By Unilaterally Changing Obamacare, Obama Is Making A Mockery Of The Constitution

Obama LaughingSince when can a president change a law all by himself?  By unilaterally declaring that certain provisions of Obamacare will not be enforced, Barack Obama is making a mockery of the U.S. Constitution.  For those that have not read it, the U.S. Constitution says that the president “shall take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed“.  So when Obama declares that he will not enforce certain provisions of Obamacare for a year, he is directly violating the Constitution.  And as Stanford Law School Professor Michael McConnell wrote back in July, the Office of Legal Counsel for the Justice Department “has always insisted that the president has no authority, as one such memo put it in 1990, to ‘refuse to enforce a statute he opposes for policy reasons.’”  This is an open and shut case.  If the U.S. Congress still had a shred of respect for the Constitution, they would immediately demand that Obama enforce the law as written.  If Obama refused, they should immediately impeach him.  We are a country that is run by the rule of law, and just because Obama’s new law completely screws up one-sixth of the economy does not mean that he can unilaterally change it.  In our system, Congress makes the laws and the president enforces them.  If we allow any president to unilaterally change laws whenever he does not like them, then that puts us dangerously close to having a dictator in the White House. Scientists: We Can’t Do Anything About The Antibiotic-Resistant Superbugs That Will Soon Kill Millions Of Us

Image courtesy of the National Museum of Health and Medicine, Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, Washington, D.C., United StatesThe “wonder drugs” that we have been using since the middle of the last century are rapidly losing their effectiveness, and medical authorities are warning that the emergence of very powerful antibiotic-resistant superbugs represents “one of the gravest threats in the history of medicine“.  Of course the “wonder drugs” that I am talking about are known today as antibiotics.  These drugs attack bacteria, and when they first began to be developed back in the 1950s and 1960s they were hailed as “miracles” that would save countless numbers of lives.  Well, it turns out that nature is having the last laugh.  All over the planet bacteria are developing resistance to these drugs, and scientists are warning that they can’t really do anything to stop these superbugs.  With each passing year these superbugs are gaining ground, and there appears to be not much hope on the horizon of being able to fight them.  In fact, no new classes of antibiotics have been invented since 1987, and none are being developed right now.  Meanwhile, scientists are telling us that many current antibiotic treatments will be completely obsolete by the year 2030.  Are you starting to understand why so many high profile members of the scientific community are using the words “catastrophic threat” to describe this crisis? We Are Heading For The Greatest Doctor Shortage In American History

Emergency Room - Photo by Thierry GeoffroyThe United States already has an emerging shortage of doctors, and thanks to Obamacare that shortage is about to become much, much worse.  Right now, the U.S. has close to a million doctors, and about half of them are over the age of 50.  Many of them are beginning to wonder if practicing medicine is worth it anymore.  In some specialties, treating Medicaid and Medicare patients pays so little that many doctors are now turning them away.  Other doctors are charging their regular patients enormous amounts in order to make up for the money that they are losing on Medicaid and Medicare patients.  And of course the paperwork and the red tape imposed on doctors by the health insurance companies and the federal government gets worse with each passing year.  Some doctors actually spend more time filling out paperwork and dealing with red tape than they do seeing patients.  On top of everything else, there is the constant and never-ending threat of being sued by predatory lawyers and losing everything.  The giant malpractice insurance premiums that many doctors have to pay are an extreme financial burden on many practices.  When you add it all together, it really is not surprising to learn that large numbers of doctors all over the nation are being driven into bankruptcy.  Unfortunately, Obamacare is going to make all of the problems that I have just discussed even worse.  This is going to result in much longer waits to see a doctor, and the level of health care in this country is going to go down substantially. 9 Reasons Why Many Liberals Absolutely Hate Obamacare

Remember - Dissent is Patriotic - Photo by Kevin SmithBarack Obama’s number one job is not to defeat the Republicans.  Rather, his number one job is to run the government well.  And when it comes to Obamacare, he has failed miserably.  The launch of Obamacare has been such a colossal fiasco that words like “disaster” and “catastrophe” simply do not do it justice.  According to recent polls, Americans are against Obamacare by an average margin of about 10 percent, and even many liberals that fought so hard to get Obamacare passed are now abandoning ship.  All over America, health insurance policies are being canceled, health insurance premiums are absolutely skyrocketing, and millions of people that actually wanted to get health insurance through Healthcare.gov find that they are unable to do so.  Yes, the U.S. health care system was already a complete and total mess before Obamacare, but now Obamacare has made things much, much worse and there is little hope that things will improve any time soon.  The following are 9 reasons why most Americans (including a growing number of liberals) absolutely hate Obamacare… (Read More...)

12 Facts About The Epic Obamacare Launch Train Wreck That Every American Should Know

Train WreckEven though it is nearly impossible to get signed up for health insurance through the Obamacare websites, if you don’t currently have health insurance you better get signed up by January 1st or you will get slapped with a fine.  Is this fair?  Of course not.  But this is the way that the U.S. government works in the 21st century.  They put unreasonable demands on people, and then the government punishes them heavily when they are not able to comply.  The launch of the online “health insurance exchanges” which were supposed to make signing up for Obamacare a breeze has been an abysmal failure.  There have been a great many examples of government incompetence over the years, but this one might take the cake.  The Obama administration spent more than 93 million dollars to set up these websites, and they are so hideously dysfunctional that hardly anyone has actually been able to get signed up for Obamacare over the first ten days.  But instead of delaying the individual mandate, the Obama administration is using the threat of a fine to force millions of Americans to use a system that is a complete and total nightmare. Has ANYONE Actually Been Able To Successfully Sign Up For Obamacare Yet?

Obamacare Website DownDo you know anyone that has been able to get past all of the glitches and sign up for health insurance using one of the Obamacare websites?  Thousands of applications have been “started”, but the mainstream media has been desperately searching for someone that has actually been able to successfully get enrolled and so far they haven’t been able to find a single example.  The Obama administration had been promoting the story of one 21-year-old student from Georgia, but it turns out that his “success story” was a fraud and he was not actually successful in signing up for health insurance yet.  So exactly what in the world is going on here?  Certainly a few of the millions of visitors to these websites must have successfully signed up for health insurance, right?  In the end, whether a handful of Americans have been able to sign up for health insurance or not is not the real issue.  The real issue is that the launch of the most highly touted health law in U.S. history has been an epic fail. 20 Signs That The Pharmaceutical Companies Are Running A 280 Billion Dollar Money Making Scam

Pharmaceutical Drugs - Photo by Tom VarcoIf you could get 70 percent of Americans addicted to your drugs and rake in $280 billion a year in the process, would you do it?  If you could come up with a “pill for every problem” and charge Americans twice as much for those pills as people in other countries pay, would you do it?  If you could make more money than you ever dreamed possible by turning the American people into the most doped up people in the history of the planet, would you do it?  In America today, the number of people hooked on legal drugs absolutely dwarfs the number of people hooked on illegal drugs.  And sadly, the number of people killed by legal drugs absolutely dwarfs the number of people killed by illegal drugs.  But most Americans assume that if a drug is “legal” that it must be safe.  After all, the big pharmaceutical companies and the federal government would never allow us to take anything that would hurt us, right?  Sadly, the truth is that they don’t really care about us.  They don’t really care that prescription painkillers are some of the most addictive drugs on the entire planet and that they kill more Americans each year than heroin and cocaine combined.  They don’t care that antidepressants are turning tens of millions of Americans into zombies and can significantly increase the chance of suicide (just look at the warning label).  All the big pharmaceutical companies really care about is making as much money as they possibly can.  The following are 20 signs that the pharmaceutical companies are running a $280 billion money making scam… (Read More...)
