16 Reasons To Feel Really Depressed About The Direction That The Economy Is Headed

If you do not want to feel really depressed, you might not want to read this article.  The U.S. economy is coming apart at the seams, and there are a whole lot of indications that things are about to get even worse.  After a time of relative stability, the pace of job cuts is starting to pick up again, inflation is rising but paychecks are not, the U.S. housing crisis shows no signs of ending, millions of American families are drowning in debt and all of the recent polls show that the faith of the American people in our economy is eroding.  As you read the statistics in this article, try to keep in mind that there are scores of families from coast to coast that are barely surviving from month to month.  It can be a soul-crushing experience to work as hard as you can and yet just barely be able to pay the mortgage and put food into the mouths of your kids.  The reason why so many Americans believe that we are in a “recession” or a “depression” is because that is what they feel like they are living through every single day.

The number of Americans that are really depressed about the direction of the economy continues to grow.  At first most Americans had expected the U.S. economy to bounce back after the recession “like it always does”, but now hope is turning into desperation as people start realizing that this time things are different.

Most Americans are very eager for things to go back to normal.  Unfortunately, things look like they are about to get even worse.

The following are 16 reasons to feel really depressed about the direction of the economy….

#1 A newly released National Federation of Independent Business poll discovered that U.S. small businesses let go of more workers than they hired in June.  Previously, the poll had registered four monthly gains in net jobs in a row.  Some analysts believe that this may be another indication that the employment market is getting softer once again.

#2 Another newly released jobs report found that the number of job cuts being planned by U.S. employers increased by 11.6% in June.

#3 There are fewer payroll jobs in the United States today than there were back in 2000 even though we have added 30 million people to the population since then.

#4 There are officially 6.2 million Americans that have been unemployed for more than 6 months.  There are millions of others that have also been out of work that long but they have become so discouraged about looking for work that the U.S. government considers them “to no longer be in the workforce”.

#5 It now takes the average unemployed worker in America nearly 40 weeks to find a new job.

#6 Paychecks are not keeping up with inflation.  In May, the average hourly wage in the United States was 1.6 percent lower than 12 months earlier.

#7 Food and gas prices have been absolutely soaring over the past year. McDonald’s, Hershey and Coca-Cola have all announced price increases this year.  One recent survey found that 9 out of 10 U.S. workers do not expect their wages to keep up with soaring food prices and soaring gas prices over the next 12 months.

#8 There are disturbing indications that the business community expects the economy to slow down even more in the months ahead.  For example, pre-orders for Christmas toys from China are way down.

#9 As of April, there were 6.39 million home loans in the United States that were either delinquent or in foreclosure.  Included in that were 675,000 home loans that had not had a single payment made on them in two years.

#10 Approximately 28 percent of all home loans in the United States are currently “underwater”.

#11 Overall, American households are about 7.7 trillion dollars poorer than they were back in early 2007.

#12 As a percentage of GDP, the total amount of debt in the United States is now far higher than it ever has been in any other era of U.S. history.  Things were not even close to this bad during the Great Depression.

#13 One of the key measures of consumer confidence in the United States has hit a seven-month low.

#14 According to Gallup, the percentage of Americans that lack confidence in U.S. banks is now at an all-time high of 36%.

#15 According to one recent poll, 39 percent of Americans believe that the U.S. economy has now entered a “permanent decline”.

#16 Another recent survey found that 48 percent of Americans believe that it is likely that another great Depression will begin within the next 12 months.

So what is the United States going to look like if we do have another major economic downturn?

If the U.S. economy continues to get worse and worse, will what is happening in Greece eventually start happening in this country?

Let us certainly hope that our cities do not descend into chaos any time soon.

However, we should not just stick our heads in the sand and pretend that everything is going to be okay.

Those of us that are aware of what is happening to the economy should take this time to get prepared.

We should all be getting out of debt.  When the economy tanks and interest rates start to spike you don’t want a horde of creditors hunting you down.

We should all be reducing our expenses and learning to live on less.  It is those that are “lean and mean” that will have the best chance of making it through a major downturn successfully.

We should all be storing up emergency food and supplies.  After all, you take out insurance on all kinds of other things, don’t you?  We all need to be fully prepared just in case the worst happens.

The truth is that most Americans are totally unprepared for economic troubles.  As the financial crisis of 2008 demonstrated, when people lose their jobs and their wealth they will come in and take everything away from you.

And it is not just your home that you could lose.  When you don’t have any more money left there is a chance that authorities will take everything away from you.

For example, according to one local news report, six kids were taken away permanently from their parents just because they were homeless and living in a storage shed….

“You shouldn’t take our kids because we’ve fallen on hard times,” said Prince Leonard, a married father of six whose family resides in a northeast Houston storage shed.

The Leonards moved in three years ago after the father, an unemployed welder, was hired as a maintenance worker.

Well, it turns out that the storage shed actually had “an air conditioner, a refrigerator and two personal computers”, so they were not living too terribly.

But this is what happens to so many poor families today – “child protective services” will come in and take their children away at the drop of a hat.

Poor people are an easy target.  They know that they are unlikely to fight back and so thousands and thousands of young children are constantly being ripped out of homes and never returned.

Don’t think that it can never happen to you.  It is happening all over the country.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media continues to act like everything is just fine.  As our economy continues to be caught in a death spiral they are busy cracking jokes and talking about celebrities.

While the country is falling apart, the following video is an example of what passes for news in America these days….

The sad reality of the matter is that “the American Dream” is dying.

Every month more American families are slipping out of the middle class and into poverty.

Over the past four years, the number of Americans on food stamps has risen by 18 million.  A higher percentage of Americans is enrolled in government anti-poverty programs than ever before.

There will be millions of Americans that will not be able to sleep tonight because they are being eaten alive by worry and fear. If the economy does not turn around soon, there will be even more American families that are living in their cars and eating out of dumpsters.

Our economic problems are a horrible nightmare that never seems to end.  We are literally watching the greatest economy on earth crumble before our very eyes.

So if you feel really depressed about all this, nobody is going to blame you.

But pulling yourself together and getting yourself and your family prepared for the really hard times that are coming might be a better course of action.

I have no sympathy for the American people. They deserve what they have voted for. By that, I mean putting the 2 party system in charge of their demise.

The 2 party duopoly represents only the rich globalist elitists and screws the poor and middle class. Yet the sheeple are so so stupid thay they think voting Dem vs Rep. is going to change anything.

Still, the stupid people vote for this corrupt 2 party system that does nor represent them.

F**k the people! Until they wake up, and revolt, and start voting only 3rd party, they deserve what they vote for!

    • Ben Dover

You mean USA has TWO major political parties?

      • Bobby

Two wings of the same bird.

    • Steven N.

Searcher: you might have a point there. I’ll be waitin for you on the breadlines. I’ll be hiding behind the dumpster in the Mc donalds parking lot. And while I struggle to stay somewhat alive in the 15 degree weather, I’ll remember what you wrote here. Unfortunately, it will be too late. Like you, I have worked all my life paying into the system, going to the voting booth and making my voice heard. Oh, I forgot–I don’t have a voice because my vote dosen’t count! I don’t have a vote because I’m not making over 250,000 a year! I’m not recognized as a citizen because I don’t own a major corporation or have freinds on Wall street. In short, I didn’t create this problem. Mine is an attempt to join with other Americans to fight poverty by going to work.

  • A Dodgy Bloke

There’s a consumer talk show in my area I’ve listened to for years. In the last few months there has been a change in the type of calls the host has been getting. He’s now getting more calls from people needing help. A good example a woman called in she needed a job or she was going to be evicted. She had been out of work since 2008 she was two months behind on her rent. Every other call is somebody either on disability, trying to get disability, or living with somebody on disability. I said to myself what are these people going to do when the money goes?
There was a period when I was laid off four times in the spate of five years during the Tech wreck. Anybody who is about to be laid off already has been laid off or strongly suspect they may be laid off here are some suggestions.
    1. Most households hemorrhage money, slash expenses if you’re not on a cheaper cell phone plan get on one. Get rid of cable NOW, I don’t care if the kids whine you can always get it back. Get on a budget every dollar going out the door has a name. Look at the budget ask yourself what can I live without.
    2. Get on Unemployment ASAP most states have a waiting period and most companies drag there feet on severance if you’re lucky to get severance. If you can register on-line do it. The state I live in counts severance and any paid vacation time against you.
    3. Get a game plan just don’t sit around stewing in your own juice, you have an enemy and that’s time. If you’re planning on going to school go, if your not sure do some research.
    4. Use the resources you have available a guy at the local Job Center lead me to where I am now. The state where I live they will pay for certain classes, look into it. If you’re a Vet register at the VA NOW most of the Horror storied stem from the 1960’s and 1970’s and early 1980’s. The VA has saved my life and has saved me a ton of money in co-payments.
    5. Temp agencies are your friend every agency I ever worked for had a prime client not everybody go to go to. Temp agencies have a lot of people troop though and most don’t take the jobs seriously. If you are on time keep your nose clean, and do your job they will send you out on more assignments. Please don’t bitch and moan about no bennies. To many dimwits wait for the prefect job and wind up behind the eight ball slack jawed and no hope. You are unemployed and trying to survive, you don’t have the luxury of turning your beak up at anybody willing to pay you wages. It’s not for the rest of your life I had a couple of very good paying Temp assignments and got one good job Temping.
I can’t think of any more and this is getting long. If you have a job get out of debt, stock food, and sock some money away and get a gun and a CCW. It’s going to be a very sick twisted ride.

    • Guido

I spoke to a woman at the farmer’s market who is constantly looking for workers-she can’t get a reliable employee to save her life. She believes, at least in her area, all the people who are going to get a job have got one and only the dregs are left. She deals with absenteeism, theft, damage to company property or product, and abyssimal performance. She says finding a reliable driver is very hard. I was surprised, since it seems like this is an employer’s market.

    • Guido

I agree with you, Dodgy-I know a woman who was a senior nurse, got laid off, and refused to take a pay cut or a lower position. There must be tons of nurse jobs out there, but she was holding out for a management position and hadn’t had a job in a year when I met her. I suspect she’s feeling open to anything, now, but employers are not as interested in folks who have been unemployed in the last 2 years.

    • C P Wendt

Mostly good advice, especially about attitudes to wants versus needs. However, any connection with “rights” and “permits” and “assistance” may
be good short-term, not long-term. The Chinese celbrate The Long March. Americans, the quick buck. Note the results, lately?

TV is not only a wasteland, it is a waste of time in front of it. I grew up with TV from a round b & w screen in a big wood cabinet. More than the last 10 yrs haven’t owned or watched it

Have interests outside of “working” for someone
else. Forget corporations. Get local. Employment may come as contract or day labor. Short-term or temp. Be your own temp agency.

And, keep in mind, most of your relatives and friends will not think this way. They will not adapt.

    17. We have a repube political party that will shut everything down just so the rich can have another tax cut.

19 Different Polls Show That Americans Support Tax Increases To Cut Deficit

a list of 19 different polls taken since January that demonstrate that Americans support increasing taxes in order to reduce the deficit and inequality.

Tax the rich I love it!

The president is going to make them look like fools in the end. The GOP plays to the tea party that is disappearing.

    Tax the MF rich now!

    • Anthony

Gary you’re the example of what is wrong with our society today. People always wanting something given to them but not wanting to earn it for themselves. Always wanting to take from others because you feel entitled to have what they do. If you really want the riches money just go look at all the volunteer time and donations people give to help those who are less fortunate. We have the greatest society because we are able to choose what we do with our money. We do need the government to tell us to help others or take our money to give to ignorant and disrespectful people like you. I hope you are just some lame left blogger with nothing else to do but make comments to get everyone upset. Otherwise you really need to wakeup and actually pay for your Internet.

      • Gary

Anthony-with all due respect YOU are what is wrong with this country. Blindly going about your day and not noticing how the rich and corporations have stacked the deck and ruined our economy.

Many people are saying they are not going to take it anymore. You are seeing much more discussion on taxing the rich hard!

      • Randome-11

You know how much the rich where taxed in the 1950s, compared to today?

      • Shandooga

No, blind people like you are what’s wrong with “our” society. America is great in name, only. “Our” nation leads the world in obesity, illegal military invasions, imprisoned citizens, for example but regularly trail in math, science and decency. “Doing what you want with your money” is hardly a virtue when what you want is drugs, pay-per-view and high fructose corn syrup-laden, artery-clogging fast food. Furthermore, your government *is* telling you what to do with your money–bail out the corporations that fund politicians’ campaigns.

      • misterkel

Geez – quit preaching. It’s so tedious.
what did Goldman Sachs do to earn their money?

    • El Pollo de Oro

Gary2 in Wisconsin: I just took a look in my crystal ball, and I caught a glimpse of The Banana Republic of America five years from now. Some millionaires and billionaires were being “taxed” at a rate of 100%, but not by the Internal Revenue Service. The collectors, according to my crystal ball, were wearing ski masks and hoodies and were collecting DPDDTT (their collection methods included guns, knives, baseball bats and razor blades). Sadly, that’s what happens when millions and millions of formerly middle class Americans are plunged into hopelessness, hunger and bonecrushing poverty through no fault of their own while scumbag politicians/corporate welfare providers bail out the bankster mafiosi and White Shoe Boys (Gerald Celente’s term) who caused all this misery and suffering. Bailouts are strictly for Wall Street, not Main Street–which will mean the imposition of DPDDTT at some point.

You know, I think that Gerald Celente and I might be using the same crystal ball.

To understand how bad things really are, you would have to combine 911 truth(it’s not a theory, it was a black-op by the pentagon) with these stats. D.C is the greatest collection of smiling well dressed traitors ever assembled. The elite have it out for 90% of the population and it’s going down for real.

This news is depressing, but it is needed. This posting reminds me of some nasty medicine I used to get when I was younger, it was nasty, but necessary.

I have seen the effects of this depression 1st hand, and it is horrible. I work for a construction company that does framing and drywall. Back about 15 years ago, it was hard to find a skilled worker for less than $20 an hour. Now when we post an ad in the paper, and there are literally hundreds of applicants with a mile long resume who are ready to work for less than $10 an hour.

Prepare for what is coming, and don’t say no one warned you.

  • Prophet

The solution to all this isn’t electing some new politicians, instituting some new policy, or other patchwork solution. The answer is found in obedience to God and his commandments. If the moral fiber of this nation ever returns, an economic boom would occur thereafter.

    • Petty Officer First Class

You hit the nail on the head!

    • Mimi

      I totally agree with you!

Not at all surprising to see the response from the anchorman and anchorwoman in that news clip. Certainly not after watching the recent Casey Anthony trial. American society is obsessed with personalities which the mainstream media builds up and places on pedestals, or turns into a media circus. This morning’s “Today” show on NBC literally turned into the Casey Anthony Network. She’s guilty! No, she isn’t! How did the jury acquit her? Who really killed Caylee? Was Caylee even killed? Did she drown instead? Casey’s parents molested her! Ughhhh. Calgon, take me awayyyy!!

The mass media will do anything to divert the populace from the real issues facing the country. The Casey Anthony trial and verdict (case in point) most likely won’t affect you personally, unless you know them. The average guy or lady in Des Moines or Seattle was hooked on the case, watching Nancy Grace or the cable networks because it’s sensationalism.

Oh by the way, there is a looming debt crisis. Debt crisis, you say? Yup. The looming debt default on August 2nd…federal government is about to go broke. Oooooh, that will definitely affect you personally. But ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and CNN won’t cover that story, will they?

Hey, why not just conjoin the two news stories. “Casey Anthony’s court fees will pay off the entire federal debt for fiscal year 2011! She will personally prevent a U.S. government default!” Yeah, that’s more like it! All worries are over. Casey will save our nation from bankruptcy, although we all feel sorry for what happened to her daughter Caylee. Back to barbecuing those chicken thighs and eating Jell-O while watching “America’s Got Talent”. Aaah, life is good.*

*(Yes, I am being sarcastic. Anytime a young life is taken, it is a tragedy. It is painful for the immediate family, and it is painful for strangers as well. I do not wish to diminish their loss at all.)

    • El Pollo de Oro

Mondobeyondo: When I was waiting in line at my bank here in Philly this morning, one of the local rocket scientists commented that he hoped Casey Anthony and Amanda Knox (l’americana favorita d’Italia) would be making a porn movie together. Being the sarcastic individual that I am, I commented, “Maybe Silvio Berlusconi will direct it.” But Mr. Rocket Scientist gave me a blank stare because he didn’t know who Silvio Berlusconi was. Oops.

The sick thing is that when all is said and done, Signorina Anthony will probably end up making millions of dollars from reality shows, book deals, etc. So for the millions of formerly middle class/neo-poor Americans who are hungry, cold, malnourished, unemployed and just plain desperate, be sure to send a résumé to Casey Anthony Productions in Orlando, Florida, Banana Republic of America a few years from now. I’m sure her company will be hiring.

    • Shandooga

The debt “ceiling” will be raised –just in the nick of time (I can’t raise any ceiling of mine) but it won’t be enough to save the economy. Neither does Obama think it will be. He really just hopes to buy time to get out of office before the collapse that was engineered during the Bush years gets dropped at his feet–and in his name. He’ll probably get blamed for it anyway…methinks that’s why he was [s]elected.

In a nutshell, the answer to what ails America lies within us. In simple terms, I suppose you could call it fortitude although most people know it as the will to make the necessary changes. On the political front, this requires that politicians honor their oath and put their electorate before themselves. On the personal front, this means living within your means and not getting trapped in the “keeping up with the Jones'” syndrome.

While it is true that many jobs are gone forever, many more await political decisions before the industries can afford to hire new people. Inflation, well, that is going to be tough for the short term but once We The People decide to enforce our rights as stated in our Constitution on a large enough scale, in essence demonstrating our fortitude to our elected officials, things will change and change for the better.

I sometimes wonder if We are afraid of that change and if our fear is what keeps us from doing what We know to be right. FDR once said that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself. So why not face our fears and perhaps take that less travelled road to prosperity and happiness. It sure beats depression and the helplessness that this article implies has gripped our nation.

  • Colin

I am depressed. I am looking at being permanently unemployed. I am watching the Capitulator in Chief conceding again to the Reputhugs. He is agreeable to cuts in Social Security and Medicare if the opposition will approve to tax revenue. (Months ago, he said that both of these programs would not be included in budget talks.)

I have told my mother that I am not voting for this man again. She asks me, if I don’t vote for him, who will I vote for? She says to me, if I don’t vote, the Repubthugs will win and I will lose. I retort to my mother, we are already losing. This man is in Pollyanna land – he believes that he can convince the Repubthugs to work with him. This is contrary to reality where they seek to end his term by whatever means necessary, even if it means sabotaging our economy, and bring one of them in. In pursuit of a fantasy that will never come to pass, he concedes to the opposition again and again. So, I have already lost.

  • Robert Walker

My grandparents lived on farms they did not own. They had a big garden, canned and put up the produce. No one starved. But money was hard to come by. Canned food more than a year old is not as fresh as this years crop. It takes time and energy to preserve food. There is spoilage when food is stored a long time. Maintaining a personal stock pile of food is not the answer.

A rising tide lifts all boats. Cheap oil changed us. Our ability to extract energy from the ground; when it literally gushed out in fountains, made a lot of things possible. So Americans bought SUVS and homes in suburbia. I myself live in a neighborhood within walking distance of five bus lines. A monthly bus pass will cost me less than my present automobile insurance. I am flexible. I can shift. But I will keep my food supply in large warehouses. It will be brought to me by trucks to distribution centers called grocery stores.
If there is a massive breakdown I can feed my block by cooking dried beans and rice.

Remember the number one commandment is to love thy neighbor as thyself.

I was out of debt a long time ago. The money I did not spend on a personal food warehouse and on firearms I invested. Dividends are paid quarterly. I can use that to buy food.

The local National Guard Armory is a mile away. I used to run to it and back to stay in shape. It has a weapons vault with a secure door and thick concrete walls. Inside are machine guns and semiautomatic rifles. The citizens who drill there are trained responsible soldiers, part time. When we stop foreign adventures they will still drill there once a month. But it will no longer cost us a million dollars a year per soldier to deploy them away from their families.

  • AreyouReady?

The article is stating that we could be entering another great recession.

Unfortunately, The facts are here, the only thing propping up the markets is the vast amounts of stimulus money, trillions upon trillions of dollars, not only printed by the united States but by all the world banks combined.

When this money runs out and it will, then all hell will soon follow.

What will this hell be like?

Those of you who cannot tolerate a disaster scenario please turn away now.
    For those of you willing to take a glimpse into a nightmare hell that is about take place then read on;

The riots of LA and Katrina will pale by comparison.
When the large banks fail one by one like dominoes and your money cannot be withdrawn from ATM’s the rumblings will start.
You will hear it on the news first, “bank holidays” they will be announced weekly and growing more frequently day by day.

Take heart for this is not yet the end.
Food will be hard to come by and life sustaining commodities will cost you your days labor.
Most of You will not be able to make it into work. Infra structure will soon shut down.

Looting, home break-ins and car jackings will be like a locust plague across the nation. Millions will be murdered, raped, robbed and left for dead.

Seniors will be the most vulnerable, they will be targeted first because they are easy pickens, compared to those of you who are well prepared to fight for your life.

Marshall law will be declared shortly after,
Our national guard will be overwhelmed, and the president will call back our army troops from around the world to enforce Marshall law.

By that time most of the worlds boarders including our own will be closed, No one in no one out, there will be massive arson fires and great plumes of smoke in all the great cities, thousands upon thousands of bodies strewn in the streets like a massive road kill.

No one you know alive will be recognizable, you will see dirty, scarred, burned faces on everyone, torn ripped cloths, no running water or food anywhere.

But the end will not come yet.

Once the army of the Untied states has gained some footing in the larger cities, those alive will be rounded up in those cities and brought into detainment camps by way of the US army using shipment trailers to transport citizens.

These FEMA camps are where the very basic life sustaining supplies of food and water will be distributed to those who somehow survived.

After 6-7 months of these horrid conditions, those of you who continue to survive will start to see a slight resemblance of social order but yet…a very different social order.

You will be told where and when to eat, shower, relieve yourselves and sleep. This will go on for years and years.

Those who survive all this will witness the New World Order.

    God help all of us.

The “elites” imagined that they could plunder the country and live a good, comfortable and well-fed life while leaving us all out to starve. It doesn’t work that way. The collapse is coming and when it does, it will be global and no one will be immune from it.

  • Great. I’m totally depressed now. That June figure on small private business seems incongruous with the ADP number released today. But it’s pretty plain that there is a lot of pain yet in the economy.

“When the money stops flowing down to Main Street, the blood begins to flow on the streets. And the money is not flowing down.” —Gerald Celente

Some people call Gerald Celente a doom-and-gloomer. I call him a guy who tells it like it is, and he is absolutely right: when the money stops flowing down to Main Street, the blood DOES begin to flow on the streets. And no, the money is NOT flowing down. Not in Greece, not in Spain, not in Ireland or Portugal, not in North Africa, and definitely not in this Third World house of horrors called The Banana Republic of America (formerly known as the USA).

“You can sum up what has killed capitalism in four words: too big to fail.” —Gerald Celente

As horrible as the BRA economy has been since the crash of Sept. 2008, this depression (not a recession, a DEPRESSION) is going to be getting much, much worse. And when the you-know-what hits the fan, things are going to get downright bloody in the BRA. The blood will flow like the Amazon River through the streets of American cities. Get ready for food riots. Get ready for civil unrest that will make the La La Land riots of 1992 look like a day at the beach. Get ready for violent crime to skyrocket to the levels one sees in some Third World countries. And get ready for the DPDDTT.

What is the DPDDTT? That’s short for The Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax, which is imposed in Third World countries and includes things like kidnapping, carjacking, violent muggings and violent home invasions. DPDDTT is intended for millionaires and billionaires in places like El Salvador and Venezuela, but because millionaires and billionaires can afford round-the-clock bodyguards, DPDDTT collectors often end up going after people who can’t afford bodyguards. So when DPDDTT comes to the BRA, someone like myself (a small business owner who is far from rich) will be forced to pay DPDDTT.

“What are these so-called austerity measures? What do they really bring? Oh, they bring a lot more poverty. Oh, they bring a worse GDP. Oh, they bring more unemployment.” —Gerald Celente

Exactly right, Signore Celente. And they bring the dreaded Desperate People Doing Desperate Things Tax, coming soon to a Chicago, a Philadelphia, a Houston or a San Diego near you.

    • Fed up

So sick of you losers who wont work hard, wont get an education but constantly want what the wealthier harder working Americans have. Stop begging for a hand out, its sad. Bring your bad ass on over here, i promise you that I am badder, meaner, and better equipped.

But before all these, they shall lay their hands on you, and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues, and into prisons, being brought before kings and rulers for my name’s sake. 13And it shall turn to you for a testimony. 14Settle it therefore in your hearts, not to meditate before what ye shall answer: 15For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. 16And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. 17And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. 18But there shall not an hair of your head perish. 19In your patience possess ye your souls.

20And when ye shall see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then know that the desolation thereof is nigh. 21Then let them which are in Judaea flee to the mountains; and let them which are in the midst of it depart out; and let not them that are in the countries enter thereinto. 22For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23But woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck, in those days! for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. 24And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles, until the times of the Gentiles be fulfilled.

You get what you vote for. By the way how’s that voting been working out for us?

Government will not save you , nor will an “oath” by a scum bag politician.

    • William

In Nov of 2012, voters will return the SAME corrupt and evil Representatives and Senators to the US Congress. Never mind that it is these same FOOLS who created the economic disasters that we now have. So, ALL be sure to vote for the very SAME IDIOTS who put America in this jam.

  • Shattering Lives!

Everyday we are met with resistance to our way of life. Prosperity is being taken away from Americans by world elites and spread around the globe. As they take from your children’s mouths and given to others in developing countries> I can imagine the rage in your hearts when you know that the next generation of Americans will be collecting food from vast amounts of Garbage Dumps.

Rise up it doesn’t have to be this way!
    Fight back.
Stop buying Foreign goods. Look before you buy and refuse to buy it if it doesn’t support American families.
Stop using international credit cards (all of them).
If you do not have the cash then you do not need it.

Hi, I m from france and just discovered this webside. The economic situation in france is also getting worst from years to years (unemployement, privatisation, taxes, huge propaganda, useless war…) It seems like if our governements and our banks want to destroy our countries. I give here an interesting and clever think tank: http://www.leap2020.eu/ just a part of it is for free but it’s interesting to read it each month.

When dominoes fall in order, is it not usually because they were arranged in that very order for that very purpose?

  • Leroy

I am an American veteran of foreign wars and what I had seen in the other countries that we supposedly were trying to help is now occurring here in America. Our forefathers foreseen that this political corruption would happen so that’s why in the constitution they put “the well organized militia” in so that we the legal American citizens can ban together as a militia and remove the political treasonous politicians in the Whitehouse including President Obama and his staff, so I urge you to join your local militia to send notice to Obama and the other corrupt politicians and all the scum judges and lawyers that we mean business and want them out of office/authority and for anyone who want to take office/authority we are fine with that as long as they are there for the American people as they are suppose to be. A big “Thank You” to our forefathers for giving the Legal American citizen the right to protect America from internal terrorist and treasonous politicians.

Our entire system is horribly and completely broken. The ONLY WAY things will get better is for the current political, cultural, and economic system to utterly collapse and be replaced. At its core, this nation has become populated by liars at every level. Dishonesty and duplicity are the expected norm, no longer the exception. The American people have been lying to themselves and each other for so long, we don’t even question it anymore. When was the last time you heard the “Unemployment Rate” percentage being talked about in the news without KNOWING that the rate being disclosed was a blatant lie subject to manipulation and statistical trickery to make it sound much lower than it actually was? Yet, we all just calmly go about our days without the rage we should exhibit by our leaders, our politicians, our journalists KNOWINGLY LYING to us and all of us WILLINGLY ACCEPTING IT.
    It is WRONG.
    It must be STOPPED.
Lies everywhere and about everything: the economy, taxes, jobs, gross corruption at the highest levels, false emergencies to enable new security laws to control and tax the population, about shipping all our jobs overseas, the list is endless.
Stop the lies. Stop going along with this disgusting, perverted pantomime of a just and fair society, demand nothing but the full and complete TRUTH from yourself and all those around you.
And finally, pray that it is not too late.

    • Shandooga

You’re right: unfortunately, the collapse has engineered for the very purpose of ushering in the replacement. The replacement will be worse than this and worse than anything you could have imagined.

  • taxed to death

How can you pay your bills off if you are being taxed to death? I have no disposable income to pay bills off. It goes in my gas tank and puts food on my table. my adult children who have small ones have run out of unemployment and cant find jobs. By the time you keep them from starving you have nothing left. So,Gary tell me how can I possibly pay anymore tax. You will deplete what is left of the middle class then we will all be poor with few rich overlords left. depends on what you call rich is it not. and the bar keeps getting lowered till we soon find ourselves a third world country demanding to bailout more banks, countries overseas, wall street, illegeal aliens, etc. who will bail us out no one is that not the point to crash us? our enemies could not have done it better.

  • taxed to death

time to start our own local companies and trade within our borders to make jobs. They are not going to let the jobs come back. So quit waiting on the government to make jobs,it is plain they can’t. We need to make a pact to barter and trade within our communities and buy local goods only. If if comes to not eating, the government may have to be cut off from taxes it is appearant they do not know how to spend it with all the waste going on. they want us to riot and beg I am sorry, they are not going to win. God help and forgive them they have lost reality with the people. I see more and more people living in their cars.
