Many people wonder why so many of us are so hard on illegal immigration.  Well, it is not because we are against migrant workers coming into the United States to help agricultural giants pick fruit.  Certainly those workers should not be entering the country illegally - so if there is a real need for them a mechanism for bringing them in legally should be worked out.  No, the reality is that securing our border is actually a national security issue.  Federal agents and local law enforcement officials are now openly announcing that they are outgunned, outmanned and are increasingly being shot at by the Mexican drug cartels that are openly conducting military operations inside the United States.  Things have actually gotten so bad that the U.S. government is warning U.S. citizens to permanently stay away from certain areas of Arizona.  The truth is that so many of us are so worked up about illegal immigration not because we want to deny the "American Dream" to all of the people south of the border, but rather because we are actually witnessing a military invasion of our soil by some of the most ruthless and powerful drug cartels on earth.  It is unconscionable for our politicians to stand by and do nothing to secure the border as foreigners continue to pour in and openly conduct military operations against the American people. Over the past several decades, most of the major industrialized nations have been borrowing and spending unprecedented amounts of money.  This has enabled them to greatly stimulate their economies, and has allowed hundreds of millions of people to live fabulous lifestyles.  But there is a problem when nations try to live beyond their means for decades.  A big problem.  The problem is called debt.  Right now the world is facing a sovereign debt crisis that threatens to throw the entire globe into a very, very deep recession.  In fact, Bank of England Governor Mervyn King recently called this the worst financial crisis in history.  While that might be a bit dramatic (at least at this point), the reality is that the situation in the financial world is becoming very, very serious.  You see, debts have to be paid back eventually.  All over the globe, national governments are trying to deal with debt and interest on debt that has piled up so dramatically that they don't know what to do about it.  For example, the United States is in a complete mess.  The U.S. national debt is scheduled to soon surpass 13 trillion dollars.  To get an idea of how big that is, if you went out and spent one dollar every single second,  it would take you more than 31,000 years to spend one trillion dollars.  It would take you more than 403,000 years to spend 13 trillion dollars.  Are you starting to get the picture?  This gigantic debt that the U.S. government has accumulated is about to turn the American Dream into the American Nightmare.  It is literally impossible for the United States to ever pay the national debt off, and as it continues to explode it will increasingly become a crushing load that the U.S. economy can simply not support. As Barack Obama and U.S. Senators John Kerry and Joe Lieberman continue to try to ramrod a "green economy bill" down the throats of the American people, many Americans are openly wondering what this new green economy is going to cost all of us.  After all, two new reports have just come out that clearly indicate that "climate change legislation" is really, really bad for an economy.  In fact, many are projecting that the cap and trade system that Barack Obama and the Democrats wish to impose on all of us will end up killing the American Dream for millions of people.  At a time when the U.S. economy is already coming apart at the seams, the last thing we need is another huge mountain of oppressive regulations heaped on to American businesses.  This is especially true considering the fact that global corporations have already shown that they will ship manufacturing jobs out of the United States at the drop of a hat.  The reality is that the new green economy is not going to be good for any of us, and the American people need to wake up to that fact. Declaring that "we've come to take our government back", Tea Party favorite Rand Paul, the son of U.S. Representative Ron Paul, soundly defeated Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson in a Republican primary fight for the U.S. Senate seat held by retiring Republican Senator Jim Bunning.  He will now face Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway, the winner of the Democratic primary, in the November election.  It is hard to understate just how important this victory is for the Tea Party movement.  The entire Republican establishment was behind Grayson and they tried desperately to get him enough support to win the primary.  But it did not work this time.  Usually when the Republican machine gets behind somebody, they have no problem winning a primary.  Could this be a signal that politics in America is changing?  Could this be a sign that the American people are so sick and tired of what is going on in Washington that they simply refuse to listen to the two big political machines (the Republicans and the Democrats) any longer? Most Americans believe that the massive nuclear arsenal that the U.S. military accumulated during the Cold War is still sitting there today - silently protecting them as they pursue the American Dream.  But that is NOT the case.  In fact, the United States currently only has a small fraction of the nuclear warheads that it did during the 1960s and the 1970s, and Barack Obama wants to make further substantial cuts.  If you are an American, what you are about to read should seriously upset you.  The weapons that have protected our freedom since the end of World War II are rapidly being dismantled at a time when the geopolitical situation around the world is becoming increasingly unstable.  Iran is feverishly working on developing nuclear weapons, North Korea already has them and it is only a matter of time until terrorists get their hands on some, and yet Barack Obama keeps insisting that radical nuclear disarmament is a great idea and nobody out there (including the Republicans) is putting up much of an objection. The state of Arizona is taking a ton of heat for the anti-illegal immigration law that they just passed.  Barack Obama is outraged and is directing his administration to look for ways to challenge the law.  The government of Mexico has issued a travel advisory for the entire state of Arizona.  Latino groups are promising unprecedented turnouts for the upcoming May Day protest marches.  There has even been graffiti popping up in Phoenix that is threatening to "burn this racist city" among other things.  But you know what?  The state of Arizona got it exactly right.  This is not about stopping legal immigrants who want to come in the "front door" and pursue the American Dream legally.  America will always need that kind of immigration.  No, this is about stopping the never-ending wave of serial criminals, gang members, drug dealers and economic parasites that have been endlessly parading unchecked into Arizona.  If the federal government was not going to act, then the state of Arizona had to.  Now other nearby states are studying Arizona's new law and are considering implementing similar measures themselves. Thanks to the health care "reform" bill passed by Congress and signed into law by Barack Obama, American taxpayers are about to be hit with the largest tax increase in the history of the United States.  According to an analysis by the Congressional Joint Committee on Taxation the health care bill will generate $409.2 billion in additional taxes by 2019.  But there are also heavy fines for those who refuse to buy the health insurance mandated by the bill.  According to the Congressional Budget Office, the health care bill imposes approximately $69 billion in penalties for individuals and businesses who don’t meet mandates to purchase health insurance.  This will be the first time in the history of the United States that the federal government has ordered Americans citizens to buy a good or service.  But it is not just a small amount of money that the U.S. government is requiring all of us to spend.  In fact, the federal government will be mandating that ordinary Americans pay almost as much to private insurance companies as they do in federal taxes.  (Read More.....)

Will the 21 percent cut in Medicare payments coming this month force many doctors to boycott Medicare patients in order to survive? That is a question that thousands of American doctors are pondering as the U.S. Congress deliberates whether or not to allow a 21 percent cut in Medicare payments to go into effect. In fact, the cuts were already supposed to go into effect, but the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services has put a hold for 10 business days on physician Medicare claims, thus giving the U.S. Congress a little bit more time to act. It is more than one year since the American people selected Barack Obama as their leader, and with each passing day it is becoming increasingly clear why the American people should have elected Ron Paul instead.  The U.S. economy continues to collapse, the U.S. government is running up a record budget deficit, our borders are wide open, hatred for the United States is at an all-time high around the world and our individual liberties continue to be eroded as never before.  The American people are becoming increasingly frustrated by the socialist big-government solutions that the Obama administration and the Democrats are coming up with.  But the truth is that both the Republicans and the Democrats have been advocating bigger government, more spending, more debt and more globalism for years, and now we find ourselves on the edge of complete disaster.
