Restore the Republic through proportional representation.
http://www.electtheninetynine.org/financial-welfare.html

Sign Petition

http://www.change.org/petitions/united-states-congress-repeal-law-62-5-and-change-our-government-to-proportional-representation

Greetings Senator and Congressman/woman

I just signed the following petition addressed to: United States Congress.

----------------
Repeal Public Law 62-5 and Change our government to Proportional Representation

It is abundantly clear that you do not represent the interests of the 99% of the People. At every opportunity you steal our freedoms while increasing your power above and beyond that which is delineated in the Constitution. You are detached from our realities while you live a life of luxury afforded by the bribes you receive in campaign contributions and other back door deals. Year after year we petition you for a redress of our grievances and you turn a deaf ear. We seek the reinstatement of our rights and property through the courts only to be denied by a judiciary that has been crowned a king. Our contract with you, the Constitution, has been rendered null and void by your spurious interpretations in order to benefit a minority who are of the “well-to-do.”

You enact laws that violate our freewill.
You place the coerced conviction on the auction block sold off for a profit producing an incentive to create more crime.

You allow the harmless criminal to victimize us twice, the initial offense, and then the humiliation of paying for his punishment.
You enact laws which we must abide by yet you are immune to.
You have denied us fair and impartial trials.
You have skewed the scales of justice in favor of the prosecutor rendering the court an assembly line of mass production injustice.
You allow the poisoning of our food, water and air so that the corporations can pave their driveways in marble and gold.
You allow the banks to gamble with our money which we never agreed to and when they inevitably lose you reach in our other pocket to give them more.
You fabricate evidence to justify the conquest of other nations contrary to the mandate handed down by the Framers of our Constitution; when caught, you refuse to investigate or hold yourselves accountable.
We express our disgust in the market place of ideas and instead of supporting our First Amendment Right you swarm us with law enforcement agents in the night who are better equipped than any Roman legion purposely deceiving the world ignorant of our plight.
You force us to hand over the fruit of our labor to the wealthy elite just to have a place to sleep, and when we refuse you criminalize us to sweep us out of sight.
We inform you that we are living in a most dreadful state, yet you refuse to even look us in the eye hiding from us a thousand miles away.
You tax, borrow and spend to you heart’s content without a care in the world our children’s children will be the one’s paying off the debt.
We finance the educational system not once but twice and then we still have to mortgage our future through loans to obtain the skills necessary to earn a living.
Even this is not enough in today’s economy as you send our jobs oversees denying us the opportunity to ply our trade, just like king George, the Special Interests and the Corporation did to our Founding Fathers 237 years ago.

You have used the levers of power from your inaccessible location to deny us Life, Liberty, Justice and the pursuit of Happiness rendering the form of our current government devoid of the principles promoted in the Declaration of Independence and Constitution.

The three branches are no longer effective at checking and balancing the injustices incurred as the result of greed and lust for wealth and power. The form or our elections and representations deny us the Republican form of government guaranteed in the Constitution, Article IV Section 4.

We, therefore, 300 million freemen and freewomen without a noble or king among us, request that you change the form of our government and laws to be in compliance with the agreed upon promises that are stored up in the Constitution.

These promises of Life; Liberty; Equality; Social and Economic Justice, general Welfare, Security and Truth have been locked away in a vault inaccessible for lack of resolve, but we now come to you with the redemption price, our sworn vow to establish a true Republican form of government through proportional representation.

I humbly request that you take all necessary steps to enact

Amendment 28 – RESTORING THE REPUBLIC:
Guaranteeing the Republican Form of Government Through Proportional Representation; Ensuring Democracy and Liberty to Each Citizen; Increasing the General and Economic Welfare of the People of the United States

At, http://www.electtheninetynine.org/elected-official-click-here.html, you will find information on how to publicly proclaim your support and effort to enact Amendment 28. Should you not actively pursue the enactment of Amendment 28 I will be forced to Vote you out of office for not representing my interests. I will vote for any candidate most likely to defeat you in an election even if the candidate does not support this Constitutional Amendment. Below is the full text of Amendment 28 which can also be found at: http://www.electtheninetynine.org/28th-amendment.html.

----------------

Sincerely,

One of the 99%.

@Kevin, Hey bro, what kind of job do you have that you can make such a cavalier comment? Maybe you should go move to the global south to help 'em out, being such a smart guy and all.

Reality check: the impoverishment of America is a harbinger of the impoverishment and ruin that will sweep across the world. It is not that 'the global south' is not suffering, but rather that 'the global rich' have achieved hegemony over all political and military entities. Dark days are coming, Kevin.

what about the people who are really suffering as a result of the neo-liberalization of the global economy? the workers of the global south?

americans can boo-hoo about the state of employment right now, but at least we aren't forced into wage-slavery by transnationals or condemned to perpetual debt and underdevelopment by world banks. "But the American people don't have two years to wait." how long must the farmers, the slaves, of the global south wait? were it only two years.

the real story, as usual, isn't here.

In the 1970's through 1990's a lot of factory work was being outsourced. And many working professionals told those factor workers to get an education and were very condacending to boot. Now their very own jobs are being outsourced.
