20 Signs That Society Is Breaking Down And That America Has Been Overrun By Psychos

In order for a society to function successfully, people need to be able to trust one another.  Unfortunately, we are rapidly getting to the point where it is very difficult to trust anyone and society is breaking down.  Just think about it.  Do you trust most politicians?  Do you trust most lawyers?  Do you trust most bankers?  Do you trust the police?  As you will read about below, even doctors are going absolutely bonkers these days.  So if the “upper crust” of society cannot even be trusted, then what about everyone else?  Sadly, the truth is that America has been overrun by psychos.  Most people look somewhat “normal” when you meet them, but unfortunately very few people have pure motives these days.  You never know when someone is going to stab you in the back (literally or figuratively).  These days, most people simply do whatever is right in their own eyes, and that makes society a very unpredictable place.  As the economy continues to fall apart in future years, people are going to become even more desperate, and that is going to cause all of this craziness to get even worse.

Almost everywhere you look, there are signs of societal decay.  During an interview last year, trends researcher Gerald Celente made the following statement….

“Society is breaking down on every level: socially, economically, politically and it’s not just the U.S. It’s worldwide.”

Sadly, he hit the nail right on the head.  There is not a single segment of society that the rot of social decay has not touched.  A lot of people want to put all of the blame on “the politicians” or “the bankers”, but the truth is that many of us are just as corrupt as they are.  Instead of pointing fingers, many of us need to look in the mirror.

You might find some of the examples in the list below to be a bit humorous, but a very serious point is being made here.

America is being fundamentally changed, and not for the better.

The following are 20 signs that society is breaking down and that America has been overrun by psychos….

#1 Cannibalism is alive and well in America apparently.  Down in Miami the other day, police shot a man who was literally eating the face off of another man….

“The guy was, like, tearing him to pieces with his mouth, so I told him, ‘Get off!'” Vega said. “The guy just kept eating the other guy away, like, ripping his skin.”

Vega flagged down a Miami police officer, who he said repeatedly ordered the attacker to get off the victim. The attacker just picked his head up and growled at the officer, Vega said.

As the attack continued, Vega said the officer shot the attacker, who continued chewing the victim’s face. The officer fired again, killing the attacker.

It is being reported that the victim in this crime has lost about 75% of his face.

#2 Down in Florida recently, a crazed doctor spit a mouthful of blood on state troopers during a DUI arrest.  It is quite frightening when even doctors are displaying this kind of psychotic behavior….

Bird had $40,000 in his pockets and another $14,000 — along with two handguns, some pills and a small vial of liquid — in his BMW, troopers said.

The crazed doc repeatedly smashed his head against a partition until blood began gushing down the front of his face.

“Hey! Blood, blood, blood, blood all over! Take me to the hospital! Take me to the hospital!” Bird raves in the video, as he uses his head to smear blood all over the car.

#3 A lot of people get on my case for picking on Detroit, but can you really blame me?  So much bizarre material keeps coming out of the city.  For example, just check out what recently happened to a 22-year-old pregnant woman….

A 22-year-old pregnant woman survived after being bound, driven to Detroit, set on fire and shot early Saturday morning.

The woman, who was nine-months pregnant, had returned from a movie with her boyfriend and dropped him off at his house in Warren when she was approached from behind, Warren police Sgt. Dave Geffert said.

The woman’s hands, feet and eyes were bound with duct tape. She was then forced into her car and driven to an unknown place in Detroit where she was doused with lighter fluid, set on fire and shot once in the upper back, he said.

#4 Even famous preachers get carjacked in Detroit.  Just ask Pastor Marvin Winans….

Pastor Marvin Winans’ SUV remains missing as of Thursday morning and so do the men who punched, kicked and robbed the famous gospel singer.

Winans was pumping gas Wednesday afternoon at a Detroit Citgo station on the corner of Linwood and Davison when at least two men ambushed him.

#5 Would you like to have your lips stapled shut and then be tortured with a power tool?  Well, that is exactly what happened to one man in Utah recently.

#6 A 26-year-old high school teacher in Minnesota has been charged with sending naked photos of herself to the phone of a 17-year-old male student.  Did she really expect to get away with that?

#7 For some teachers, one student simply is not enough.  A 33-year-old art teacher in Arizona was recently charged with having sex with four of her male students.

#8 Many of our major cities are turning into war zones.  According to WGN, a total of 25 people were shot in a single night in Chicago recently.

#9 These days, most people do not seem to care if you are pregnant.  Up in Seattle, police tasered a pregnant woman three times after she refused to sign a ticket for a traffic violation.

#10 Down in Georgia, a police officer recently kicked a woman who was nine months pregnant directly in the stomach.  His superiors in the local police department defended his actions.

#11 After reading how police are behaving these days it is hard to have much confidence in them.  For example, just check out what one police officer is charged with doing in Philadelphia….

A Philadelphia cop was arrested over allegations that he abducted a 14-year-old girl, sexually assaulted her and made her watch him have sex with a prostitute.

Police found Anthony Dattilo, 36, at a motel in the Bensalem area of the city Wednesday while responding to a possible abduction, according to the Bucks County Courier Times.

Dattilo, a 12-year veteran of the Philadelphia Police Department, is reportedly in custody at the Bucks County prison on $500,000 bail.

#12 The sexual abuse that happens to children in homes all over America each night is absolutely unspeakable.  The following is one recent example from California….

A Superior Court judge sentenced a man to 40 years and 8 months to life in state prison Friday for sexually assaulting an 8-year-old female relative on Christmas Eve while family members slept in other rooms, calling his conduct “depraved.”Jorge Miguel Gallegos, 38, of Santa Ana, was convicted in April of six felony counts, including sexual assault, lewd acts on a child under 14, and dissuading a witness from reporting a crime.

#13 Everyone knew that sickos and perverts were going to flock to the TSA so that they could legally touch people, but this is ridiculous.  It was recently discovered that a Catholic priest that left the ministry because of allegations of sexual abuse has been hired by the TSA and works as a supervisor at an airport in Philadelphia.

#14 One recent study found that 5.3 percent of all inmates in state prisons have had a sexual encounter with prison staff.

#15 Down in Arizona, authorities recently removed dozens of cats from the home of an elderly woman for the third time.  This time, there were 64 cats living with her.  In the past, authorities had discovered that the woman would make a “feline stew concoction” with any of the cats that ended up dying.

#16 You know that things are getting bad when people are stealing from ambulances….

Spotsylvania County emergency officials are working to secure drug compartments in ambulances following a recent string of thefts.

Since April, two thefts have occurred at one rescue station and a third at another station. Morphine and other drugs were taken from locked ambulance compartments.

#17 Flash mobs continue to rob convenience stores all over the country.  The following is one recent example from Baltimore….

“They went in, they started going everywhere in the store, grabbing things and then they just run out. And I knew that they didn’t buy it because they just run out,” Kendra Mellerson said. “They ran that way and they ran that way. And the guy was trying to come out and stop them but they couldn’t because there was so many.”

After some kids ran away, a store manager blocked the door to keep the rest of the kids from leaving. But those kids got so mad that the door was blocked, they started punching the store manager.

“Yes, they really started hitting that guy and he couldn’t keep getting beat on so he eventually let them out. And then they just ran,” Mellerson said.

#18 It isn’t just people on the street that are behaving like psychos.  In fact, a series of seven scientific studies has found that “upper class people” behave more unethically than “lower class people” do.

#19 As society is breaking down, more Americans than ever are taking pills to dull the pain.  In fact, it is being reported that Americans take 80 percent of all the pain pills that are sold in the world each year.  Sadly, many of these pain pills are extremely addictive and cause people to want to commit crimes so that they can finance their pain pill habits.

#20 In 2008, a majority of American voters chose to send a radical Marxist con man who endlessly smoked marijuana during his early adult years to the White House.  In fact, according to author David Maraniss, Obama and his friends smoked so much weed that they were known as “the Choom Gang”….

As a member of the Choom Gang, Barry Obama was known for starting a few pot-smoking trends. The first was called “TA,” short for “total absorption.” To place this in the physical and political context of another young man who would grow up to be president, TA was the antithesis of Bill Clinton’s claim that as a Rhodes scholar at Oxford he smoked dope but never inhaled.

According to Maraniss, Obama took his weed smoking very seriously….

Along with TA, Barry popularized the concept of “roof hits”: when they were chooming in the car all the windows had to be rolled up so no smoke blew out and went to waste; when the pot was gone, they tilted their heads back and sucked in the last bit of smoke from the ceiling.

After reading the list above, do you still have any doubt that society is breaking down?

If things continue along this path, what do you think is going to happen someday when our economy fails and millions upon millions of Americans are hungry and desperate?

These are still the good times.  Even though our economy has declined somewhat, we are still experiencing rip-roaring prosperity.

So if this is how Americans will act when the leaves on the tree are green, what is going to happen when really hard times arrive?

That is something to think about.

Very interesting topic Michael; number 1 was particularly disturbing. And yet with all of this shit happening, what do the politicians do? They encourage this because they work for the highest bidder, and oftentimes the highest bidder cares not what the repercussions are, just how much they can earn in a minute. And the people keep electing these miscreants. The part about the cop kicking the pregnant woman was horrifying. Back in my grandfather’s day, cops were the good guys who kept the streets clear of violence, instead of causing it themselves. Politicians actually somewhat cared for the populace, and soldiers were appreciated for what they do and go through for us, not decrayed as they often are today. We need something, or someone to bring us back to our roots and to remind us what being an American is all about. As professor Hubert Farnsworth said; “I don’t want to live on this planet anymore.”

  • A concerned young AmeriCan Patriot

Also, to all of those who are going to bash Catholics because of number 13, please think before you comment. By bashing Catholicism as a whole just because of the deeds of certain people is not justified. Every organization has its unsavory characters, Catholicism no more so than some. And no, we Catholics are not demon-worshiping, GOD hating monsters; we are Christians whose main difference from Protestants is the fact that we believe the Pope is the successor to St. Peter, whom Jesus sent to Rome to spread the word of the lord. Catholics are GOD believing Christians too, and do not judge a whole group by just a few individuals.
If you believe differently feel free to reply; I will enter a civil debate with anyone who wishes to dispute or disprove my beliefs, after all, it is your right to your opinion which my ass’ll be on the front lines defending in a couple of years.

    • As long as you and your religion, think that you have to convert every one else, you are wrong.

    • And as far as “on the front lines defending in a couple of years.” That’s a crock of shit, the fact Is you will be a armed thug for capitalist America.
The only threat to our freedom Is our own government, but since obviously you don’t know as much as you think, go ahead and join the crooks.

    • H. F.

The reason people bash Catholicism is because you protect the GUILTY! You don’t punish them. You hide them. Let them take responsibility for their actions. That’s one thing truly rare in the world today, people who take responsibility for everything they do!

Day to Day etc: I agree, things seemed to have deteriorated since 9/11; politicians are bought and paid for, voting is a fraud as they are tied to Bilderberg control freaks. Prepare and hunker down..have a small trusted group to barter with, look out for each other in your community. Stay low key..America is finished; constitution trashed, etc.

  • asd

    this is called demonic possession

  • mark

Some people have always been nuts. In the past we would not have heard about these crimes. That said we used to be a sociaty that went to Church each week and tried to live a more Christ like life. As we stray from God’s Laws it will get worse. Our Founding Fathers warned us not to stray in that direction away from God.

    • Your full of ******, You better study up, I have all the documents right here on my desk.
You know, The Constitution, the Federalist Papers, The Bill of Rights, The Anti-Federalist Papers etc etc….
Have you even read any of the most Important documents of this country?

Between all the mood altering drugs that change the brain. Toxins in our foods. The break up of the family. Which IMHO leads down the path to dehumanizing other people. We have an explosion of dysfunctional people.

Studies have shown that most humans can only handle about 150 social connection. Basically a village with 150 people. We got away from that a little over a hundred years ago. We’ve had growth for the most part since then. Now it’s fading. The prosperity ride is over.

Expect the dysfunctional people to get out of control as times get tough.

  • Tom

Typo in title – should read “breaking” not “beaking”.

    • Michael

It is true. Perhaps my spelling is “beaking down” too. :)

    • Oh ************ the word police !!

  • Chris

When the people at the top fail to set an example by being guilty of corruption and fraud etc and the justice system deliberatley protects them then the people at the bottom can use this as an excuse to behave criminally. The police in the UK appear to be above the law too and hardly any are brought to justice for reckless actions causing death, corruption and fraud. Interestingly many police in the UK are Masons. Also lawyers, politicians and judiciary. See a possible connection here?
I suggest Michael that you do an article on the influence of Masonry in American politics, business/banking and law.

  • Piglet

Unfortunately I have read of such things for many years, so these are hardly new problems, just more of the same. And while Obomber’s dope smoking may be a new revelation, having a dope user in the White House is not new. The smirking chimp had a long history of heavy drug and alcohol abuse (very possibly the reason he had such a hard time uttering a coherent sentence not written for him by someone else), and of course no one really believes his predecessor, the serial liar, didn’t inhale, or that he limited his dope use to Mary Jane.

  • radical marxist? rally? he has continued the mix big biz/big Govt of prior presidents, inc bailouts, Keynesian economics, etc. Has he seized a lot of property for the state? more then other presidents? Has he passed socialized medicine (truly govt run medicine, not the hybrid Obamacare really is)?
The state, Micahel, is rather stupid, ractionary and sounds like talking points from the GOP and their advertising gurus. Same false front, false left/right stuff……..ruined the otherwise good article. Congrads, say hi to Mitt for us…….

    • Gary2

Michael–I wish Obama was a radical socialist. Many on the progressive side are disappointed at how conservative he has become. Calling him a socialist marxist is laughable. If only we were so lucky…

By the way, for those that are interested there is a free preview of a new magazine that will be featuring some of my articles on itunes….

It is called “Happy To Survive” and in a couple of months it will feature an extended interview with me. :)

        • Gary2

Michael–it this available on other venues than itunes?

itunes is slow and bloated and I banned all apple crap from my computer. I hate propriety formats.

Just want the regular mp3 no fuss no muss. Apple, well lets not go there.

That link is the only one the magazine sent to me.

In coming months hard copies of that magazine will be available.

  • Stan522

I walked into a crowded tire store the other day looking to buy new tires. I chose to wait at the tire store while they did the work. Most of the chairs were taken by an assortment of people. These people looked like they were from all walks of life, ages. As I sat down and began to soak in my surroundings, I looked at all the people with their heads down, thumbs out and they were all pecking away at their smart phones.

That’s what we have become. No one talks to each other. We all are just so stuck into the technology and we have lost the ability to speak to one another. We are on major meltdown.

    • DaytoDay

Not only that, if you are able to actually speak coherently or at least look like you have some life in you, people tend to ostracize and get defensive.

I don’t know what is happening… My favorite though, is the Job application that says, “Must be hard working” but what it really means is, “Must like the taste of a**”

So I agree with you, the “melting pot” is doing what it’s intended to do…

  • Cinderella Man

Regarding #1 zombies are real. As for Barry smoking pot I bet he still does! I can just see him clam baking in the presidential limo! Now back to the zombie the man was naked and unarmed and I am usually opposed to the police shooting unarmed citizens but I this case if I were the cops seeing that kind of gruesome behavior I would have shot the crazy basrard too mistaking him for something out of the Walking Dead.

  • WM

WOW! Great article indeed, although very disturbing. What I see here is the effects of several things. 1) The things of God being void in our society today, so the destructive ideologies/world views of humanism, evolution, atheism, reativism are running rampant and peoples minds and thought are changing for the worse. 2) I see how the effects of drug use can have a severe negative impact on our society. We get angry at the Mexican drug cartel, rightfully so, but if America lost its lust for drugs, the cartel would have no business here. 3) I see a increase in demonic activity across America as we are hearing more and more depraved activities and total loss of any moral compass whatsoever in this nation. Judgement is coming and it will come hard upon a nation who has spit in the face of the Lord Jesus Christ and simply does not want him in our nation. Well, we can expect things to get far worse and depraved than they are right now, this is only the beginning. We need to REPENT today!!!!

Oh, and for those who think I am some kind of religious fruitloop for mentioning demonic possession and influence……tell me when was the last time you seen a man eating another mans face in America?

    • Michael

I was a bit embarrassed that I originally misspelled the title of the article though. :)

“I see a increase in demonic activity across America as we are hearing more and more depraved activities and total loss of any moral compass whatsoever in this nation. There was a post several months ago regarding how police are treating woman…I put a challenge out to any police that visit this site to step up and try to explain to the American people WHY you think you can act like this and that you think that you can continually get away with this kind of behavior??? The silence was deadening.

I again, ask any police officer out there why you think it is justified to taze a pregnant woman?????????

Any police officer out there, please grow a spine and help us understand police abuse.

Many police are on a power trip, and the corruption that is rampant within the brotherhood of police will be exposed. You know you can only beat a dog so much before it bites back.

    • Gary2

WM–I think you answered your own question. The fact that they are cops in the first place should tell you all you need to know.

The caliber of the police is pretty low and this is from a retired LA cop friend of mine but I agree with his sentiments.

    • Cop187

Why do you assume all police agree with what that one officer did? Do you agree with everything that the people you work with do? As in any profession, there are good and bad. For anyone to assume that all police officers are all the same is like saying that every plumber thinks and agrees with every other plumber or that every doctor thinks and acts like every other doctor.

      • If 10 cops come to mess with you and they break the law and beat you, even though one of them who didn’t partake In the festivity’s and knew It was wrong and didn’t report It as breaking the law, he Is just as guilty.

  • knightowl77

The “choom gang” is in charge and all that “hope & change” will be coming as soon as the reefer is gone. Meanwhile Obama needs a ladder to do “roof hits” in Oval Office….Reading your examples seems like very bad fiction, but they are true. What kind of bizzaro world is this?

        • Djs

Very eloquent Gary , now do you care to explain your classification of all
          Conservatives being racist?

  • Imaplaneiac

I view the degeneration and depravity that now permeate our society or ” culture ” as another strong ” sign of the times “. My experience over the past many years is that MOST people I encounter – both on personal and professional levels – are UNTRUSTWORTHY! Not to mention uniformed and ignorant about IMPORTANT issues! When the ignoramuses in the US succeed in re-electing OWEbama, they will, again, confirm my assessments of them!

As an aside, I came across this expression on the web, ysterday: ” CHANGE we can be leavin'”. Get it – a mockery of Obummer’s ” Change We Can Believe In “! What a great campaign slogan this would be for Mitt Romney to use!

  • Jodi

This is what happens when God is taken out of our lives…people turn into animals. I fear it’s only going to get worse. Please pray for these pregnant women…so sad that pregnant woman was kicked in the stomach, so horrific.

20 Signs That Society Is Breaking Down And That America Has Been Overrun By Psychos

Michael–yes this is exactly how I would describe the conservative movement.

I could not have described it better myself!

    • Prepping for the Future

Gary who sign NAFTA and GATT to ship all our jobs of seas Your hero Clinton. You are not too bright you just one more trash talking progressive Marxist that wants to ruin this country. Move Gary but you won’t liberals are too lazy and don’t have the backbone to back up their words.

      • laura m.

Prepping for, etc: right on!! Gary 2 is a Marxist probably on the dole too. wants the taxpayers to support able bodied slacker scum.

  • Gary2

I see little difference in the cannibalism in FL and conservative policies. Both destroy lives and both are immoral.

The conservatives–take food out of the mouth of children,(cutting WIC) cut education and scar them (kids) for life.

Conservatives funnel all wealth to the top and are the cause of this depression.

    • Guido

Your first point isn’t merely ignorant, but absolutely disgusting.

I have to ask-since when were we obligated to provide the food you accuse conservatives of taking? You can hardly call it theft if it’s something that never belonged to someone in the first place. For one, if the gov’t provides it, it can just as easily be denied. Second, where do you find a duty on the behalf of the government to provide food, WIC, or anything else? I see no duty at any level and no Constitutional authority at the Federal level to support those programs. If the people at the state level wish to pay for them, I suppose that’s their business, but it’s also their business to shutter those programs. I’m not particularly concerned either way, since the government won’t be able to maintain these programs with increasing demand and decreasing funding.

      • Gary2

ah yes the famous conservative selfishness. I know you must not be a christian with that let them starve attitude.

You post nicely sums up what is wrong with conservatism.

Didn’t your mom teach you to share.

You really need to have a more inclusive “WE” way of thinking and loose the individualistic selfish “I” focus you have.

        • Gary2

From the bible…when I was hungry you gave me food. It does not say when I was rich you gave me a tax cut.

          • Graham

            A fitting analogy:-

            Watch your thoughts – they become words;
            Watch your words – they become actions;
            Watch your actions – they become character;
Watch your character – it becomes your destiny.
A Holy man was having a conversation with the Lord one day
and said, ‘Lord, I would like to know what Heaven and Hell are like.’ The Lord led the holy man to two doors.

He opened one of the doors and the holy man looked in. In the middle of the room was a large round table. In the middle of the table was a large pot of stew, which smelled delicious and made the holy man’s mouth water.

The people sitting around the table were thin and sickly. They appeared to be famished. They were holding spoons with very long handles that were strapped to their arms and each found it possible to reach into the pot of stew and take a spoonful.

But because the handle was longer than their arms, they could not get the spoons back into their mouths. The holy man shuddered at the sight of their misery and suffering. The Lord said, ‘You have seen Hell.

They went to the next room and opened the door. It was exactly the same as the first one. There was the large round table with the large pot of stew which made the holy man’s mouth water.

The people were equipped with the same long handled spoons, but here the people were well nourished and plump, laughing and talking. The holy man said, ‘I don’t understand’.

‘It is simple,’ said the Lord. ‘It requires but one skill…

You see, they have learned to feed each other.

The greedy think only of themselves.’

          • Gary2

Grahm–your story perfectly illustrates selfish conservatism and how destructive it is. All the individualistic people in hell could not work together and they were starving. The liberal folks in heaven are obviously working together and everyone is the better for it.

Your story proves again how terribly selfish conservatives are. The favorite word of a conservative is “I”. Sickening.

        • Prepping for the Future

So Gary what have done to help people. Oh nothing cause you too busy crying and stomping your feet asking for your free handout.

          • Gary2

I regularly (1-2 times per week) volunteer to deliver meals to poor seniors. I even spent 1/2 hour repairing one of the seniors TV that was not working. I must have really made her day as she said she can now watch the news. I was thinking she was better off having a broken TV :)

          • If you knew why so many people are slackers you wouldn’t believe In eugenics, like Bill Gates.

    • laura m.

Gary 2 : ref to WIC and EBT for food incl free lunches at gov schools, because parents breed and can’t fed ’em; Sorry scum parents don’t need to breed if they can’t work and support their own kids. Taxpayers got to support these low life breeders who need to be sterilized as irresponsible slackers. Then these kids grow up and repeat the cycle learned from sorry parents.

      • Gary2

Laura–in theory you are 100% correct, however, in real life the kids are born and here and need to eat. It is not their fault they were born of rotten parents.

Again you need to deal with reality. (something conservatives seem to have a hard time with)

There are also parents who could feed them and lost good jobs due to the depression and who could easily afford to feed em before this devastating republican great depression.

      • Gary2

Laura- at least you are honest and up front and do not pretend to be a Christian which there is no way you could be with your altitude.

Same with that goof Paul Ryan–at least he is 100% upfront about screwing the poor and giving more to the rich.

        • laura m.

gary 2: you don’t know your Bible; if a man won’t provide for his family he is worse than an infidel. Few churches now have missions with feeding centers for temporary homelessness or unemployment which communities/ should support as needed; not by taxpayers. You have a leftist socialist view like gov supporting slackers forever, that many phony Christians have in these liberal churches with gelded “preachers” who don’t speak out against evil. People can put their kids in foster care if they can’t raise them so they get a roof over their head and meals.

Why didn’t any of my female teachers do this. I feel left out. I can think of a couple of them who I would have….in a new york minute.

  • Gay Veteran

#20 In 2008, a majority of American voters chose to send a radical Marxist con man who endlessly smoked marijuana during his early adult years to the White House….

eyeroll, Obama is a corporate puppet. And frankly if he smoked marijuania in the White House then he might be less violent and stop killing civilians in Afghanistan, Pakistan, Yemen, etc.

  • Gary2

#18 It isn’t just people on the street that are behaving like psychos. In fact, a series of seven scientific studies has found that “upper class people” behave more unethically than “lower class people” do.

This is true-look at the damage the rich wall street did to the country and how none have been held accountable. Yet some poor kid with a dime gab gets sent to prison for years.

This is why the rich need to be taxed hard. It will limit the impact their immoral behavior has on the rest of society if they have less money/power.

“An uneducated man robs a train; an educated man steals the railroad”.

      President Teddy Roosevelt

The rich that swindle people need to go to jail, real jail. The amount of prosecutions have declined for financial crimes in the last three years which runs contrary to the speeches given by the present administration. This is compounded by the reduction in Financial Regulations since the demise of Glass-Steagall in 1999. Many things done today we’re illegal for decades for good reason and the laws that remain are not enforced.

      • Gary2

I have been very disappointed in how Obama has turned out.

        • Kevin

You will continue to be disappointed regardless who gets elected with the backing of the political party’s because they’re from the same pie just a different slice. They’re Wall Street / Establishment backed.

This is why I complain so much about Democrats when they tout their “Support for the little guy” BS. Before the election Romney will come out and tell voters that the present regulations on the Financial Industry are fine. Historically the Republicans propose extreme positions like the de-regulation of the Financial Industry and Free Trade induced industrial evisceration. The public replies by voting them out only to elect Democrats that flip on their promises and then make the extreme positions law. The ignorant public knee jerks back to Republican bad / Democrat good.

It’s a political variation of Good Cop / Bad Cop.

  • Buzzy Watts

Of course society is going nuts. Our society is based on a laughably transparent lie–that of the “homeowning middle-class quality person”–that everyone seems compelled to treat as gospel. Our leaders laud the “home-owning middle class quality people,” and imply that everyone else–even people working three jobs in life-threatening conditions–is a lazy parasite. People are so afraid of being an unperson that they do everything they can to keep their precious middle-class status, usually going deep into debt in order to buy the necessary status symbols and taking antidepressants to handle the fear that comes with being one pink slip away from losing their humanity.

Well, now that the economic collapse is in full swing, people are more afraid than ever that they’ll drop out of the middle class–and madness follows fear!

Yes, it’s true that America is being overrun by people exhibiting psychotic behavior. I found it odd and compelling that you chose to use pics of a general population jail setting. Almost pushed me over the edge this morning….why, you ask? Because my youngest son is in such a position as I speak. Is he a psycho? I don’t think so. Has he made a series of choices over time that has led him to this miserable existence? Yes. He just wrote me a letter detailing the drug use that led him to make the choices that led to his arrest. He’s 18. While you all blithely talk about the “psychos” that are perpetrating unspeakable crimes, remember that they are broken people just like you and me, who Jesus Christ died for to pay for their sins, as well as yours and mine. We should be horrified and burdened for them because while we are all patting ourselves on the back for our “contributions to society” or the fact that we are “law abiding citizens”, God does not see our sin any different than theirs. So with that….I’m sure that there will be a load of people who will jump on the ” it’s your fault, mom” bandwagon. Bring it on.

  • There is a saying that a fish rots from its head.

Here is another article that basically explains the same thing:

The rot has to get pretty bad before the kinds of anecdotes in this article can easily be collected from the daily news in America. This has been decades developing. Each time one one insane law was passed, and people adapted to have to obey it, we took another step towards the destruction of the rule of law.

In human terms, the path of least resistance is the path of least morality. When the system of government that is supposed to protect us from that becomes the worst of all the offenders, then nothing else is left to prevent the madness illustrated by the horrible individual stories which illustrate the point that society is breaking down, and being overrun by psychos. It started with the government. Not being able to trust them, and everyone that worked for them, has spread like rot everywhere.

I wish I believed something else, or saw some reasonable hope … but I have nothing but irrational hopes left.

    • mondobeyondo

You have hope. That’s a good thing.
There are many people who are losing hope. Many more will follow.
You can read about them in tomorrow’s newspaper or web page.
      Sad, but true.

If you want to see where the US is going, get to know someone from Eastern Europe. I spoke to a couple from Moldova the other day. I had arranged the meeting to hear about their survival of the Soviet Union’s collapse, since many of the conditions were similar to what Selco and FerFal discuss. Moldova is unique in that they created a massively corrupt nation with a veneer of government and the illusion of democracy for the benefit of dealing with the EU and NATO.

After the collapse, everything was done with bribes. If you drove down a highway, you paid mafia so your car would arrive at the end of the trip without damage. The borders were the worst, though, due to the presence of multiple organized crime and law enforcement groups on both sides. If you were to bring a load of cargo to the border, you would pass a gauntlet of crooks, cops, customs, border, then customs, cops, and crooks before you could finally drive off. If you couldn’t pay the bribes or protection fees, the damage was even calculated out for you. 200$ to drive down the road or you could get 500$ of damage to your car. The cops were less efficient. They just locked you up. The police made extra money on the side calling up the mafia to let them know about approaching targets. The police demanded bribes at every turn and would pull people over for myriad small violations to demand bribes. Just getting your car registered was a disaster-you either waited in a long, long, long line or paid 50$ for the privilege of going to the front of the line. My friend’s wife was nearly raped by a cop who had the power to deny their car registration. Food was also a problem for a while. Food was so short for a while that after they took a small load of food to their grandmother, neighbors broke in and stole everything. In the initial stages, they had to change the currency from old Soviet Rubles to… Lei? The cops and KGB went to all the banks, grocery stores, currency exchanges, and any other place with large amounts of currency on hand and seized it. They rolled out new notes with a few less zeros and gave everyone a set amount of time to turn over their money. For every, say, 30,000 rubles, you might get, say, 3,000 Lei, just to give an example. This was a way to crush corruption and screw people, since anyone doing all cash business and not using banks suddenly had their wealth evaporate. People with connections just bribed the cops and KGB, while the gypsies had their own methods. Apparently, they were the smartest ones, since they already knew how to survive, and they owned gold. They apparently also had connections because you could exchange rubles with them, too. As FerFal has noted, cash-for-gold merchants also popped up all over the country fast. After their experiences, my Moldovan friends refuse to go back and they’re very pissed about the possibility they’ll have to see it happen again here.

    • Kevin

My friends wife from Belarus pretty much had the same story’s. She ate beets and potatoes for a year.

  • Guido

Well, we can’t make people go to church, but we sure can enforce the laws with Russian Efficiency. Do you think a bullet in the back of the head would help dissuade a lot of crooks, especially if we enforced the rules the same for everyone? Imagine what Wall Street would have been like in 2008 if Ken Lay had been frogmarched out into the street and given a 9mm bulletectomy. And I wonder what it would be like if child molestation and rape were punished with death? If going crazy is going to be the national sport, then perhaps the protections for guilt by reason of mental wackiness should be thrown out the window.

  • GrantF

Perhaps we are looking at this wrong. Maybe this breakdown of society, which is taking place in every country and at every level, according to Gerald Celente, is not ultimately a bad thing but symptomatic of quantum change coming to this planet.

After all, is there anyone who is awakened to what has been happening, to the depth and degree of corruption within the power and control system, to the hideous psychopathic nature of the globalists at the top of the pyramid and the mindless goons who serve as their security force, to the spreading decadence of the Western, industrialized world, etc, etc, who does not see a need for fundamental change? Not likely.

And like it or not, meaningful change of the type and to the extent that we so desperately need on this planet does not happen without the breakdown and the eventual death of the status quo and all of its trimmings. Yes, this means a period of tumult will mark the transition and yes, this will unfortunately cause the death and suffering of many. But in the end it will be seen as what was needed to bring in the New Age of peace, prosperity and advanced spiritual enlightenment. It is precisely the societal structure which we have now and that we have had evolving for thousands of years throughout our entire recorded history which has kept us spiritually and financially imprisoned. Few would argue that this must ultimately disappear if the terrestrial human race is to ever advance beyond its archaic state of the present and the past.

      Have a laugh at this:-

An atheist was seated next to a little girl on an airplane
and he turned to her and said, “Do you want to talk? Flights
go quicker if you strike up a conversation with your fellow

The little girl, who had just started to read her book,
replied to the total stranger, “What would you want to talk

“Oh, I don’t know,” said the atheist. “How about why there is
no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life after death?” as he
      smiled smugly.

“OK,” she said. “Those could be interesting topics but let me
ask you a question first. A horse, a cow, and a deer all eat
the same stuff – grass. Yet a deer excretes little pellets,
while a cow turns out a flat patty, but a horse produces clumps.
Why do you suppose that is?”

The atheist, visibly surprised by the little girl’s
intelligence, thinks about it and says, “Hmmm, I have no idea.”

To which the little girl replies, “Do you really feel qualified
to discuss why there is no God, or no Heaven or Hell, or no life
after death, when you don’t know shit?”

A human´s jaw strenght makes eating another human´s face not that easy and the cannibal´s jaws looked rather average. It also took 6 bullets to down the creature, it did not react to being shot.

One of the policemen that witnessed the eating left the state with his family, why else would he leave if it wasn´t because he saw more than a human going mad, something that challenged his very worldview?

I agree here, only a renewed and nationwide faith in God will save us now. Christians should start actually living their lives for Jesus everyday like the scriptures command us to do. Unfortunately for me, I’m one of those who struggle daily. Only prayer and Bible reading helps me.

    1. Don’t the “little people” usually imitate the elites? and isn’t it already true that most of the elites are psychopaths? (Read Lobaczewski’s “Political Ponerology: A Study of Evil for Political Purposes”)

    2. If the “little people” see the elites not taking responsibility for their actions, they they think why should we?

    3. It ain’t just lack of God: how many crimes have so-called Christians committed in God’s name? (For instance, allowing and even cheering for Israel to destroy Palestinian Christian property and churches because Genesis 12:3 says “we can’t criticize Israel”? I’m talking to you, Christian Zionists!)

    4. Funny that it is true that Americans pop more pain pills than anyone else by a wide margin when pain pills purchased in America cost far more than anywhere else? But then again this is a huge industry in the hollers of West Virginia, which has a huge unemployment rate…

High fructose corn syrup is in practically everything we eat that we don’t grow ourselves, and then there is MSG, HPV, polysorbate 60, etc. etc. etc., all of which either destroy brain function sooner or later, make you obese, kill memory fuctions, or overactivate the “reptilian” parts of our primitive brain functions, which might explain why that Miami guy ate the other guy’s face (either that, or he can no longer handle the consistent level of crapitude the Dolphins have exhibited since Marino retired! Society is breaking down? For real?

    NO **************!!!
I have been saying this for the last 20 years, you cannot trust anything or anyone anymore. Everyone has lost any sense of self respect let alone respect for eachother, it seems that nowadays you are considered weak or stupid or a sucker or what ever, just for helping someone or even for saying thank you and having good manners. I will hold the door for people, I will let someone into traffic if I can, I will say please, thankyou, sorry… and i dont swear in public or the presence of kids or women. I try to do right and guess what? no one cares.. you have people lying all the time, cheating, doing any outreageous thing to make a quick buck, ripping off, scamming the elderly, preying on those who they percieve as not to bright, even cheating children out of money or tricking them into adult like sexual relationships. the wold is a sick sick place and yes, society is turning a new corner, the end is near, there is no hope except to root out those who act this way and put them away for good!!

  • John

Alright, now its going to be hard to phrase this without offending someone or accidentally starting up a debate of sorts. I noticed in the posts above that many people are bringing up religion (God, Christ, Jesus, etc). I was raised Catholic and I cannot say I am part of the faith, nor can I say I’m an atheist. In between, I acknowledge we are spiritual beings but God cannot “save us”. No matter what your faith is, if you want to be proactive about things you must do them. Sitting around and talking about the end of the world will not help, debating others will not help, and staying in a one track mind won’t bring you salvation. I respect others’ beliefs and life choices but what I really want to see is people give a sh*t. To actively help in all the ways we can, to be the best humans we can possibly be. Arguing between who is right and who is wrong is just wasting time, and stagnating progress. If anyone wants anything to change then they must be that change, not rely on “having the right faith”. Whether its science or religion, neither is going to answer sociological problems. IF you think God is going to help you than your being lazy and allowing your faith to do the thinking. Likewise with the atheistic debate, its just senseless and goes in circles. In short, as one we must work together to make things better for this world. Regardless of race, creed, sex, ideals, philosophy, etc. One thing is needed and that is the thirst for goodness, eternal goodness for the betterment of mankind. Trust me whether your faithful or not, clinging to your antagonistic ways of petty debate are meaningless. We must love, respect and cherish one another before we lose our way. Anything else is just denial, human beings love denial because it enables laziness. Like I said the debate between god and no god is just childish, pick your values, be your own person, but for humanity’s sake clean up after yourself, and stop arguing like children. Just be the best person you can. Without striving for a better tomorrow we will continue to sulk in the darkness of yesterday.

And for the record; I enjoy a lot of philosophy, eastern thought, science and world religion. So I cannot possibly categorize myself under one belief system.

  • really and like some are still surprised??my life long philosophy has been trust no one,,the person who smiles ,pat u on the back etc does it so the knife slides in easier sideways,,there is now a presidential candidate who hides his money in cayman island drug banks and his followers on the real american party say thats just fine,,,any real surprises,,??the same people who worship communist chinese labor practices and consider american workers as drech,,,chairman mao and stalin must be laughing
