The US will be spending somewhere in the ballpark of $880 billion to $1.03 trillion for defense this year. Many Americans think that our involvement overseas is not worth the expense, but the goverment officials and the businesses that stand to profit from our involvement always reiterate to us that our presence overseas is warranted, desired and/or neccessary - that the US provides an invaluable service to the citizens of Country X Y or Z. Okay, well if this is the case and what the military-industrial complex is offering really is such a wonderful service to whatever country we happen to mix ourselves up in, let's start charging them for it! Instead of us shelling out our hard-earned tax money, let's have the countries we're "helping" pay for our invaluable services. I mean, if indeed what we're doing overseas really is as helpful as the talking heads claim it is, the countries we're occupying currently will have no problem paying us for our "help", right?! Pshh! Globalism has taking over and you have to understand NEW WORLD ORDER language to begin to comprahend what is really happening. All people in Congress do not have the best interest of this country. One common trait I see in your kind is the age old bane "don't confuse the issue with facts." This is not a left/right, Republican/Democrat issue that contaminates our politico.
