With each passing year, the difference between America's prisons and America's public schools becomes smaller and smaller. As you read the rest of this article, you will be absolutely amazed at some of the crazy things that school children in America are being arrested for. When I was growing up, I don't remember a single police officer ever coming to my school. Discipline was always handled by the teachers and by the principals. But today, there are schools all over the country that have police officers permanently stationed in the halls. Many other schools will call out police officers at the drop of a hat. In the classrooms of America today, if you burp in class, if you spray yourself with perfume or if you doodle on your desk, there is a chance that you will be arrested by the police and hauled out of your school in handcuffs. Unfortunately, we live in a country where paranoia has become standard operating procedure. The American people have become convinced that the only way that we can all be "safe" is for this country to be run like a militarized totalitarian police state. So our public schools are run like prisons and our public school students are treated like prisoners. The United States has the highest incarceration rate in the world by far, and our schools are preparing the next generation to either "do time" in the prison system or to live as good little slaves in the Big Brother prison grid that is being constructed all around us. But what our schools are not doing is giving these children the critical thinking skills that they need to live as free citizens in a nation that used to be "the land of the free and the home of the brave".
Of course very few people would deny that the character of American schoolchildren has changed dramatically over the decades. Back in the 1950s, some of the biggest school discipline problems were gum chewing and hair pulling. Today, kids bring knives, guns and drugs with them to school. Gang activity is rampant in many of our schools and in some schools kids are even having sex in the school bathrooms.
So there is definitely a discipline problem in our schools.
But what is going on in many areas of the country is absolutely ridiculous. For example, in 2010 alone police down in Texas issued an astounding 300,000 tickets to school children.
Yes, if a kid pulls a knife on someone the police should get involved, but teachers and administrators should be able to use some common sense and handle the vast majority of discipline problems that happen themselves.
What you are about to read is absolutely going to amaze you. The following are 19 really crazy things that school children are being arrested for in America....
#1 At one public school down in Texas, a 12-year-old girl named Sarah Bustamantes was recently arrested for spraying herself with perfume.
#2 A 13-year-old student at a school in Albuquerque, New Mexico was recently arrested by police for burping in class.
#3 Another student down in Albuquerque was forced to strip down to his underwear while five adults watched because he had $200 in his pocket. The student was never formally charged with doing anything wrong.
#4 A security guard at one school in California broke the arm of a 16-year-old girl because she left some crumbs on the floor after cleaning up some cake that she had spilled.
#5 One teenage couple down in Houston poured milk on each other during a squabble while they were breaking up. Instead of being sent to see the principal, they were arrested and sent to court.
#6 In early 2010, a 12-year-old girl at a school in Forest Hills, New York was arrested by police and marched out of her school in handcuffs just because she doodled on her desk. "I love my friends Abby and Faith" was what she reportedly scribbled on her desk.
#7 A 6-year-old girl down in Florida was handcuffed and sent to a mental facility after throwing temper tantrums at her elementary school.
#8 One student down in Texas was reportedly arrested by police for throwing paper airplanes in class.
#9 A 17-year-old honor student in North Carolina named Ashley Smithwick accidentally took her father's lunch with her to school. It contained a small paring knife which he would use to slice up apples. So what happened to this standout student when the school discovered this? The school suspended her for the rest of the year and the police charged her with a misdemeanor.
#10 In Allentown, Pennsylvania a 14-year-old girl was tasered in the groin area by a school security officer even though she had put up her hands in the air to surrender.
#11 Down in Florida, an 11-year-old student was arrested, thrown in jail and charged with a third-degree felony for bringing a plastic butter knife to school.
#12 Back in 2009, an 8-year-old boy in Massachusetts was sent home from school and was forced to undergo a psychological evaluation because he drew a picture of Jesus on the cross.
#13 A police officer in San Mateo, California blasted a 7-year-old special education student in the face with pepper spray because he would not quit climbing on the furniture.
#14 In America today, even 5-year-old children are treated brutally by police. The following is from a recent article that described what happened to one very young student in Stockton, California a while back....
Earlier this year, a Stockton student was handcuffed with zip ties on his hands and feet, forced to go to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation and was charged with battery on a police officer. That student was 5 years old.
#15 At one school in Connecticut, a 17-year-old boy was thrown to the floor and tasered five times because he was yelling at a cafeteria worker.
#16 A teenager in suburban Dallas was forced to take on a part-time job after being ticketed for using foul language in one high school classroom. The original ticket was for $340, but additional fees have raised the total bill to $637.
#17 A few months ago, police were called out when a little girl kissed a little boy during a physical education class at an elementary school down in Florida.
#18 A 6-year-old boy was recently charged with sexual battery for some "inappropriate touching" during a game of tag at one elementary school in the San Francisco area.
#19 In Massachusetts, police were recently sent out to collect an overdue library book from a 5-year-old girl.
Unfortunately, what is going on in our schools is a reflection of the broader society as a whole. Our schools are being turned into prisons because our entire society is being turned into a giant prison.
Our nation is rapidly heading down the toilet, and the children of this nation do not have a bright future to look forward to.
If the police really want to find some criminals, they should start investigating some of the sickos that are in charge of some of these classrooms.
It seems like almost every day now there is a news story about some public school teacher that is involved in some kind of really perverted stuff.
For example, just check out what police down in Los Angeles recently found that one teacher was hiding....
A former Los Angeles elementary school teacher has been arrested for felony molestation of nearly two dozen students, accused of gagging children and putting live cockroaches on some of their faces. Deputies say the crimes were committed on campus.
Sickos who do that kind of stuff to kids should be punished very severely.
America's schools are changing, and not for the better.
Personally, I went to public schools all my life, but I would not recommend that anyone send their kids to public schools today. There is just way too much crazy stuff that goes on.
And our kids are learning less than ever in these public schools. As I have written about previously, many of them are coming out of the system as dumb as a rock. Instead of teaching our kids how to think critically and examine all sides of an issue, these schools are indoctrinating our kids and pushing particular social and political agendas on them.
There are a few public schools out there that are still good, but the vast majority of them are horrible. They are not producing the leaders of tomorrow and they are not preparing the next generation with the tools that they need to survive in a complex world.
So is there much hope that our schools can be turned around? Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion below....

Our elementary, middle and high school students are getting an excellent education in contemporary social studies…
This article makes a great case for enrolling our kids into private schools.
Government schools are wastelands of failure. Instead of teaching children life’s necessary skills, they are being taught how to be experts at spotting racism, sexism and homophobia.
they were designed for dumbing down-see Ray Moore/Exodus Mandate or John Taylor Giatto
More people, more corruption, more poverty, more ridiculous laws, more sue-happy parents, more elite control.
Education was formulated perfectly by the Rockefellers a century ago. Early education is an important tool for indoctrinating students into mindless sheep. They did this 40 years ago too. There just weren’t as much poverty and damaging laws.
High-performing students go to college (even more corrupted) and get a degree – usually worthless – even the “good” degrees are getting more saturated with stagnant pay. Then they’re off to their debt-slave sheeple life. Take your pick.
May I ask how you make your living?
This makes me want to cry. I recently switched my major from psychology to elementary education.
You’ve more than what it takes to actually help suffering people when they ask you.
I learned more from tears than any major or minor.
And yet you elicit zero emotion as I’m creating a reality in which I’m typing on a keyboard responding to a so called stranger etc.
I wish you could feel this compassion.
Was that a mean or nice statement?
On a trip “back home” last year I was astounded to learn the high-school I attended now has a permanent “satellite” police station with 2 full-time officers, metal detectors at every entrance, full-body scanners at the main entrance, a very high-tech security cam/motion detector system and get this, 2 big-bank “branch offices”. There was NONE of this 5 years ago. Oh, did I mention this is in a remote “up north” town with a population of about 3500?
Reading the local paper confirmed what I suspected: an INSANE amount of various tickets issued at the school. I was told that most of this supposedly came after the county accepted a “Homeland Security” grant from the federal government, which also provided an array of “security cameras” at the local public beaches, parks, playgrounds and various city streets. The town also passed a law requiring a security camera that is linked to the sheriffs department in ANY establishment that serves alcohol.
What bothers me the most is the sort of activity mentioned by Michael and myself is quietly happening all over the country without national awareness. Sadly, I think the time to reverse this sort of totalitarianism has passed.
It is spreading everywhere, eh?
Michael
Over-reaching government was a deciding factor in our move from that area. I had a 1962 Chevy Bel-Air given to me by my grandfather that was stored under a car cover, behind a solid fence, and COMPLETELY out of public site. It was going to be a project for me and the kids when they got a little older. We lived on over 2 acres, on a dirt road, outside the city limits and we were friends with the few neighbors we had. I received a letter in the mail from the county stating I had 30 days to get the “abandoned” vehicle out of my yard or face fines up to $117 a day for every day not in compliance. I about flipped. Upon contacting a county official I learned that I wasn’t being “singled out”, this was a county wide “crackdown” on “unsightly debris”. When I explained there was no possible way that the car was visible to ANYONE, I was informed the county was using “satellite imagery” for enforcement.
However, they were “gracious” enough to give me 3 options: 1) Get rid of the vehicle 2) Get the vehicle in running condition and license and insure it or 3) Build an extra garage to store it in. (Of course contingent upon the county’s approval, paid permits, fees, inspections, etc….)
We ended up storing it in our 2-car garage with my truck sitting outside until we sold our home and moved.
Thanks for sharing that story. It is that kind of thing that shows how ridiculous our country is getting.
Michael
It would greatly facilitate the informed choices of others, if you actually identified the state, county and town where this took place, rather than simply refer to “back home”. How can people persuade others either by reasoned logic or negative Social Preferencing (withdrawal of voluntary association) if the identities of people, areas and businesses are concealed when describing negatives about them.
My goal is not to persuade or facilitate any preconceived notions regarding people, areas or businesses, but to share my personal experiences in the context of society as a whole. I believe singling out a particular entity will not have an effect on the situation, but may in fact make me the target of undeserved scrutiny and malice from those who may have a different opinion of said entity. However, for arguments sake, the area in question is northern Wisconsin.
The schools in the rural area where we live have not tried to solve their problems with the police. This might be because with cut backs in county spending the schools have to fix their own problems. So many folks have guns and hunting and fishing is a huge pastime for so many around here that we don’t freak out about seeing a gun.
we used to have kids bring hunting rifles for after school hunting,etc..
I never went to a school with a cop stationed there.
Now they have SRO in grade schools……
and forget that hunting rifle, now a butter knife is apparently a terrorist threat….
There are two sides of this coin . The other side is that for a teacher to verbally warn a student of wrongdoing can and will get the student or his or her parents to “Lawyer Up” meaning the teacher has to go to court and defend themselves for trying to get little johnny or jane to pay attention in class . So why bother ! As a teacher do you want to spend your time in a court room or a classroom ?
I have two kids and I told my wife we are homeschooling them, and this had led to some disagreements about this. I am going to show her this web page and I think she will see it differently.
Hopefully it will John.
May your conversation with your wife be blessed.
Michael
They are conditioning a future generation to comply. When they are older an authority figure will tell them to move left and like a trained animal they will do as their told without thinking. These compliant people will be incorporated into the system.
I think segments of the population that are too difficult to train will not be incorporated into the system and who knows what their fate will be.
I am so glad I never had children. Who in their right mind would want to bring a child into this screwed up world anyways? No thanks.
I’ve met young women who bear children in order to facilitate an income source such as WIC etc . .
Perhaps this ensures a continued supply of fresh meat for the process were discussing here.
I really hope I’m wrong about this.
Hope that helps answer your question.
It comes in handy if one remembers what the U.S. public schools, based on the Prussian model, are really for. They are preparing our young people to be good soldiers, and if one, for one reason or another, can’t be a soldier, then that one can be a good worker drone in some support of the “War” effort. Those who do not belong to either of these two groups will be culled from the herd.

“They Are Coming For The Children”
http://olgreyghost.blogspot.com/2009/07/they-are-coming-for-children.html
I mostly went to parochial schools, except for 2.5 years where I went to public. The public schools were TERRIBLE (this is in the ’60′s). No discipline, drugs and gangs were rife. The classes were not mentally challenging.
Today, if I had children, I would homeschool them. The system is too corrupt.
I only did 2 yrs, 11th and 12th grade, in public school, as the Catholic school in my area was too liberal in theology.
That said, a big change, but, not as bad as now in the least……again, public HS and no cop stationed there……thankfully, I had a good strong foundation prior to being forced by modernists to attend a Govt school…..homeschooling or other options the only real ones now….
“And I wish that, in these troubled times, in this degenerate urban atmosphere in which we are living, that you return to the land whenever possible. The land is healthy; the land teaches one to know God; the land draws one to God; it calms temperaments, characters, and encourages the children to work.
And if it is necessary, yes, you yourselves will make the school for your children. If the schools should corrupt your children, what are you going to do? Deliver them to the corrupters? To those who teach these abominable sexual practices in the schools? To the so-called “Catholic” schools run by religious men and women where they simply teach sin? In reality that is what they are teaching to the children: they corrupt them from their tenderest youth. Are you to put up with that? It is inconceivable! Rather that your children be poor—that they be removed from this apparent science that the world possesses—but that they be good children, Christian children, Catholic children, who love their holy religion, who love to pray, and who love to work; children who love the earth which the Good God has made. ”

The saddest part of this whole thing is the comment made by Tim Hefner – this mentality contributes to the perceived need for a police state.
Elliot Wigginton wrote an article on the similarities between schools and prisons, probably 10-12 years ago. Published, I believe, in Educational Leadership.
This reader feels that the authors should have proposed solutions along with citing all of the problems. The article also needs more details from all of these stories; it seems that the editors only present certain information supporting their case. Many modern parents and teachers probably lack the necessary training to best help children to maximaize their potential as students and citizens. Mandatory, quality martial arts training in all schools and workplaces could help everyone to learn and exercise respect for law and order and each other. Requiring students to pass the Dale Carnegie “How to Win Friends and Influence People” course from 1st through 12th grades might also help in this area. It could also be a good idea to strictly follow the societal structure outlined in the film “Starship Troopers” (if the excessive violence, gratuitous nudity, and bad acting can be excused, then this work presents a viable model for a functional and effective fascist utopia).
WHAT’S TO COMPLAIN ABOUT? ISN’T THIS WHAT RIGHTWINGERS, ESPECIALLY THE LUNATIC FACTIONS IN TEXAS HAVE ALWAYS WANTED, FOR THE GOVERNMENT AND ITS BLOODY BAND OF CRIMINAL ENFORCERS TO BE TOUGH ON CRIME AND CRIMINALS??::
Sorry to burst the bubble, but the public schools are working exactly as they are intended to work. They are designed to produce the following two classes of drone:
1. Drone A: Worker Drones: They have only three words on the brain: Yes, Sir, and Ma’am, they can and will follow orders to the letter without hesitation (even if it means beating, tasering, and killing other human beings with predator drones, etc.) and will do whatever activities (whether sitting in a cubicle or out in the fields) they are told to do without any questions whatsoever.
2. Drone B: Prison Drones: These are people who can not function in general society at any level. They are therefore shuttled in and out of the prison/corrections system their entire lives and they know nothing else but criminality, despair, and utter hopelessness.
For all you suburban soccer moms and hang ‘em high white males whose kids are being jacked up and strung up in this madness, remember, the government is merely giving you what you always wanted………….
And lets see….you and the other libertards gave us Attention Deficit Disorder because there really are no “bad” kids. And when Johnny lashes out, he should not be corrected. Instead, we should have him psycho-analyzed. And when a kid does truly is wrong, we shouldn’t blame him because society made him do it….BLAH BLAH BLAH….
Reed…the funny thing is, you’re too ignorant to realize that its coming from all sides. You continue to think that yours is the righteous way yet yours is part of the problem.
Wake Up!
Joe Walsh,
SPEAKING OF SELF RIGHTEOUS STUPIDITY:
Must be one of those braindead hang ‘em high white males who wouldn’t mind some TSA pedophile groping your wife and kids or you never saw a lynching you didn’t like. Well, news flash for ya pal, the police state doesn’t play favories. You can side with the control freaks thinking that you are “one of them” and that the heavy hand of state criminality won’t touch you, but you are dead wrong. In as much as you would like to be one of the power elite, you are not and never will be. Just make sure that when your head gets cracked open by the dreaded nightstick that you have plenty of bandages on hand…………
Oh…and let me guess Reed….you’re a racist black man? I mean, the reference to “hang ‘em high white males” sums it up.
And you too were “disadvantaged” as a child, so the world owes you.
Pretty good summary, huh?
Get a job and stop blaming everyone else for your problems. The problem is you!
You have never been fishing before because with that childish bait you couldn’t catch STDs in a brothel…………..
Let’s just say I travel quite a bit and I have run into far too many of us who think police brutality and “law and order” is for the “other” and not us……..
REED RICHARDS: You’re absolutely right: Americans who espouse authoritarianism don’t like authoritarianism so much when the jackbooted thugs of the police state come after them. Benjamin Franklin famously said that those who would trade liberty for security deserve neither, and Boobus America (to borrow a phrase from Philly’s late great Libertarian talk show host Irv Homer) will get neither.
Here in Philly, I know a dude I would characterize as a former neocon Republican turned staunch Libertarian. He used to have a very authoritarian bent—loved the War on Drugs, thought the LAPD didn’t beat Rodney King hard enough, wanted to expand the death penalty, wanted to build more prisons, hated Ron Paul, thought Amadou Diallo got exactly what he deserved. Ah, but that was before taking a trip to Boston and getting pulled over by la policía for about 30 minutes. The cops didn’t rough him up, didn’t handcuff him, didn’t even pull him out of the car or frisk him. But the fact that they held on to his driver’s license for a half hour or so while checking him out scared the living hell out of him. Well, after that incident, the dude’s politics changed dramatically—and I do mean dramatically. He is now a strong Ron Paul supporter, favors drug legalization, rails against the Prison/Industrial Complex, is scared to death of the Patriot Act (rightly so), and rails against the TSA thugs at airports. Now, he realizes that neocons are not really neo-conservatives—they’re neo-fascists—and he understands that true Goldwater conservatives (as opposed to neocons) believe in constitutional liberties, checks and balances and all the other things that neocons (and the spineless Democraps who cave into them) oppose.
But many of these yahoos who are cheering on the police state will have to learn the hard way, I’m afraid. And they won’t think that fascism is so wonderful when they’re the ones getting their teeth knocked out with a nightstick.
The fear of God is the beginning of knowledge.
The fear of God is the beginning of understanding.
The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom.
We have removed the fear, the reverence and the awe of God from our schools; no Bibles and no prayers.
Now we have to replace the fear of God with something else; the fear of the police/state.
No God, no meaning to life.
Know God, know meaning to life.
You shouldn’t have to fear God to understand the higher power. Fear is what the churches use to bring their cattle in (corruption). God is about love and peace.
It’s sounds like you don’t understand the value of fear. The fear of God is the beginning, not the end. It’s the starting place that leads to His holy throne (where I am seated with Him) with full access to all He is, including His love and peace. Because I fear God, I don’t fear anything else.
D….To fear God means to revere him,
Ok, I propose a compromise to pacify the squabbling here:
We vote to fire all the bad teachers and invite GOD to manifest in each of the vacant positions.
If I take my grandson to school and GOD decides it’s not worth her while to show up for her noble duty then we get to go fishing till she does
Some things are just so simple
The boy touched a girl on the leg playing tag, now is a sexual offender.
Parents need to spend more time talking to there kids. We can’t expect government or congress to raise our kids and teach them right and wrong. More time needs to be spent on teaching kids how to make good long term decisions, that life is not a free for all. We need to teach our children discipline and how to take positive action in life.
I’ve worked as a substitute teacher for several years, and while kids act out more with a substitute. I would say that most kids are willing to behave, and learn. But there are always one or two who use any excuse to subvert the classroom into a competition for attention. It’s very difficult to teach what’s on the lesson plan left by the absent teacher when that happens. I’ve taken assignments to teach band, choir, and shop. Which most substitutes refuse to take because of the size of the classes, and the fact that there’s more opportunity for the kids to misbehave. Some of the schools have had law enforcement officers who are present in the school at all times, and interestingly these schools have been the ones that have been the most difficult to substitute in. But I have to add there are schools that seem to promote the attitude that their students are special. The creme Dela creme as one teacher put it several times, and that was a nightmare to be at. Not because of the kids, but because of the antics of the teachers. Teachers are now being scrutinized more than ever, and having to present their lessons in a prescribed manner which is no longer teaching, but regurgitation. This shouldn’t be confused with teaching. The administrators seem to have forgotten that teaching is an individual thing for each student, and all students don’t learn the same way.
I attended a PUBLIC grammar-school and a PRIVATE high-school.
It was like night vs. day…(and in that order just in case you attended the former & didn’t know how to associate my analogy).
From my experiences the bar to be a police officer is pretty low. I do not think that some of these people could get a job at McDonalds.
The officers I know would agree with me. They say that about 1/2 of the cops are lazy and low quality and get upset at them for giving all the police a bad reputation. The need to do a better job of policing (pun) themselves.
Right on Gary, for once I don’t think you’ll see much objection to your post.
I kid, but you are exactly right on this one. The town I mentioned in the post above suffers from this very problem. The majority of the new hires for the city are 19-20 year old local kids who took their police training right out high school. Out of 15 full-time officers, 9 of them are under age 25. I personally know at least 2 of them still live with their parents, never having moved out. Which really makes me question: How are they supposed to make on-the-job decisions regarding civil matters? They have absolutely no idea on how the real world operates. The county police, stationed in the same town, are a pretty decent bunch that thinks the city boys are a joke.
So yes, I completely agree there needs to be a MUCH higher standard when it comes to law enforcement.
Having been busted by the teacher for writing on a desk myself (31 years ago). The teacher sent me to the workshop to get some sand paper and varnish and then had me fix up 6 desks
Right on, whoisbiggies! In earlier years, our schools were self-discipling, and serious problems were very few & far between! I was paddled when in the 3rd grade, and realized that I deserved it. No complaints about teachers or principals from this old Salt.
Reed youre totally right! School is just made for little robots to be good little wage slaves for the elite. No independent thinking allowed! Govt. is good govt. is great all must bow down to thee!
Cinderella Man,
And the sad part is that the parents go along with this without even the slightest questioning of it……..
Things like this only happen when you let it. The American people should take some blame in this as they let it happen over and over again. Just keep letting the government make all your decisions for you, pretend your free, eat your corn flakes and spend your currency that says on it “This note is legal tender for all DEBTS, public and private”. Oh America….. You make me laugh.
People get the government they deserve. Where is the parent’s outrage? Where is the father’s anger that some freak is touching his kid? We are a nation of cowards and the kids are learning that they have no “backup” or posse to help them.
If someone did that to my kids I’d be kicking some ass be it a cop or teacher. Don’t whine, do something.
Frank,
Now you’re talking! There is no parent anywhere, if they can help it, that should stand idly by and watch gangsters with guns and badges running amok in schools tasering and arresting five year olds and hog tieing them. Just as buffoons like joe walsh above who think that kids spraying themselves with perfume should obviously get the Roscoe P. Coltrane treatment and be cuffed and stuffed, it’s long past time for parents to take a stand and demand that the militarization of the schools be ended, and NOW!
HIGH SCHOOL — 1957 vs. 2010
Scenario 1:
Jack goes duck hunting before school and then pulls into the school parking lot with his shotgun in his truck’s gun rack.
1957 – Vice Principal comes over, looks at Jack’s shotgun, goes to his car and gets his shotgun to show Jack.
2010 – School goes into lock down, FBI called, Jack hauled off to jail and never sees his truck or gun again. Counselors called in for traumatized students and teachers.
Scenario 2:
Johnny and Mark get into a fist fight after school.
1957 – Crowd gathers. Mark wins. Johnny and Mark shake hands and end up buddies.
2010 – Police called and SWAT team arrives — they arrest both Johnny and Mark. They are both charged with assault and both expelled even though Johnny started it.
Scenario 3:
Jeffrey will not be still in class, he disrupts other students.
1957 – Jeffrey sent to the Principal’s office and given a good paddling by the Principal. He then returns to class, sits still and does not disrupt class again.

Scenario 4:
Billy breaks a window in his neighbour’s car and his Dad gives him a whipping with his belt.
1957 – Billy is more careful next time, grows up normal, goes to college and becomes a successful businessman.
2010 – Billy’s dad is arrested for child abuse, Billy is removed to foster care and joins a gang. The state psychologist is told by Billy’s sister that she remembers being abused herself and their dad goes to prison. Billy’s mom has an affair with the psychologist.
Scenario 5:
Mark gets a headache and takes some aspirin to school.
1957 – Mark shares his aspirin with the Principal out on the smoking dock.
2010 – The police are called and Mark is expelled from school for drug violations. His car is then searched for drugs and weapons.
Scenario 6:
Pedro fails high school English.
1957 – Pedro goes to summer school, passes English and goes to college.
2010 – Pedro’s cause is taken up by state. Newspaper articles appear nationally explaining that teaching English as a requirement for graduation is racist. ACLU files class action lawsuit against the state school system and Pedro’s English teacher. English is then banned from core curriculum. Pedro is given his diploma anyway but ends up mowing lawns for aliving because he cannot speak English.
Scenario 7:
Johnny takes apart leftover firecrackers from the Fourth of July, puts them in a model airplane paint bottle and blows up a red ant bed.
1957 – Ants die.
2010 – ATF, Homeland Security and the FBI are all called. Johnny is charged with domestic terrorism. The FBI investigates his parents – and all siblings are removed from their home and all computers are confiscated. Johnny’s dad is placed on a terror watch list and is never allowed to fly again.
Scenario 8:
Johnny falls while running during recess and scrapes his knee. He is found crying by his teacher, Mary. Mary hugs him to comfort him.
1957 – In a short time, Johnny feels better and goes on playing.
2010 – Mary is accused of being a sexual predator and loses her job. She faces 3 years in State Prison. Johnny undergoes 5 years of therapy.
Joe,
That was really entertaining, haha and there was a lot of truth to your analogies.
Excellent analysis Joe. The first time I read it I was chuckling, by the third read through I found myself kind of sad and frustrated.

She is a freelance writer and has had articles published in Human Events, The Washington Times, The Bangor Daily News, and included in the record of Congressional hearings
The above…sad but true. This is what we have become…and its certainly not for the better.
A WHISTLE-BLOWER’S ACCOUNT
Charlotte Thomson Iserbyt, former Senior Policy Advisor in the U.S. Department of Education, blew the whistle in the `80s on government activities withheld from the public. Her inside knowledge will help you protect your children from controversial methods and programs. In this book you will discover:
-how good teachers across America have been forced to use controversial, non-academic me
-how “school choice” is being used to further dangerous reform goals, and how home schooling and private education are especially vulnerable.
-how workforce training (school-to-work) is an essential part of an overall plan for a global economy, and how this plan will short circuit your child’s future career plans and opportunities.
-how the international, national, regional, state and local agendas for education reform are all interconnected and have been for decades.
A CHRONOLOGICAL PAPER TRAIL
the deliberate dumbing down of America is a chronological history of the past 100+ years of education reform. Each chapter takes a period of history and recounts the significant events, including important geopolitical and societal contextual information. Citations from government plans, policy documents, and key writings by leading reformers record the rise of the modern education reform movement. Americans of all ages will welcome this riveting expose of what really happened to what was once the finest education system in the world.
Readers will appreciate the user-friendliness of this chronological history designed for the average reader not just the academician. This book will be used by citizens at public hearings, board meetings, or for easy presentation to elected officials.
Publication of the deliberate dumbing down of America is certain to add fuel to the fire in this nation’s phonics wars. Iserbyt provides documentation that Direct Instruction, the latest education reform fad in the classroom, is being institutionalized under the guise of “traditional” phonics thanks to the passage of the unconstitutional Reading Excellence Act of 1998.
Read “The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America” by Charlotte Iserbyt (Conscience Press). She has it figured out. None of this is a coincidence.
I taught in public schools for three years. When we had kids, I decided to home school. In those three short years, teaching in schools that were in the papers for being “excellent” and “model schools,” I witnessed far too many things that turned my stomach and convinced me that there was no way I would subject my children to a public school setting. My kids have never been in a public school, and as long as I am alive, they never will be.
Well, I used to work for a charter school in Ohio and I will say that the system is screwed up beyond recognition. But we have been conditioned to accept it as normal.I will give you an event that happens and has happened to me on two occasions that is one of the problems in schools including college. While teaching in the Charter school I was approached by Public school attorneys and told that it is mandatory that I give all black children passing grades whether they earn it or not. Meaning NO “F” grades at all even though they deserved it. While in college some years before this incident a professor and another colleague
while we turned in written test , he showed us three papers , one barely legible, and two that looked like something that a kindergarten student would write. But one stood out more than the others and it looked like an EKG read out or simply strait lines with high and low bumps. We were amazed at what we were looking at and the professor asked us what grade would we give them for this test. We both replied and F. He said he couldn’t and still couldn’t if they have turned in no paper at all. We asked “why”? He replied that under law he must give them a passing grade because they are black. I said what would you give me if I turned in a paper like that and he state an “F”! I said WHY? He said because I can and will because you would have deserved it.
Now the problem here is diversity is destroying our students were they are forced to accept another s heritage as their own and supplement all that they truly are with that of another race. We have laws that give others benefits over those that truly try to do their best and when they see the one they know as a moron , one they follow, get a passing grade of a D they are defeated because they got the F. Another big thing in American schools is that no matter how much a student tries and is doing good. The teachers if they don’t like a student for whatever reason, perhaps the Teacher knows the students parents and resent them so they use the student as a tool against the parents. Perhaps the teachers dislikes the student for whatever reason , that teacher can manipulate the grade to punish the student. Most often if a teacher has problems with he student that teacher becomes the biggest stumbling block or threat to the student and his true potential grade. The teacher alone can steer the student into failure or passing , they have that power and with a few physiological remarks ,looks and actions, that teaching can destroy the child to his/her satisfaction, and they know it.Even I knew this but refused to treat the unlikable kid any different than other students.
The fact that schools are handing out color coded tags such as red is bad ,yellow a warning, and green as doing good. Now the problem with that is the student, once labeled becomes unable to perform to his highest degree because he is already labeled. Once a yellow or a reed is given to the student he/she becomes branded and is no longer functional due to the stigmatization. This to me is counter productive and is not the original way students were handled in my day. This is paramount to all Jews wearing a star on their chest so they would stand out. And often, students are teased and if a teachers pet is involved and does not receive the same treatment the punished student see’s the discrimination even if he/she is only 5 to 9 years old . Yes this does happen in Ohio schools, and colleges. Yes Teachers have a whole bag of tricks up their sleeves to make the student they don’t like fail.
One student I know was called “retard” by a teacher each and every day because he had Touretes Syndrome , a nervous tick that gives involuntary face grimacing or movements. This teacher was confronted and the NTA offered to come in and teach the teachers about Touretes Patients but the school refused as did the teacher. It didn’t stop until the parents pulled their child out of school into a Charter School where they learned at a superior rate.
The end result is that the public school system is broken . Broken in decency, honor and the desire to teach. They are more interested in their pensions and more money at tax payers expense than teaching. The last election they touted that the new mil raise in our taxes were for the children but it was really for their pensions and more pay. The Ohio voters in this particular town did not buy it. Now their really pissed at us!
@caleb cagwin
thats funny you said that.. websites like this will probably cease to exist if SOPA, PIPA pass.
Maybe we need to go back to the way it used to be and only send the children that want to learn. If a child really wants to learn then there is no way you can stop them! If a child does not want to learn then there is no way to force them.
OR
We could put cops in every classroom, drug the children so they are semi-comatose and…oh, what a minute.. that’s what we are doing anyway!
I am a teacher. Luckily I come from a more objective perspective than most teachers and administrators who are indoctrinated by all of the nonsense that is taught in the Education Curriculum. I have not seen anything as bad as you describe in your article, more than likely due to the fact that I teach in smaller semi-rural community in VA, but I do agree our schools are becoming more like prisons or indoctrination centers than schools. I always try to go out of my way not use the text books are other crap the state wants. I use my brain practical application to the real world, and primary sources to teach. I also put great emphasis on Natural Rights, John Locke, Adam Smith, James Madison, Thomas Jefferson, Patrick Henry, George Washington, the Constitution, sound money, and abolition of the FED . Lucky for me I teach US/VA Government, so no one can say anything. “The truth will set you free–But first it will piss you off.” (Steinem) “The important thing is to not stop questioning.” (Einstein)
The article asks: “So is there much hope that our schools can be turned around?” My answer is no, not till the parents are “turned around”. If parents would take the time to be parents and teach their children to grow up with morals and respect of others and took the time to visit the school and see for themselves what is going on, then the schools might be turned around.
Private schools have been mentioned as an alternative. We were fortunate enough to homeschool our daughter.
I was a teacher for 27 years until my retirement. Teachers hands are pretty well tied when it comes to discipline. It depends on the school system and their rules and regulations(and insurance policies). One thing I learned was, every parent wants strict discipline for every child…except their own. Corporal punishment was eliminated when the insurance policy became too expensive. Our behavior standards began to be affected by this. It is unfortunate that the real losers in this are the children, because it is difficult to learn in a chaotic situation, or where the teacher is dealing with behavior problems created by difficult students.
I suggest the teachers look on the arrest issue a little differently.
Every child arrested has parents. Those parents vote for or against tax revenues that support schools. Guess where my vote would go. A lot of children also have two or more sets of grandparents. These people also vote.
Enough offended parents and you have a bankrupt school system. I also noticed Texas involved in a lot of these cases. That spells government involved in how it was handled.
This is the exact reason I will be doing homeschooling…
Schools have never taught and will never teach critical thinking skills. Most people do not have critical thinking skills. Learning to think is very difficult when you become an adult and most people have children before they learn to think.
If a majority of adults could think, there would be no “reality TV”, football would just be entertainment not a winter lifestyle, every level of the current government would be extinct, and schools would be nothing like they are today. The churches would be gone. Wars would be a thing of the past. Children would be raised better. At least one parent would stay home to raise his child(ren). Luckily for the rulers, we can’t/don’t think.
A lot of this is out of hand but some has merit.
I would have liked a cop in HS back in the early / mid 1970s when I had to get very crafty avoiding gangs that extorted lunch money.
Interesting that a lot of those junior criminals ended up attending very prestigious institutions in NJ like Trenton State and Rahway.
I am sending the link to this story to several friends and colleagues in the Czech Republic. I am asking them if this ever happened in their country between 1939-1989.
Here is my solution: I define investment as risking your direct effort and involvement in an enterprise for the long-term. Anything else is speculation.
Investing in the United States of America is like planting an orange tree outdoors in Greenland in October. You should not risk your money and life in a nation of narcissists and psychopaths. Invest no further in America, and furthermore, do what you can to get your money and resources out of that nation.
Let that nation go to its deserved fate.
When I was in 1st grade I had a teacher that was in the 1st or 2nd year of her teaching career. I realized years later she was one of the first waves of teachers that had been indoctrinated with theoretical progressive crap and not solid facts. We had a semicircle of chairs for some aspect of the class and rather then go around; I crawled under the desk to get to my seat. Well, she tied a length of gauze around my neck like a collar and chain because I had crawled like a dog. I never forgot it and still hate her to this day for it. From 1st grade through high school, I lived in a time when many boys carried pocket knives and had hunting rifles and shotguns in their cars in the school parking lot. Many of us were knowledgeable in explosives use and even manufacture. But, no one ever got shot, stabbed or blown up. To get kicked out of school you had do something stupid like getting caught smoking in the john or drunk in class. We had the discipline, what we did not have by this point in time was sound education. So, I decided my children would all be home-schooled, and they were. My mother was a school teacher and she agreed. My wife had been a school teacher and she did most of the home-schooling. And during the school day if they wanted to go hunting during recess they could. Now, with the police state and the things they are arresting these children for, if I never forgot what that 1st grade teacher did to me, think what these kids are going to do. If we have a revolution, and we probably will, they will be crucifying cops on telephone poles with ring-shank pole barn nails.
From ‘our’ side of the fence – it all looks ‘broken’. The economy is in the toilet. The legislature is irrelevant and side-lined – recently neutered by Obama’s new Czar system. Oil, drugs, vaccines, and GMO’s are inescapable Govmint institutions, the MSM is but a corporate fraternity of strangers to the truth, and our educational system has produced ‘voters’ about the elect Obama a second time. We think: “It’s totally broken.”
We should understand however, that the few men who sit and the helm of this formerly-great vessel of freedom, don’t think it is broken at all! If you ask one of them about ‘change’ – they will respond: “Don’t touch those dials! It’s working just the way WE want it to work.” Like gods, they tell us: “Our ways are not your ways.”
Wake up, America. The alarm clock went off two to three generations ago. Try acting and thinking like a Sovereign human being. Or get ready to get on the cart. (Monty Python reference)
Our Public Officials/Employees have over stepped their authority and have dishonored their Oath to the people. There is but one Law; the Law of the Land. Everything else is codes, rules, regulations, or guidelines that our Public Officials/Employees are to use with common sense. Very few think for themselves, there lies the problem!
Lost cause.
@Joe Walsh, it seems your a new member of our happy family and youre probably not the cool Joe Walsh from the Eagles, so before you go dissing Reed Richards maybe you should actually READ what he says. Reed is not a liberal by any means, he hates both parties just like I do.
This entire article is extreemist! My children go to public school and I would absolutely NEVER consider sending them to Private School! I pay very high taxes & my school district reflects it in the programs & extras that they offer! Perhaps you all should consider saving the money you are laying out for Private School in Addition to your taxes and move to a better district!!!!!
As for children who are dicipline problems…take a look at the parents! It is very convenient to use a few examples, and an incomplete story at that, to further a cause. Our Newspapers & other Media has been doing this for years! Why bring anything possitive to light, it is much more effective to control people with fear. Heads up people, time to start thinking for yourselves!!!
One of the supreme ironies is that this very web site has on its masthead the following: “And Getting Them To Realize That The American Dream Is Quickly Becoming The American Nightmare”. The problem here is in its choice of words. For example… “quickly becoming”. This is the usual sort of thinking along the lines of “slippery slope”. If you haven’t already realized it IS already a nightmare then all you’re doing is playing your part in being the frog who gets boiled. There is no “becoming” because it already IS. This reminds me of public school teachers who rail about how little Johnny is a terror and his parents are to blame for not instilling “values” or some other rot gut excuse. How ironic seeing as the very system that produced his parents is now saying his parents are “defective”. What they admit, without realizing it, is that they failed in inculcating anything into the parents and now blame their own handiwork. It’s Dr. Frankenstein blaming his creation for its existence! Talk about turning things upside down. That’s why I feel if you have the means and ability then home school or find someplace where they are too poor, and that doesn’t mean moving to the ghetto, to screw with you. This forces them to focus what resources they have on where its necessary. Best to get out of the system altogether because if it doesn’t chew you up physically it will maul you mentally.
Political Correctness run amok…
When I started in law enforcement in the 70′s cops had much more discretion and it would seem common sense….
When I stopped someone suspected of driving under the influence, I would call a cab and send him home…Along comes MADD, and laws are passed, and the suspected DUI can’t be sent home, but MUST be arrested…
In the 70s, when I would go to a domestic disturbance, if there were no obvious signs of violence we would talk to both spouses and that would be that….enter NOW and other “rights” groups, many new laws were passed. Now even with no signs of violence, if someone suggests the other party threatened or was “mean” the officer has no discretion and must arrest…even if the “victim” spouse doesn’t want the other spouse arrested…No choice…
By the late 90s, we could not find enough qualified people to be officers (thanks to the public school systems) and we would pre-hire people to teach them and bring their reading & writing skills up to a minimum 10th grade level…..Unfortunately, you cannot teach common sense, you either have it or you don’t.
One size fits all government solutions in lieu of common sense leads to what is happening now.
“Of course very few people would deny that the character of American schoolchildren has changed dramatically over the decades.”
Do you have anything to back this up? What is “character” in this instance? Saying “Very few people would deny” is using “weasel words” to make an assertion that you aren’t backing with any real facts.
“Back in the 1950s, some of the biggest school discipline problems were gum chewing and hair pulling.”
I seem to remember this being passed around Congress for their speeches back in the 90′s. I think a staffer simply made it up. The biggest school problems in the Fifties were not gum chewing and hair pulling. Again, you don’t back this up with anything., and I don’t think it’s true.
“Today, kids bring knives, guns and drugs with them to school. Gang activity is rampant in many of our schools and in some schools kids are even having sex in the school bathrooms.”
And this is different from the 60′s, the 70′s, the 80′s? How about the 30′s and 40′s? Haven’t there always been knives, drugs, and bad kids? Am I supposed to assume that “of course it’s SO MUCH WORSE NOW?”
I originally liked this website, but the article has a fear mongering tone with hysterical “Hell in a hand basket” style opinions written as though they are fact.
Perhaps these problems existed, but gangs were a statistically small problem 50-70 years ago. I’ve known folks who were trusted to bring firearms to class only 30 years ago and go hunting afterwards with no problems. I don’t think the police manned school entrances back then, nor do I remember hearing about kids being arrested for farting or wetting themselves or hugging each other or any of the other insane reasons. I would be tempted to guess the first examples of police guarding schools may have been when folks were fighting over integrating them…
Also, back in those earlier days you mentioned, education was still considered something to be desired. You wanted to learn. Or you could leave and go look for work. Or work on the farm, as many kids did for the warmer months of the year. I had a relative who actually ran away to join the circus during the Depression. And Red Skelton talked about how he left school as a kid to look for work because he was too hungry to learn.
FloO
Your understanding of this subject is low. I worked in the court system and constantky heard case after case concerning this subject. You couldnt be mor ewrong in what you say.It is so rediculous to see an eight year old female being escorted to court by a three hundered pound deputy for some real crime like having an asprin in her lunch bag. im here to tell you that the schools are indeed out of control with the almost marshall law state of affairs today. God help us now in this country. We certainly cannot and dont know how to correct this problem we created.
My hometown middle school has now been turned into a alternative school for grades 6-8 (for troubled kids) the other kids have been moved to an elementary school. This is not a minority thing this is a repression thing and we need to fight for our kids, become better roll models ourselves. We can do more to help out the schools and students to avoid police involvement. Anyone can attend a PTA meeting, that’s a start at least. It is obvious that it has gotten totally out of hand. We have more problems with police over reacting with our kids than we do a terrorist! What happened to innocent until proven guilty?
I would rather not let my kid get anywhere near a gov’t school. They suck for a reason.
Read John Gatto’s, Underground History of American Education, here free of charge!
http://www.johntaylorgatto.com/chapters/
Gatto explains the truth about the system he worked in for 30 years. Gov’t schools, by design, are only supposed to teach your kid to be just smart enough to function as an employee for someone who went to a private school. They’re not for education, just babysitting, indoctrination, and stifling creativity and thought.
I first experienced (11th grade) public indoctrination beginning in 1975 after spending 10 years in private schools.
Nothing has changed at all, as far as public indoctrination goes, since then. Nothing has changed at all. Nothing has changed at all.
Such mass brainwashing merely evolved from doobs in the parking lot to prescribed medications. From Zeppelin and ZZ top to whatever control vibes get rammed into kids ears today. Pop culture went from 8 track to devices but with the same effect. Mass distraction and indoctrination into a subservient meme worshiping “life”.
Nothing has changed, just evolved in due course as expected.
And common sense isn’t taught anywhere in America to adults or children obviously.
Where are the men? Have the fathers of these children been neutered?
This will not stop until the fathers in the neighborhood band together, walk down to city hall, and tell them emphatically; give us the officers and the school officials.
If you’ve been led to believe that we are in the middle of a peaceful revolution, or there is a chance to have one, take time to learn from history. There has never actually been a peaceful one, nor can you have one if one side has a monopoly of force. The most glaring misrepresentation is Gandhi in India where thousands were murdered, and the country was left in desparation for decades.
men are not allowed to be men anymore .. imprisonment is the penalty for being a man
My 14yr old Daughter first year in High School @ TL Hanna in Anderson South Carolina was a disaster her 2nd week of school! She was suspended for 5 days for having a pacifier on her school badge. Mind you they were passed out by the Senior Class for Baby drop of day on a Friday! The following week she wore it around her neck for an entire week and nothing was never said to her or any other student until that Friday AFTER school let out and she was walking to meet a friend to catch a ride home. A counselor stopped her and said you can not get on the bus with that pacifier around your neck and she replyed im not riding the bus im riding with a friend and she said “my daughter” I will take it off and will not wear it anymore. So my daughter proceeds to walk off to catch her ride and the 11th and 12th grade Asst.Principal who comes outta no where who didnt even hear conversation between my daughter and counselor grabs my daughter by her book bag and jerks her back…mind you my daughter 14…4’7…98lbs and gets in her face yelling to the top of his lungs telling her shes gonna take that pacifier off now!!! So as she goes to grab it to take it off evidently she wasnt moving fast enough for him and he grabbed her by her arm and jerked her hand down and he snatched her entire badge from around her neck. And told her when she returned to school to report to the office! So when she returned to school that next week she went to her 9th grade counselor she spoke with my daughter gave her the badge and told her to go to class. 20min after her reporting to class they called her back down to office and told her she was suspended for 5 days for being DEFIANT!! This was done to a child who is an “A”-”B” honor roll student she made Principal List has been playing the Violin since 2nd grade Played in the All County Orchestra here in Anderson and so on. She WAS a very out going child and student and what they put her through her first year of High School was TOTALLY uncalled for!!
Hmmmm I didn’t know they let pigs on the school grounds.
Someone needs to call the animal catcher immediately.
I am glad my boys have all grown out of elementary and high school, there would be definitely fewer teeth in both women and mens mouths if they yelled at my child.
The pigs are being trained and paid for their uncivility.
They will learn their lesson just as the children are learning theirs.
I’m sorry for your little girls and yours heartache.
I wear a pacifier around my neck for no reason at all and I dont get in trouble. I’m a fifteen year old girl and a freshman in high-school. Tell your daughter that if anyone yells at her at school again for something as stupid as that to be as defiant as she can be. She was not treated fairly. No one should be treated that way. Ever. Sadistic pigs….
Christina, I once received a phone call one afternoon at home from some counselors at my daughters high school who proceeded to tell me that they were questioning my girl about some CANDY she may or may not have given to some other girl (who evidently didn’t have a problem taking the stuff in the first place) and that it may have given her an allergic reaction etc. etc. etc. It was so surreal I thought it had to have been written in Hollywood. I kept saying to myself, “What the hell are these clowns carrying on about?!”. They seemed hell bent on turning the most minor of things into nonsensical issues. Why worry about the idiocy in the students when the staff exhibit signs of psychosis!
This is not an article; it’s nothing more than a propaganda piece. By presenting a dozen or so little one-sided snippets of information on a subject, the author is attempting to enrage a feeble-minded audience.
I, too, believe that our law enforcement and criminal justice systems are becoming overbearing. But this one-sided little polemic does nothing to convince me of anything.
ONE is too many
No adult should hurt a child ,physically, mentally or emotionally!
It all has to do with money the school will lose if not teaching the children to respect and fear the hand of the controller.
Just as the scans at the airports.
It is sickening!
Use Your Brain,
Well, you certainly failed to take your own advice on this one, didn’t you? I for one, have been very critical of Michael on some of his articles when I felt it was warranted. In this case, he is on target with his assessment of where things are going, although he does not explain WHY THIS IS HAPPENING. I have explained why on many occasions. Usually middle and upper class whites have fallen sucker to the platitudes of tough on crime from corrupt politicians and police officials who merely wanted an excuse to UNLEASH THE DOGS OF WAR on mostly minority populations. Well, the criminal gangsters with guns and badges are now targeting all of us, and that includes middle class whites, occupy people, students, etc. Sociopaths and psychopaths with guns and badges will target with exteme violence anyone they feel they can successfully get away with said violence. But this goes to what Nick posted when he asks where are the men and fathers during all this?
Use Your Brain, if you take away nothing else then take away this: An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere…………..
POLEMIC? HE LINKED TO THE STORIES SO ONE COULD READ AND DECIDE…….ARE YOU OPPOSED TO THE MANY ARTICLES, NEWS REPORTS, VIDEO SHOWING POLICE RAID DRILLS IN SCHOOL, UN-ANNOUNCED WHERE KIDS ARE A T GUN POINT ROUNDED UP AND SOME WET THEIR PANTS, CRY AND NEED HELP LATER FOR WHAT TO THEM WAS NOT A DRILL, BUT REAL?
USE YOUR BRAIN FOR ONCE……..USEFUL IDIOT.
I know exactly what you mean. In my 12 years of school the only time police were ever called was when someone phoned in a bomb threat. There was never a bomb, just kids calling in for a prank.
Now it’s nothing unusual to read about kids of all ages arrested for everything trivial and not. Why? Because the schools are run by Democrats, and Democrats love big government.
false paradigm alert!!!
No Child Left Behind-does that sound familiar to you at all?
your 12 yrs in school, clearly public schooled….
It might be worth noting that my high school was actually designed by an architect that designs prisons. Now that’s pretty interesting in light of what you just wrote about in your article. In fact, over the summer, my school put in all new security measures. The doors are constantly locked (From the outside of course), and an administrator watches over them from an enclosed office. Interesting huh? I actually happened upon this site while looking for sources outside of the mainstream media. I’m in a class called “modern problems”… Its required to graduate. I think I’ll look around some more.
Every American in this country deserves everything that is happening in what used to be called America the free. For all of you that still think you live in a free country, you better stop what ever your smoking and wake the hell up! Communist America is too mild a word to use. The last of the communist countries don’t even treat their people and children the way our government treats their people. Nazi Germany is a much better example. Unless you the people demand the government to get out of our personal lives, it will keep getting worse. I’m smart enough to realize that’s not going to happen though, and the only way to take back the country will be a revolution, and it’s right around the corner.
It’s scary; I’ve realized this is not a free country anymore. Someone is always watching you and the paronoia we have is reasonable. I see no practical way to change to country though with the path we are currently on. Who would be starting this revolution? Would we actually be able to win? The U.S. Army is very impressive. Would anyone even have a chance?
