25 Horrible Statistics About The U.S. Economy That Barack Obama Does Not Want You To Know

Share on FacebookTweet about this on TwitterPin on PinterestShare on Google+Share on LinkedInShare on StumbleUponEmail this to someone

The human capacity for self-delusion truly is remarkable.  Most people out there end up believing exactly what they want to believe even when the truth is staring them right in the face.  Take the U.S. economy for example.  Barack Obama wants to believe that his policies have worked and that the U.S. economy is improving.  So that is what he is telling the American people.  The mainstream media wants to believe that Barack Obama is a good president and that his policies make sense and so they are reporting that we are experiencing an economic recovery.  A very large segment of the U.S. population still fully supports Barack Obama and they want to believe that the economy is getting better so they are buying the propaganda that the mainstream media is feeding them.  But is the U.S. economy really improving?  The truth is that it is not.  The rate of employment among working age Americans is exactly where it was two years ago and household incomes have actually gone down while Obama has been president.  Home ownership levels and home prices continue to decline.  Meanwhile, food and gasoline continue to become even more expensive.  The percentage of Americans that are dependent on the government is at an all-time record high and the U.S. national debt has risen by more than 5 trillion dollars under Obama.  We simply have not seen the type of economic recovery that we have seen after every other economic recession since World War II.

The horrible statistics about the U.S. economy that you are about to read are not talked about much by the mainstream media.  They would rather be “positive” and “upbeat” about the direction that things are headed.

But lying to the American people is not going to help them.  If you are speeding in a car toward a 500 foot cliff, you don’t need someone to cheer you on.  Instead, you need someone to slam on the brakes.

The cold, hard reality of the matter is that the U.S. economy is in far worse shape than it was four or five years ago.

We have never come close to recovering from the last recession and another one will be here soon.

The following are 25 horrible statistics about the U.S. economy that Barack Obama does not want you to know….

#1 The percentage of Americans that own homes is dropping rapidly.  According to Gallup, the current level of homeownership in the United States is the lowest that Gallup has ever measured.

#2 Home prices in the U.S. continue to fall like a rock as well.  They have declined for six months in a row and are now down a total of 35 percent from the peak of the housing bubble.  The last time that home prices in the United States were this low was back in 2002.

#3 Last year, an astounding 53 percent of all U.S. college graduates under the age of 25 were either unemployed or underemployed.

#4 Back in 2007, about 10 percent of all unemployed Americans had been out of work for 52 weeks or longer.  Today, that number is above 30 percent.

#5 When Barack Obama first became president, the number of “long-term unemployed workers” in the United States was 2.6 million.  Today, it is 5.3 million.

#6 The average duration of unemployment in the United States is about three times as long as it was back in the year 2000.

#7 Despite what the mainstream media would have us to believe, the truth is that the percentage of working age Americans that are employed is not increasing.  Back in March 2010, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed.  In March 2011, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed. In March 2012, 58.5 percent of all working age Americans were employed.  So how can Barack Obama and the mainstream media claim that the employment situation in the United States is getting better?  The employment rate is still essentially exactly where it was when the last recession supposedly ended.

#8 Back in 1950, more than 80 percent of all men in the United States had jobs.  Today, less than 65 percent of all men in the United States have jobs.

#9 In 1962, 28 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs.  In 2011, only 9 percent of all jobs in America were manufacturing jobs.

#10 In some areas of Detroit, Michigan you can buy a three bedroom home for just $500.

#11 According to one recent survey, approximately one-third of all Americans are not paying their bills on time at this point.

#12 Since Barack Obama entered the White House, the price of gasoline has risen by more than 100 percent.

#13 The student loan debt bubble continues to expand at a very frightening pace.  Recently it was announced that total student loan debt in the United States has passed the one trillion dollar mark.

#14 Incredibly, one out of every four jobs in the United States pays $10 an hour or less at this point.

#15 Household incomes all over the United States continue to fall.  After adjusting for inflation, median household income in America has declined by 7.8 percent since December 2007.

#16 Over the past several decades, government dependence has risen to unprecedented heights in the United States.  The following is how I described the explosive growth of social welfare benefits in one recent article….

Back in 1960, social welfare benefits made up approximately 10 percent of all salaries and wages.  In the year 2000, social welfare benefits made up approximately 21 percent of all salaries and wages.  Today, social welfare benefits make up approximately 35 percent of all salaries and wages.

#17 In November 2008, 30.8 million Americans were on food stamps.  Today, more than 46 million Americans are on food stamps.

#18 Right now, more than 25 percent of all American children are on food stamps.

#19 According to the U.S. Census Bureau, today 49 percent of all Americans live in a home that receives some form of benefits from the federal government.

#20 Over the next 75 years, Medicare is facing unfunded liabilities of more than 38 trillion dollars.  That comes to $328,404 for each and every household in the United States.

#21 During the first quarter of 2012, U.S. public debt rose by 359.1 billion dollars.  U.S. GDP only rose by 142.4 billion dollars.

#22 At this point, the U.S. national debt is rising by more than 2 million dollars every single minute.

#23 The U.S. national debt has risen by more than 5 trillion dollars since the day that Barack Obama first took office.  In a little more than 3 years Obama has added more to the national debt than the first 41 presidents combined.

#24 The Federal Reserve bought up approximately 61 percent of all government debt issued by the U.S. Treasury Department during 2011.

#25 The Federal Reserve continues to systematically destroy the value of the U.S. dollar.  Since 1970, the U.S. dollar has lost more than 83 percent of its value.

But the horrible economic statistics only tell part of the story.

In communities all over America there is a feeling that something fundamental has changed.  Businesses that have been around for generations are shutting their doors and there is a lot of fear in the air.  The following is a brief excerpt from a recent interview with Richard Yamarone, the senior economist at Bloomberg Brief….

You have to listen to what the small businesses are telling you and right now they are telling you, ‘Hey, I’m the head of a 3rd or 4th generation, 75 or 100 year old business, and I’ve got to shut the doors’ or ‘I’ve got to let people go. And if I’m hiring anybody back, it’s only on a temporary basis.’

Sometimes they do this through a hiring firm so that they can sidestep paying unemployment benefit insurance. So that’s what’s really going on at the grassroots level of the economy. Very, very, grossly different from what you’re seeing in some of these numbers coming out in earnings releases.”

All over the country, millions of hard working Americans are desperately looking for work.  They have been told that “the recession is over”, but they are still finding it incredibly difficult to find anyone that will hire them.  The following example is from a recent CNN article….

Joann Cotton, a 54-year-old Columbus, Mississippi, resident, was one of those faces of poverty we met on the tour. Unemployed for three years, Joann has gone from making “$60,000 a year to less than $15,000 overnight.” Her husband is disabled and dependent on medicines the couple can no longer afford. They rely on food stamps, which, Joann says, “is depressing as hell.”

Receiving government aid, however, has not been as depressing as her job search. Joann says she has applied for at least 300 jobs. Even though she can barely afford gas, she drives to the interviews only to learn that the employers want to hire younger candidates at low wages.

The experiences have taken a toll: “I’ve aged 10 years in the three years that I’ve been looking for a job,” Joann told us. “I want to get a job so I can just relax and exhale … but I can’t. After a while you just give up.”

Meanwhile, Barack Obama and his family continue to live the high life at the expense of the U.S. taxpayer.

Even many Democrats are starting to get very upset about this.  The following is from a recent article by Paul Bedard….

Blue collar Democratic voters, stuck taking depressing “staycations” because they can’t afford gas and hotels, are resentful of the first family’s 17 lavish vacations around the world and don’t want their tax dollars paying for the Obamas’ holidays, according to a new analysis of swing voters.

It simply is not appropriate for the Obamas to be spending millions upon millions upon millions of U.S. taxpayer dollars on luxury vacations when so many Americans are deeply suffering.

But Barack Obama does not want you to know about any of this stuff.

He just wants you to buy his empty propaganda one more time so that he can continue to occupy the White House for another four years.

    You were expecting what?

    • ME

I have trouble with the idea that ANYONE couldn’t see this coming. That said, now everyone seems to be crying about falling home prices. For the last 15 years most people were complaining that home prices were too high. The housing crash in places like Vegas and Phoenix was enivetible. Prices were completely out of equilibrium with actual values. We should all be happy when housing starts in these markets fall to zero, and existing (nearly new) inventory can finally get consumed. Where I live, housing prices have not crashed so dramatically, but they had not gotten so detached from reality either.

  • Andrew in Australia

President Obama is only the latest in a long chain of self-interested politicians. In reality, there is very little difference between either party.

So tell me, who really cares if President Bush was the bad guy for starting a war and creating debt, when his successor has no difficulty doing exactly the same things (or worse) despite clear promises to the contrary? It’s not the brand of politician that makes the Presidency great, but the character of the man who fills it. I think George Washington was exactly right … as his resignation drew near he wrote a letter to the nation warning of the danger of political parties, and how they would turn the government from a group of people interested in their nation’s future to a rabbling mob of power hungry professional politicians.

The sooner people on BOTH sides of the political spectrum realise they’re being played for chumps and begin electing men of real character again the better off the whole world will be.

Re: “The cold, hard reality of the matter is that the U.S. economy is in far worse shape than it was four or five years ago.” As the saying goes, that’s not a bug, it is a feature. Barack Obama is not an American in the generally understood sense of the term, and his hostility to our nation is a matter of public record. He and his cabal of neo-Marxists/neo-fascists wish to bring down our nation, not build it up. In short, we have a traitor in the White House, albeit one almost no one is willing to label as such, for reasons of cowardice, apathy, fear, or other reasons.

ARE YOU IN?

    • Gary2

I have to agree with you on many of your points. It is sickening all the vacations. also to pretend Obama/Mittens give 2 shits about the average american family is a joke. Its just that mittens does not even pretend to care and Obama throws us a bone and at least pretends to care.

In a way I can almost respect republicans like Paul Ryan for at least being honest and admitting all they care about is the rich. There should be no doubt in anyone’s mind that the GOP is the party of the 1%.

Michael: Your timing is excellent, and your article is an effective counter-balance to the torrent of mainstream media propaganda. On the front page of the Washington Post on Saturday, April 28, a headline reads “Economy Continues on Path of Growth.” The first two lines read, “Americans have ratcheted up their spending on cars, clothes and furniture, new figures show, and their fortitude at the cash register is energizing the recovery. The economy grew by 2.2 percent in the first three months of the year, the Commerce Department reported Friday, largely thanks to more consumer spending.” While it contains some mention of unfavorable trends, overall it’s upbeat, and near the end it reads, “Overall, the report signaled that the economy appears to be muddling through despite the economic woes in Europe and $4 gasoline in the United States. It’s far from booming, but it doesn’t seem headed into another recession.”

You can see the rest of it here, although the online version has a different headline:

Interestingly enough, the Post writer avoided mentioning the 25 statistics you featured in your article. That goes to show that, if someone ignores reality (like the Post does), things look alright.

    • Michael

Yes it is fascinating how they see things so very differently. ;)

Michael–Given the large number of folks who are not in the 1% and never will be in the 1% who continue to vote against their self intrest by voting republican and do not still realize that they are nothing but cannon fodder for the rich I hold out no hope that the American people are smart. Many of these tea billies are so dumb that they do not even realize they are on government benefits. The blue states way support the red states.

I was listening to a interview from a author who wrote a book called the conservative brain (an oxymoran) and how conservatives deny facts that are right in front of their eyes and the stupidity of the vast majority of conservatives is astounding.

The only bright spot is that conservatism is doomed demographicaly speaking as almost no young people are conservative. All the angry old white men and women in their government paid for scooters/wheelchairs with the confederate flag sticker on the back of the seat are dying out.

The root cause of our economic demise is not distribution of wealth although we are in agreement that more can be done on that front without sacrificing the profit incentive and hence productivity. The core cause of the decline of the middle class is the globalist policies at the expense of the US labor force.

The above being a fact how do you justify placing Democrats as our savior when they moved in lock step with Republicans in practically the same percentages on the policies that have eviscerated US manufacturing and with it “Good Jobs At Good wages”? Just as a refresher I’ll recite the numbers and names. Clinton twisted arms and in essence bribed Democrat Congressmen to vote for NAFTA despite the wishes of their core supporters in organized labor and 80% of US Senate Democrats voted for China Free Trade with Biden, Kerry, Edwards and Kennedy being part of that yea vote? Clinton signed that into law just prior to leaving office.

The Democrat leadership is very dishonest with their supporters and while focus is on the Republicans I suggest watching your friends a lot closer. Without their support in massive percentages (80%) China Free Trade would not be law and Us factories would still be open.

      • Gary2

Kevin–youo are 100% correct. The Dems scuk. Its just that the repubes suck way worse. The dems are not irrational and I can work with them and try to change the party (move it to the left) from within and at the same time support groups like OWS and other third party candidates.

So I guess bottom line–short term move the dems to the left which I think we are doing, voting out the DINOS and long term get money out of politics so congress represents us and not the 1%.

I will also point out that using your own numbers on which party votes for what the dems are better but not by much.

Gary2 reminds me of one of my favorite Bible verses: a fool is wise in his own eyes.

  • Gary2

Even though m any of your stats are taken way out of context you are generally correct. We really need a third party and to get citizens untied overturned so that elections are not just which rich person is buying what election.

None of the politications represent the regular people, only the rich.

True I would take Obama over Mittens anyday but I and many other progressives are extremley disappointed in how conservative Obama is. I/we feel duped.

We need ralph nader/bernie sanders to be president.

Yes the dems are better than ANY conservative but that’s like saying big earth quakes are worse than tornados. Earth quakes (republicans) cause more damage but tornados (dems) are also bad.

PS–many of your stats could be mitigated by simply taxing the rich hard and corporations who are sitting on record profits even harder and spreading the wealth.

    • Kevin

What number did i present in any false manner? What is taken out of context.

Clinton did campaign against NAFTA. I heard it with my own ears. Clinton did offer Federal Money to districts to help specific Democrat Congressmen get re-elected in spite of their yea vote for NAFTA. Clinton did sign China Free Trade into Law. The roll call vote on China Free Trade was 80% of US Senate Democrats voted yea including Biden, Kerry, Edwards and Kennedy.

      I misrepresented nothing.

“PS–many of your stats could be mitigated by simply taxing the rich hard and corporations who are sitting on record profits even harder and spreading the wealth.”

Mitigated? I can mitigate a bad Christmas with a dollar store toy. Mitigating the effects of Free Trade with any significant effect would require abandoning Free Trade. Having someone loose a 50k job and retaining them on public assistance of 20k forever (or until the factory reopens….yes forever) is not a viable answer.

Third Party? How about Democrats actually voting like Democrats regarding trade? They flat out lie to their supporters and are rewarded with re-election because the tornado as you put it is not as bad as the earth quake. The Republicans tell the body politic up front they are supportive of the likes of NAFTA and China Free Trade.

    • Kevin

“We really need a third party and to get citizens untied overturned so that elections are not just which rich person is buying what election.”

The Republican party supports business interests which at one time when those businesses were in the US employing Americans was a pretty good idea. Unfortunately those interests (factories and jobs) are to a great degree no longer in the US so the prima facia case for their support regarding this fades.

The Democrat party verbally supports US Labors interests. Unfortunately this support is in words only according to their voting record for the last several decades.

You do not need (or desire) a third party. There is no reason to assume that they would not be as corrupted as the Democrats are now. You need a Democrat Party that lives up to what it says. Face it the Republicans get stones thrown at them because they say on the campaign trail that they are for Free Trade. No lie there. The Democrats are the more dishonest in their presentation before their supporters.

Here are the basic real choices.

Both parties will ship your job to the third world forcing you to compete with slave labor.

Neither party will effectively regulate Wall Street.

Both parties will cherry pick through the 1st, 4th, 5th, 6th and 10 Amendments bending them to fit their specific agenda which is not in line with either the letter or spirit of the law. .

The Democrat Party has an agenda long standing to disarm the civilian population aided by the occasional NE Republican such as Mitt Romney and opposed only by some of the rural Democrats in House and Senate.

I’m sitting out the Presidential Race for the first time since 1976.

      • John Andrews

I will write in Ron Paul and surprise them all. You don’t have to sit out this election. Just make another choice. You can write in anyone’s name but don’t throw your vote away by not casting it. There is another option.

Yet this reality was spun into a headline 2.2% “growth” in GDP, in the hopes that would make us feel warm and fuzzy enough to go borrow a ton of money to blow on something or other (unless we’ve already borrowed tens of thousands of dollars in student loans, in which case we’re now debt-serfs and unable to borrow more.)

…Our government is in effect a pathological liar–not just about wages, GDP and unemployment, but everything. Does any well-informed citizen believe anything the government claims is true, about Afghanistan, the budget, or future Federal liabilities?….”

So many levels of logic fail, where to start?? Firstly, Obama has been the one not only telling the world about these problems, he has been leading the effort to alleviate them, whereas the Repubs have been fighting every inch to increase them. Food stamps? Obama tries to increase funds, whereas the Repub solution to the increased number of Americans on food stamps is to defund the program – voila, problem solved the Conservative way. Meanwhile, they fight tooth and nail to extend the Bush tax cuts for themselves and their cronies.

Too many unemployed/underemployed recent grads? Heck, right this minute the Repubs are fighting to increase the cost of student loans rather than fighting to increase job opportunities.

#14 = rofl! Who has been fighting for living wages and who has been fighting against them?

Seriously. Put down the tin foil hat and step away from the Kool-aid already!

“We have an election coming up between Romney and Obama. It’s not the lesser of two evils: it’s the greater of two stooges. These are no choices……If you vote for the lesser of two evils in a criminal organization, you are an accessory to a crime—the crime being committed against democracy and freedom in America. If you voted for one of the two members of the two-headed one-party system, you are an accessory to the crime.”—Gerald Celente

One of the things I love about Gerald Celente, Alex Jones and Paul Craig Roberts is their ability to look at the big picture. They don’t get caught up in silly Republican culture war nonsense; they don’t get caught up in dopey Democrat political correctness garbage. No, they focus on the bigger issues: a failing economy, a currency in peril, an increasingly abusive police state, the destruction of the American middle class, the fascist oligarchy that has its noose around our necks. The USA as it we knew it has been gutted, and we are now living in a Third World horror movie called The Banana Republic of America.

“This is beyond left and right. This is about good and evil, right and wrong. And if people can’t recognize that we’re in deep trouble, they are abetting pure evil.”—Alex Jones

“Hey kiddies, keep spending that money in college. Get that degree as an MBA. You too can have a job at Wal-Mart. You too can become a cashier or a clerk.”—Gerald Celente

“This isn’t communism, as people say. It’s fascism, the merger of state and corporate powers. And we’ve been merged. We’ve been merged with the bailouts. We’ve been merged with the buyouts. We’ve been merged with the rescue plans. This isn’t a free country anymore. And I fear for what is going to happen in the future.”—Gerald Celente

“Even a dog knows when he’s being kicked, and the middle class in America has been kicked over and over again.”—Alan Grayson

“Once the system collapses, you’re screwed. There’s nobody there to save you. And that’s the message of all this. We are looking at a collapse of the global economic system, particularly in the United States and Europe. And when this thing collapses, we believe there’s going to be economic martial law. El presidente of los Estados Unidos has already put into play the laws, guidelines and executive orders that put them in position to take over.”—Gerald Celente

On more than a few occasions, I’ve mentioned a Third World horror that I call the DPDDTT. But for those who might be unfamiliar with this concept, here is a DPDDTT refresher course.

    FAQ on the DPDDTT:

    Q: What is the DPDDTT?

    A. DPDDTT stands for the Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax. It isn’t a “tax” in the literal sense, but rather, is something that desperately poor people resort to in crime-ridden Third World countries. Examples of DPDDTT include kidnapping, carjacking, armed robbery and violent home invasions.

    Q: Where is DPDDTT collected?

A: DPDDTT is quite common in Venezuela, El Salvador, Guatemala, Papua New Guinea, Brazil, México, Nicaragua, South Africa, the Philippines, Honduras, Jamaica and Haiti. Notoriously dangerous places like Hillbrow in Johannesburg, Tepito in La Ciudad de México (orale, guay!) and the favelas of Rio de Janeiro are full of DPDDTT collectors.

Q: Will the DPDDTT be coming to The Banana Republic of America?

A: Now that the BRA has the economy of a Third World banana republic, DPDDTT will no doubt be coming our way, sadly.

Q: Have Gerald Celente, Alex Jones and Arianna Huffington discussed the DPDDTT?

A: They haven’t actually used the term DPDDTT, but they have addressed the concept. Celente has predicted that Latin America-style kidnappings will be coming to the BRA, and in her book “Third World America,” Arianna Huffington has said that unless this country saves its middle class, it will become a dangerous, unstable place where the affluent will need 24-hour bodyguards in order to avoid being kidnapped in broad daylight.

Q: How do I avoid paying DPDDTT when it comes to the BRA?

A: In Third World countries, millionaires and billionaires hire armed bodyguards to avoid paying DPDDTT. And when those bodyguards prevent kidnappers, carjackers and home invaders from getting to millionaires and billionaires, DPDDTT collectors prey on those who cannot afford bodyguards (the middle class or people they THINK are middle class). Sometimes, DPDDTT collectors are disappointed when middle class or poor people cannot meet high ransom demands, and they express their displeasure by murdering the kidnappee. DPDDTT is no fun.

Q: How will I know when I’ve been hit with DPDDTT?

A: There will be no mistaking it. Here’s how DPDDTT works in Third World hellholes: a professional kidnapping gang lets you know that they’ve snatched your wife or daughter and demands a ransom. Just to prove they mean business, they sever a finger (possibly one with a wedding ring) and send it to you. Or, they torture her, film the torture and send you the video. In order to speed up the collection process, DPDDTT collectors might cut off additional fingers and mail them.

So there you have it: FAQ on the horrors of the Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax, coming soon to a Philadelphia, a San Diego, a Boston or a Chicago near you.

God help The Banana Republic of America.

Very well written. Would you mind if I passed on your Q&A about DPDDTT?

      • El Pollo de Oro

Kevin: Please do. Americans need to know what kind of mess the globalists have gotten us into, and thanks to the globalists, one of the nasty things Americans have to look forward to is the Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax. In the words of Gerald Celente, “things are going to be very violent in America.”

      • Gary2

        I second that! Good insite!

    • DB200

I lived for only a short time in a DPDDTT country. It has changed my mindset, even now ten years later. It has become far more difficult to relax, for example. It has also become more difficult to trust people.

On the other hand, my sixth sense to become aware of potentially dangerous situations developed remarkably, which I consider a big plus.

  • Colin

There is an article in the Daily Kos. The United States leads the developed world as the top low-wage nation. Nearly 25% of our nation’s workers in 2009 made less than two-thirds of the median wage.

disgusting! and it will get worse because Obama has illegally outsourced our votes to a foreign company called SCYTL to count-I mean steal our votes. This company is funded by soros – no surprise there.
I have written my congressman and I am begging everyone to do the same and demand that this illegal action be stopped, before America is gone.

  • VegasBob

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.

I’m a liberal Democrat, but I won’t be voting to re-elect Barack Obama this November. It is better that Mitt Romney serves George W. Bush’s fourth term rather than Barack Obama.

  • Paul W.Baker

Obama is a pathetic joke! No one is really sure where he was hatched. Everyone knows who the mother was, but not sure who the father was (probably Malcom X) and he steals a deceased man’s social security number from Connecticutt.
He never achieved any notable accomplishments of any kind, doesn’t know what hard work is.

    • mondobeyondo

Actually, Obama’s achieved a lot. He graduated from Harvard. And he’s an accomplished author – he wrote “Audacity of My Father”, or something like that. It’s probably not on the Amazon best-seller list anymore, but neither are any of J.K. Rowling’s boy-wizard epics…

I’ve never read his books, so I apologize if I made an error.

  • mondobeyondo

Can’t wait to see the brand new marble statue of President Obama on the National Mall in Washington.

You say you don’t like that? Okay, let’s carve his face onto Camelback Mountain in Phoenix, Arizona. Believe me, there is no greater honor among mankind.

(someone please hand me a bottle of Pepto Bismol)

    • xander cross

Be very careful of what you ask for.

      • mondobeyondo

It’s not like President Romney would be any better. *sigh*

Seems our age of heroes and patriots has passed us for the moment. Maybe in the hopefully near future, another Washington or Lincoln or John Paul Jones (no silly, not the former bass player for Led Zeppelin) will rise up again among us. Until then… it will be a long, dark, stormy night.

  • xander cross

Yes he is a natural born citizen. So, what you’re saying is that Hawaii is not a state. How sad for you to say that but then again, you’re probably homeschooled. Funny, you did not ask if George Bush was a natural born citizen, I wonder why?

    • Jeremiah Diehl

He was actually born in Kenya… Stop being so ignorant.

      • xander cross

He is not born in Kenya you racist. He alerady proved that. You need to stop listeing to lies from alex jones.

        • Roy

racist? How can you say that. He i neither Black or White. His mother was awhite whore and his father a black drunk. How do you get racist out of that.

    • John Andrews

Neither Obama OR Romney are “natural born citizens” of this country. Being a “natural born citizen” by definition means both parents are citizens of the U.S. at the time of birth of the child. By this standard Marco Rubio also is not eligible to run for president. Simply being born on U.S. soil is not enough according to the Constitution. Both parents must be citizens at the birth of the child to be considered a “natural born citizen”.

#13: The CBS Sunday Morning show on April 29 at 9 a.m. Eastern carried a story about student debt concerns, but as one might expect, the gist of the story is that it’s well worth it, you’ll be able to pay it off before too long, and you’ll make so much more money in your life time. I wonder if loan companies advertising on TV had a hand in shaping the presentation of this nonsense?

  • Rick

Things are pathetic out there, but Barack Obama can only be faulted for continuing the failed policies of the Reagan and succeeding administrations.

    • Gay Veteran

interesting how things started getting worse when Reagan got in office, and it has been downhill ever since

      • knightowl77

You forgot Carter the peanut farmer came first and was far worse

        • Gay Veteran

really? did the Federal debt explode under Carter? No, that started with Saint Ronnie

          • mike

You are both morons…under Reagan we were the best we have EVER been you tools!

  • John in Los Angeles

Well this I already knew and I thank Micheal for turning on the light in the storeroom.
Suprise! It’s empty and the rats are knawing on whats left. Please make way for angry hordes of zombies.

Just to give an example. I overspent on training books bought through Amazon as I am having to learn new skills. Ran out of food last week. Friend said, go to this food pantry which I really didn’t want to go. But no money so there I go.
Showed up hour early and was #39, but the good part was that it provided and the private charity Jewish run really gives you dignity instead of the guilt trip.Leave it to the Jews to take care of their own.THe black guy how volunteered was really excellant as the people who worked there were too.
Huge, huge line. Young old, every group had a rep.
Was amazing to see all the retirees, the white/ black older folks who you could tell contributed in their time. Lots of illegals, and of course they don’t bother to be acclimated. Getting tired of playing the nice white guy.

What was funny was the cars driving by. Stares and then looking away. A few younger types seemed like more hip. Lots of angry bootstrap looks though.
    God doesn’t like America anymore.
    Can’t blame him.
One $100,000plus Mercedes from the Hills cruised by and the dudes face was taking it all in as he seemed to understand the deal.Movie type. THey live in their own world and if you can get work from them it’s much better.
You then are exempted from Blade Runner Third World America.

    James 2:5 – 6 ESV
Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him? 6 But you have dishonored the poor man. Are not the rich the ones who oppress you, and the ones who drag you into court?

    Warning to the Rich
    James 5: 1-6
1 Come now, you rich, weep and howl for the miseries that are coming upon you. 2 Your riches have rotted and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver have corroded, and their corrosion will be evidence against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have laid up treasure in the last days. 4 Behold, the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, are crying out against you, and the cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of hosts. 5 You have lived on the earth in luxury and in self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned and murdered the righteous person. He does not resist you.

    Revelation 3 : 17-19
17 For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing, not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked. 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich, and white garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen, and salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see. 19 Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline, so be zealous and repent.

    • Gary2

thats right–tax the rich and spread the wealth to save the rich scum souls.

  • DB200

Another statistic that fits Michael’s list is the Weekly Leading Index from ECRI.

Lakshman Achuthan, founder of ECRI, thinks in 2012 there will be a recession in the USA.

  • Mary McKeever

What all of you fear is NOTHING compared to the NDAA act passed by Congress and written by John McCain and Joe Lieberman. Maybe when someone shows up and your door late at night and halls you off to a firing squad you will ask WHAT IS THIS FOR? They may have no charges against you and it may be for ******* and giggles.

  • El Pollo de Oro
You had mentioned that the USA is becoming a BANANA REPUBLIC. It is already here.Kidnapping for ransome is thriving here in the San Diego area. in Chula Vista Ca,there are a lot of NARCOS living here-Especially EASTLAKE and they do have people kidnapped here hidding in some of these nice homes. There is also TRANSNATIONAL KIDNAPPING here.Look it up in google.People have been kidnapped by gunpoint and dragged across to Mexico for ransome. It exist here, but everyone wants to deny it.There have been rich people from Tijuana move here to exscape the violence, and have been followed and kidnapped here.Peole have been murdered in the San diego area and their bidies dumped in Mexico. In Bonita Ca there was a body discovered near a park which has been disolved by acid. Many NARCOS live in CALIFORNIA in affluent areas and the stupid American Sheeple dont know aboput it and probably dont want to know. But they enjoy the products that the Narcos sell them.In San diego a lot of things go on but the press doesn not report it and with the arrogance of the people here they want to pretend it CANNOT HAPPEN HERE.We are living in a third world BANANA REPUBLIC-Los Estados de America,Un pais inseguro y corupto.

  • Tom Baxter

While from one perspective the US economy is not doing well, from another th recovery is doing just fine. Banks too big to fail are bigger and more protected from losses than ever. We’ve had ten straight quarters of increasing corporate profits. The hiring/producing class are wealthier and posses a greater and greater share of US income and wealth. The US still spends total personal income tax on defense more than the rest of the world combined.

  • Hidesato Sakakibara

This is jsut more proof that the shift from West to East is in full swing. I am afraid that regardless of who wins the Whitehouse in 2012, things will only continue to get worse.

  • empty pockets

I’m reading this article for the first time three years later (7/8/15) after Barry has had over two more years to advance his agenda of fundamental transformation into a Marxist socialist “utopia” (every bullet point above is now even farther in the wrong direction).

The only correction needed is that Obama doesn’t want to believe it’s getting better. He wants US to believe that but all this is by design. What we may see as incompetence or “bugs”, are really “features”. It’s all been intended, confirmed by so much additional ‘piling on’ since.
