capitalism) has drug on over the decades, winners continue to win (because they accumulate more resources that give them an advantage) and losers continue to lose. Over time, as the laws of forces reveal themselves, all resources (money) gravitate towards a minute sector of society that have been fortunate enough to be on the winning side of this competition. It takes money to make money, and those making money are taking money…from the 99%. An unbalanced scale tips slowly at first, gaining speed, acceleration, and force over time. You can take money from the rich and give it to the poor, but over time, that money will eventually gravitate towards that minute sector once again and we will again be faced with the problem we have now. Or you can do one even dumber, and print money out of thin air (bailouts) and give them straight to that minute sector of society who is already winning…even further devaluing the little wealth the 99% is clinging onto.

Captialism is a dark, decaying giant breathing its last breaths.

    • patrick

So communism is the answer ?

  • cam

The #OWS want to turn this country into Canada. The Tea Party wants to turn it into Pakistan.

Seems like an easy choice to me.

    • Guido

Seems like an ignorant choice to me. How does demanding Fiscal Responsibility from the government equal Pakistan? That’s deeply flawed logic AT BEST.

  • Evan

    Yeah…so what’ your point?

We don’t need to be locked into some Stalinist nightmare. We’re AMERICANS. We can decide how to govern ourselves. And when, in the course of human events,it becomes necessary to free ourselves from a system that oppress us we can, using our creativity, ingenuity and determination forge a new and better system. Capitalism simply doesn’t work. Marx was right in this respect: it’s naturally tendency is towards monopoly and the concentration of power (economic and political) in the hands of a few elite at the expense of the freedom (economic and political) of the many.

These are the times that try men’s souls, to be sure. But I have faith that WE, the people can forge a more perfect union.

    United We Stand.

    • Evan

‎”Those who are protesting the rise of the corporate state are in fact, on the spectrum, the true conservatives, because they are calling for the restoration of the rule of law. The radicals have seized power and they have trashed all regulations and legal impediments to a reconfiguration of American society into a form of neo-feudalism.” ~ Chris Hedges

  • Guido

I got this link from a friend. This is a 25 year old interview with a KGB defector who explains the Communist plans to destabilize America and how the Useful Idiots fit into their plan.

“Bezmonov stated that he was also instructed not to waste time with idealistic Leftists, as these would become disillusioned, bitter, and adversarial when they realized the true nature of Soviet Communism. To his surprise, he discovered that many such were listed for execution once the Soviets achieved control.

Instead, Bezmonov was encouraged to recruit such persons as were in large circulation, established conservative media, rich filmmakers, intellectuals in academic circles, and cynical, ego-centric people who lacked moral principles.”

Other defectors, such as Victor Sheymov in Tower of Secrets, have explained how the GRU and KGB controlled the American Left. In one case, for example, the USSR mobilized its protesters to halt development of the Neutron Bomb. In another, they mobilized the Left to stop the US from beaming VOA to Soviet TVs, believing video programming showing the Russians what the West was like would have destabilized their system.

    • Michael

      Good comment Guido.

  • State Socialists advocate the nationalisation of the means of production, distribution and exchange.

Social Democrats advocate public control of capital within the framework of a market economy.

Libertarian Socialists and Anarchists reject using the state to build Socialism. They promote direct worker ownership of the means of production alternatively through independent syndicates, workplace democracies, or worker cooperatives.

Anyone using the term Socialism needs to further define what they are talking about.

    • Michael

Fair enough. There are a wide variety of “socialists” out there. It can be tough to make generalizations about all of them.

      • Evan

        That’s what i’m saying. Amen.

  • Matt

    capitalism=socialism for the rich
everyone else try to get by.

Whose side are you on Micheal? These people are standing up for justice! These people are fighting for the same cause that you blog about everyday, in each article. Are you listening to too much hate radio? Blessed are the Poor! These protesters are non-violent. They are standing up for righteousness. They are standing up for the widows and the orphans, the old, the sick, the people who are in jail for BS reasons. They are seeking justice. As Christians we are called to fight against darkness and evil. God says He who is not with me is against me, He who does not gather with me, scatters Luke 11:23 What are we supposed to do? Are we supposed to gather supplies and guns and gold and food and wait around for ****** to really hit the fan?

    • Michael

Go out to Zuccotti park and start open air preaching the gospel and see what happens.

    • Guido

WHOSE JUSTICE??? Because what you’re calling justice looks to me more like injustice, but that’s OK because the target is a minority.

People with money are no less deserving of equal treatment before the law than anyone else, yet people are claiming they should be treated to a different standard than everyone else. (By the same token, I believe the Moneyed Class should be treated the same as the poorest.)

It takes a very flexible mind to say big business has unfairly profited, therefore the government has the right to seize wealthy people’s money so they can pay for all our needs and desires.

I think it takes a fairly flexible mind to claim the wealthy aren’t paying their fair share when the top 20% of tax payers pay 97% of the nation’s taxes and, what, 50% of households are paying nothing. I wonder how much of the tax burden the Handout Party protesters are paying?

In fact, how many forms of social support, assistance, and giveaways do we already provide these days? Are those part of the injustice, too? Seems sort of ungrateful on their part when you consider its unconstitutional for the feds to do ANY of it.

There is nothing to actually prove these protesters are fighting for justice and not Communism. BTW-did anyone see the Democrat pollster, Doug Schoen, 31% of the protesters support using violence to get what they want??? Is THAT your justice, too? Murder for Justice?

I don’t know if God’s word really fits here, especially that quote, since it sounds suspiciously close to Bush’s “If you’re not with us, you’re against us” doctrine. That idea was loudly and widely booed back when he said it-has it been rehabilitated or did you forget?

    My sheep hear my voice,

Many of the people at OWS are homeless, jobless and basically on their last dime. OWS and many others around America are becoming “refugee camps” for the many who see no hope for the future. This movement gives hope and a sense of belonging to an ever growing segment of this country. Call the movement what you want, but if nothing else, it is a humanitarian effort to help those slipping through the cracks of our once great nation.

  • Ohgazzoo

Find it funny how someone is labeling something that all of us have been welcomed down to participate, Vote, and speak your mind. I will be in attendance from time to time to give my input on my grievances. does that make me Communist? Giving false reports and trying to sway the public through corporate media for nothing other than the corporations interest is closer to it if not a form of treason. Communists don’t have the right to exercising their first amendment rights. Only Americans do.

80 years ago we called them Hoovervilles. Why aren’t we calling them Obamavilles???

    • Cause Obama/Soetoro is just a puppet of the banksters

  • Sarah

I like your blogs very much! In fact we have used them at the occupy Baltimore protests! I dont agree with you at all in this one however! I have not been to the new York rallies but at least in bmore…
We have some socialists and some anarchists and some homeless and we have some people who r deeply religious. We r a very diverse group.

    • Michael

I am honored that the blogs are being used at the Baltimore protests. I do recognize that there is a lot of diversity at these protests, but I also believe that there is a very strong socialist element that is highly involved.

  • Straight UP G

I’m a Staight Up G and i hate all these comies

  • Monk

Wall Street and corporatism are actually the result of a free enterprise system. You start with the latter, from which some become stronger than others and eventually form corporations. Then, they move from manufacturing and agriculture to finance to make more money. Citizens support them by voting for government that deregulates corporations and offers tax cuts to citizens and corporations. Corporations, in turn, provide easy credit to citizens and fund a military that props up the petrodollar and which allows citizens to buy cheap goods from abroad.

  • TPaineRedux

I suggest you go pay a visit to some occupy groups. I liked your post ‘corporatism is not capitalism’ a lot but this is very close to 50’s red baiting.

No doubt some socialist and communists are involved but they will not be able to steer the great mass of Americans who are showing up.

Become part of the dialogue, the direction of Occupy will develop out of who gets involved.

  • Jim Jensen

Howard Stern takes to the streets to interview some of the OWS great unwashed. This is hilarious and perhaps a little raw. These people are pawns of the socialist agenda and are completely clueless.

  • juliathemechanic

What monumental morons. Socialism is possible only in co-existance with capitalism. It is the backbone of the socialist system. Only communism purports to be both a political and monetary system – only communism doesn’t actually exist in the real world. China, the Soviet Union, Vietnam, Cuba and virtually all middle eastern dictatorships – all run as socialist societies with capitalistic inner parties. They say that Satan’s greatest trick was convincing the world that he didn’t exist – communism’s greatest trick is pretending that it does exist. Unfortunately, all these historical illiterates are screaming for is a totalitarian state in which we will be screwed all the more.

    • Rodrigo

My friend communism is socialism. When karl mark and eagles wrote the manifesto they also developed a process of the radical evolution to communsim from capitalism. Socialism is a face of the evolution. Socialism is communism applied to states and not global. Communism is the global structure where all states are socialists. Which never existed. When you talk about capitalism in socialism you are talking about variations, lennianism, keynesianism, liberatarian socialism and evolutionist socialism. In the end they all are socialism with private market to keep internal and external economic flow and avoid massive inflation. And to make bonds eventually.

Yeah, but in the end you are wrong when sepapration socialism from communism, and all americans are wrong calling democrats lefties, they are from the right capitalist right, closer to the middle but fall on the right. So you are right communism doesnt exist yet but it will eventually, especially after the ******** of free market in the west.

On the road to socialism solidarism and equality, destination is communism

  • Jim Jensen

I had not listened to Howard Sterns Part 2 in its entirety. If I had I would not have shared it on this site. It’s more vile than I had thought. I apologize.

  • occupy wall street

Prince Antichrist obama : stop iron fist against protesters\ NO Capitalism\ NO Communist\ Just Free economy And Equation!!

  • Ed

OWS claims it is a leaderless movement, yet many who has followed Kalle Lasn’s website and his followers knew about the campaigns weeks ahead (trying to transfer money out of our banking system, Nov 17th shutdown of the markets, and of course OWS movement itself). An admitted anti-consumerist socialist group who has vowed to take down corporate America and yet nobody bothered to research the movement before joining.

They’ve denounced the United States for “assassinating” Osama bin Laden and have openly condemned United States influence over the world.

I have to credit them though. They’ve tapped into dissent in this country, packaged their real intent with ideas that Americans want (basically free everything) and Americans are swallowing it. I forgot to add that, these people aren’t even Americans.

I live in the most liberal city in America, NYC and even I bothered to research. I’m surprised much of America hasn’t caught on.

  • Jacob

who wrote this i need to cite them for my AP LA paper because they are right

    • Michael

      I wrote this article. :)

  • flushtheparasites

true communism has never existed in the modern times, as much as true capitalism has never existed, as much as true christianity has never existed. so let’s see if the rightwing dummies can handle that.

  • Jacob

To everyone who wants to live in communism move to Cuba. Also If communism is so good why did people in Berlin sacrifice their own life just to escape and come to the other side that was a a captilistic society? So please tell me how you will enjoy life where you only have the neccesieties no Internet, Fun or even chocolate or coke except on Chirstmas times like they did in East Europe.

Oh and Thanks Michael I accredited my quotes I took from this to put in My AP LA paper to you.

And yes I am a Highschooler

  • Reinhold

I don’t think OWS has been “outed” here; a good lot of the chief organizers identify themselves openly as communists/anarchists/socialists; many also say openly that, yes, they would like somehow to bring down the “free enterprise system” (a language-rule misnomer for “capitalism”), or at least prepare to organize themselves once it brings itself down. I am happy that the right-wing fascists are afraid, though, of “communist overthrows” and other kinds of stupid conspiracies. It keeps them from thinking too hard about how self-undermining and slavish their own beliefs are, I guess.

  • Reinhold

Also, it is really stupid to equate OWS with Obama and even with redistributionist policies. They are nice, but they can’t solve all our problems, and a good lot of the anarchists in OWS oppose gov’ts, so they don’t see “government handouts” as the answer. Also, I am routinely amused by how much right-wing people fetishize hard work, considering that the hardest working people in the world make the least money; also, most people who receive “handouts” do have jobs, just check the statistics. Sorry, I forgot about the right-wing: nearly illiterate.

  • Reasons we need to take America back

  • Smith789

you all are so wrong. it is not a communist movement. it is freedom of speach that is in work. As I recall, very similar things were said about the Tea PArty movement.

  • Paul

jessica herman grab is a freakin retard in the fb comments above this section. The stupidity of some very non-educated people as herself simply lack the ability to argue important issues. “Thank our parents for this mess. They lived too high on the horse.”……YOU ARE A RETARD. Do you need some brain growth pills? Because I think you’re missing your frontal lobe you moron!

  • Nancy

Socialism is exactly what the New World Order banking elites want.
And that’s why they have their stooges out at OWS clamoring for it.
They certainly don’t want you to protest the wars or the Federal Reserve or the bail out to banks!
The government/corporations will own everything, we work as hard as they tell us too, and pay taxes as much as they tell us too to make sure nobody else but them can get ahead.
The elite, especially Bill Gates are eugenists, and have no problem wanting to rid the planet of 80% of the population. The CO2 you expel may be the reason they get to eliminate you.
The bankers sit and get rich financing our wars, while our soldiers die in vain. They sit and get rich printing and loaning gov. money, which gets bailed back to them, as we pay them back in taxes again!!!
We need to eliminate the banker controlled Federal Reserve. Get behind Ron Paul if you want to save this country! Our Founding fathers never intended to have a banker owned money machine.

  • Mark

I stand on the right side of things. I’m a business owner. I have a high school education and a semester of college. I found that college wasn’t for me so I quit and decided to start a business. I started with nothing and failed 5 times in pursuit of my American dream. I didn’t come from wealth or privilege but I had great parents who loved and supported me (morally, not financially) in my endeavors. I’ve lost everything in the past, been hungry and nearly homeless but despite it all I never once wished that the government would save me. I just kept going, looking for that opportunity that I could latch onto. I now have a healthy, growing car dealership and the future looks bright. I wouldn’t trade the hard times for anything, they made me who I am and helped me learn to overcome rather than surrender. To throw your hands up and trade your freedoms in for government security is surrendering. Our nation was built by boat loads of immigrants who left oppression, communism, and socialism for the mere chance of a better life. They came with nothing but the clothes on their backs knowing no one. They came to build better lives for themselves, their children and future generations of their families. They expected nothing from the government and the government offered little. They arrived on our shores with nothing but hope, and they went to work. They came for life, liberty and the right to pursue happiness, they didn’t come for the health care. We fail to honor all that they built and all that they fought for when our citizens lazily sit in parks, dirty from head to toe, demanding their “fair share”. Why not demand the expansion of the 1% rather than the reduction of it? What would our nation be like if it moved from 1% to 5? How many more industries, factories and jobs would it create? How much bigger would the middle class have to become in order for that to happen? It’s not an exclusive club, it’s open for anyone willing to fight their way in. Most millionaires are self made and they worked hard. They risked all (and sometimes failed) in order to live life in a different way. I applaud their accomplishments and the jobs and careers they created along the way yet prosperity is now demonized and looked down upon. Our youth need to wake up fast, I fear that they may actually get what they are wishing for and they will be shocked at what the reality of it is. Be careful what you wish for, because it might actually become true.

  • Rodrigo

Why is it that amercians view socialism as evil whencapitalism is the true evil.

    • B.G.

If capitalism is evil and socialism/communism is good…
How come in the days of communism in Europe, thousands of people from communist countries defected to capitalist ones, but NOBODY did the opposite? Just asking…
As Mark said above, be careful what you wish for, because you might get it. (And if your wish is for communism, I guarantee you won’t like it.)

  • I’ve been reading ALOT of your articles tonight and I must say, I am impressed with them.

  • Brennan

You’re a moron. You think communism is about big government? Communism is about common ownership, everyone owns everything and we share everything, we share the fruits and toils of our land, there is no state or country. Socialism is an intermediate between communism and capitalism and is used completely in the wrong context here.

The whole “government taking control of everything” is called nationalization, please for the love of god shut your mouth and actually read a book rather than listening to Fox News.

    • Mike

No state or country? No military? No Government enforcing the rules that noone has too much of anything? Seems like you are living in a dream world.

  • Terry Honey

communism or socialism is exactly what America needs. I have long thought that.

  • Morky

Watch the documentary ‘Occupy Unmasked’ by Andrew Breitbart. It exposes the underlying socialist and communist movement within the occupy wall street protest, and how it was entirely manufactured as an attempt to destroy the US government, not reform it. Drugs, rape, destruction of innocent citizens businesses by rich kids, assassination plots, attempted bridge bombings – all tactics of the far Left to get their point access – all tactics Che would use. Its no wonder the government is spying more than ever with extremist groups collaborating to destroy the country.
