Matthew 19:26 But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

My prayers go out to the people who have nothing to do but go with the direction of the demise of the American way.

The people are innocent; most every one of them . . . I hope that more will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ in days ahead.

Nob, the Tea Party Movement has a zillion local sections, spontaneous, eclectic, and truly grassroots. Generally--with some variations from group-to-group--we stand for smaller government, that lives within its means, according to the Constitution. Some groups add "free markets."

All these are different ways of describing the same thing--freedom. That's the secret of America's success, freedom, but a thing which is always compromised the bigger government gets. Why, the very word "govern" means to restrain, to control, to restrict. And consider: all government comes at expense of the governed, who must support it. The bigger it gets, perforce the harder becomes to support it; the more it does, the more expensive and intrusive it must be.

That's not to rail against all government. Government is certainly necessary and needed, but two hundred billion tons of a good thing is not necessarily a good thing.

That's it. Like the original Tea Party, we stand for liberty, we stand against heavy-handed intrusions, and against a leviathan that dictates the people's every task. We are the American Revolution, the same one of our founding, alive and well today.

W.C.
The financial reform bill is hardly "harmless". It gives unprecedented power to the Federal Reserve to take over banks, change the management and pay structure or shut them down if they arbitrarily threaten the financial system. All this power given to the people who are responsible for this economic crisis in the first place - The Federal Reserve. A private bank with entangling political connections that has the power to set the most sacred of prices - the price of money or the interest rate. Also this bill exempts the SEC from the Freedom of Information Act among other atrocities.

nob- your attack of the Tea Party is a sign you are scared. The old days where you could get away with slowly eroding our liberties through your social programs is going to end. Enjoy your Social Security while you can sucker.

Dogmeat,

I'm quite happy with Scott Brown.

He voted for the fake financial reform bill, which is fine. While there's no financial reform in it, it's generally harmless. So Scotty gets to look like a bipartisan compromiser to his leftist Massachusetts electorate by voting for a meaningless bill.

As for "helping the President," go ask your friends and neighbors, "Hey, what do think about that awesome financial reform? What a win, huh?" As if a complete farce of a bill written by the corrupt Dodd and Frank is going to swing any moderates or turn out any base.

Go Scotty B!!!

As for the overall Tea Party, sure there are some nuts. But mainstream Republicans (Boehner et. al.) are the ones who drove this country into a ditch along with Bush and the Democrats. We need reform so desperately that I'll take a few kooks along with the wave of reformers.

Thanks for the update nob. Keep in mind that the Tea Party has been infiltrated with plants to discredit the movement with various techniques and those signs you refer to were likely part of that process. A homosexual on CNN referred to them in the same derogatory manner that you do and he knew quite well what he was saying.

People who are caught up in perversion generally assume that there is a "psychological" issue with those who oppose it. One of the most amazing scriptures in the Bible is Genesis 19:11. When the homosexuals were attempting to rape the angels they were struck with blindness, yet they continued all night long trying to find the doorway to fulfill their desire to rape them. That is one of the most astounding examples to demonstrate how the mind of the perverts is completely taken over when Satan traps people in that deathstyle. We are now seeing this same type of insane rage from the homosexuals as demonstrated in Rhode Island, for example, at the pro-marriage rally. Many ignorant people like to pretend that the homosexual deathstyle is some benign, personal issue and that it has no effect on society. America is on the verge of chaos and I will soon be at great risk for expressing the truth about homosexuality. We are all going to see how tolerant the homosexuals are now that they are getting the satanically delivered power they so long for. The major reason for the rage is that homosexuals tell themselves that once they attain some level of acceptance they will be happy. Once they find out that it does not bring them happiness they get more frustrated and pursue the next level of acceptance. Ignorant people tend to continue to cave in until the perverted few attain dominance but that too does not bring them satisfaction. The continued frustration of achieving the “dream” of having the perversion accepted by society turns the perverts to violence and rage because nothing they sought brings them fulfillment. Unfortunately, very few realize that their fulfillment is in rejecting the perverted lifestyle and living according to God’s law.

The Tea******* named themselves. There are plenty of signs from Tea****** protests that show this. Just Google it, if you know how. Your obsession with homosexuals is really interesting from a psychological point of view. And, FYI, the practice you speak of is not limited to homosexuals. It's also done by heterosexuals. Are they "perverts" too?

Chris

The people I saw in the Tea****** Rally here on April 14th were not Obama voters. They're in this movement because Obama won, because he has done many of the things he said he was going to do. These people are poorly educated, old, white and very scared. The last thing they are interested in is change of any kind.

Yeah, Nob, they are called the Tea Bag Party, get it right, OK! Remember when they were just starting out they sent tea bags to Congress and Senate. Thanks for the momories Tea Bag Party.

I want to take this opportunity to thank the Tea Party for electing Massachusetts Republican Scott Brown since he voted for the Financial Reform Bill and help the President of the United States with another legislative victory, thank you Tea Party. Have you heard of “Unintended Consequences” or “Blowback”? Was he working for the Tea Party, himself or our Country, hmmm only you can answer this one?

The problem is this. Tea Party candidates will win a number of these congressional races because local districts are often safely partisan in nature. They can make their wild, unfounded claims, crazy accusations, etc., and win. That means not only are we likely to see an increase in Republican seats in both houses, we're likely to see more antics, more insanity, more stupidity. At the same time they're going to do everything they can to derail Obama's policies which will likely mean high unemployment, a moribund economy, and more compromises on policy positions that make no one happy.

That could literally mean that if the Republicans put up a legitimate candidate in 2012, they could win. Such a result is bad enough, but the likely response for the Democrats is to move further to the "middle" to placate voters. As we've seen over the last decade, the "middle" in American politics is basically on the verge of being an 80s Republican. Increasingly that means we'll have a political landscape of a conservative party and rat**** insane parties. The former, given it's track record, slowly moving to the right, the latter, given it's track record, loudly screaming "socialism, communism, fascism!!!"

If we continue on this course, privatization will be socialism.

nob - you can bury your head in the sand if you like. Obama was elected with a clear mandate for change; he has tried to get everyone around the table in a collective/corporate manner when he should have been ready for a fight. The people would have backed him, maybe they still would. You can dismiss the TEA party all you want, but people are angry and this will get a lot worse given the economic situation. You guys were founded by fighting against a power that would not listen - a superpower at the time. The same thing could happen again unless things change. Or maybe the Chinese will do it for you

nob - interesting that perverts on the one hand boldly claim there is nothing wrong with their perversion and they even blaspheme God by stating he condones their perversion and created them as perverts, yet the same perverts seek to insult those they hate by labeling them as the same type of perverts and by implying that they perform the same perverted actions as the perverts. Is there a dichotomy here in arguing that perversion is OK on the one hand but denigrating others by labeling them as perverts when you want to insult them?

Suggestion to the administrator - disgusting references to the perverse actions homosexuals perform on one another should be purged. nob is referencing a despicable homosexual activity in his derogatory remarks toward the Tea Party. I could care less which party he supports but do not want to reminded of the grotesque and despicable perversions that the perverts perform on one another when I read the blogs on this site.
