14 Reasons Why Rick Perry Would Be A Really, Really Bad President

Supporters of Texas Governor Rick Perry are not going to like this article at all.  Right now, Republicans all over the United States are touting Rick Perry as the "Republican messiah" that is going to come charging in to save America from the presidency of Barack Obama.  Many believe that if Rick Perry enters the race, he will instantly become the frontrunner for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012.  Perry certainly looks the part and he knows how to give a good speech, but when ordinary Americans all over the country take a hard look at his record, they may not like what they see.  The truth is that Rick Perry is a big-time globalist, he has raised taxes and fees in Texas numerous times, he has massively increased the size of government spending and government debt in Texas, he has been trying to ram the Trans-Texas Corridor down the throats of the Texas people and he tried to force young women all over Texas to be injected with the Gardasil vaccine.  No, Rick Perry is not going to save America.  In fact, he would likely be very, very similar to both Bush and Obama in a lot of ways.

Right now, Rick Perry is trying to portray himself as a "good conservative" so that if he enters the race he will be accepted by Christian conservatives.  If Rick Perry did win the Republican nomination, he would have a great chance of winning the general election because he would very much be an "establishment" candidate.

But before Republicans get too excited about Rick Perry, there are a whole lot of things that they should know about him.

The following are 14 reasons why Rick Perry would be a really, really bad president....

#1 Rick Perry is a "big government" politician.  When Rick Perry became the governor of Texas in 2000, the total spending by the Texas state government was approximately $49 billion.  Ten years later it was approximately $90 billion.  That is not exactly reducing the size of government.

#2 The total debt of the Texas government has more than doubled since Rick Perry became governor.  So what would the U.S. national debt look like after four (or eight) years of Rick Perry?

#3 Rick Perry has spearheaded the effort to lease roads in Texas to foreign companies, to turn roads that are already free to drive on into toll roads, and to develop the Trans-Texas Corridor which would be part of the planned NAFTA superhighway system.  If you really do deep research on this whole Trans-Texas Corridor nonsense you will see why no American should ever cast a single vote for Rick Perry.

#4 Rick Perry was once an enthusiastic supporter of Hillary Clinton's efforts to "reform" the health care system.  In fact, Perry sent a letter to Clinton in which he made the following statement about "Hillarycare"....

“I think your efforts in trying to reform the nation’s health care system are most commendable."

#5 Rick Perry claims that he has a "track record" of not raising taxes.  That is a false claim.  Rick Perry has repeatedly raised taxes and fees while he has been governor.  Today, Texans are faced with significantly higher taxes and fees than they were before Rick Perry was elected.

#6 Even with the oil boom in Texas, 23 states have a lower unemployment rate than Texas does.

#7 Back in 1988, Rick Perry supported Al Gore for president.  In fact, Rick Perry actually served as Al Gore's campaign chairman in the state of Texas that year.

#8 Between December 2007 and April 2011, weekly wages in the U.S. increased by about 5 percent.  In the state of Texas they increased by just 0.6% over that same time period.

#9 Texas now has one of the worst education systems in the nation.  The following is from an opinion piece that was actually authored by Barbara Bush earlier this year....

•  We rank 36th in the nation in high school graduation rates. An estimated 3.8 million Texans do not have a high school diploma.

•  We rank 49th in verbal SAT scores, 47th in literacy and 46th in average math SAT scores.

•  We rank 33rd in the nation on teacher salaries.

#10 Rick Perry attended the Bilderberg Group meetings in 2007.  Associating himself with that organization should be a red flag for all American voters.

#11 Texas has the highest percentage of workers making minimum wage out of all 50 states.

#12 Rick Perry often gives speeches about illegal immigration, but when you look at the facts, he has been incredibly soft on the issue.  If Rick Perry does not plan to secure the border, then he should not be president because illegal immigration is absolutely devastating many areas of the southwest United States.

#13 In 2007, 221,000 residents of Texas were making minimum wage or less.  By 2010, that number had risen to 550,000.

#14 Rick Perry actually issued an executive order in 2007 that would have forced almost every single girl in the state of Texas to receive the Gardasil vaccine before entering the sixth grade.  Perry would have put parents in a position where they would have had to fill out an application and beg the government not to inject their child with a highly controversial vaccine. Since then, very serious safety issues regarding this vaccine have come to light.  Fortunately, lawmakers in Texas blocked what Perry was trying to do.  According to Wikipedia, many were troubled when "apparent financial connections between Merck and Perry were reported by news outlets, such as a $6,000 campaign contribution and Merck's hiring of former Perry Chief of Staff Mike Toomey to handle its Texas lobbying work."

Rick Perry has a record that should make all Republicans, Democrats, Libertarians and Independents cringe.

He is not the "conservative Republican" that he is trying to claim that he is.  He is simply another in a long line of "RINOs" (Republicans in name only).

If Rick Perry becomes president, he will probably be very similar to George W. Bush.  He will explode the size of the U.S. government and U.S. government debt, he will find sneaky ways to raise taxes, he will do nothing about the Federal Reserve or corruption in our financial system and he will push the agenda of the globalists at every turn.

Look, the truth is that another four years of Barack Obama would be a complete and total nightmare.

But so would four years of Rick Perry.

America deserves better than the "lesser of two evils".

Unfortunately, the American people have been dead asleep and have been sending incompetents, con men and charlatans to Washington D.C. for decades.

Hopefully things will be different in 2012.

Tricky Ricky is a slug. In Texas what he has not stolen or sold. he has given away.
For the Record I am a republican.

  • mike

I’m indifferent at this point on any of the Rep candidates so I have no “horse” in the race yet. You write that Perry increased spending and debt yet how much of this was forced upon the state by unfunded Federal mandates?

  • Fred

I cannot support Rick Perry as a candidate for the Republican Party. If the choice is between Obama and Perry, I will stay home and not vote.

  • Incontinentia Buttocks

Out of this list, four questions are redundant (6,8, 11 and 13); in any case, is it government’s job to see to peoples’ salaries, or to create jobs by decree – much less the Govenror’s?

As to Texas’ education – the Southern scot-irish tradition and southern white trash culture have ALWAYS been a problem for schools (and also help give the south a HUGE violence rate). Texas does better than most of its southern neighbors.

He was at Bilderberg? So what? What did he do? Did he speak? Did he heckle the speakers? Give specifics!

I don’t care that he supported Algore in ’88. I was a liberal in 1980. Ronald Reagan was a liberal in 1940. People grow up and learn better.

You really have four points here – Gardasil, immigration, the budget and the debt. All perfectly legitimate issues where I want answers from Perry.

Four out of “14″. Talk about inflation!

No, Ronald Reagan didn’t change that much…the Democrat party had changed. Over the last century, it has been usurped by hard leftists. Reagan was and always stayed a CLASSIC liberal like our Founding Fathers were and now most of today’s conservatives are. The left is not liberal at all. They do not believe in freedom, self-determination, equal opportunity and equal treatment under the law. They do not believe in the individual and his inalienable rights above that of the collective. But the right does. When Reagan was a Democrat, there was still some good ideas in the party. But when Perry was a Democrat, the party had already been taken over mostly by hard leftists. So, one cannot compare Perry’s previous party affiliation with Reagan’s. Two totally different eras.

  • It’s time for a bonafide constitutional conservative. The country is falling apart. The Progressives and RINOs have done enough damage; they must be shown the door.

POLITICIANS TALK SMACK and as OBAMA gave a great speech WE MUST LOOK AT WHAT THEY DO AND HAVE DONE AND WHAT THEY ARE NOT DOING..Governor Perry did not join ARIZONA in their fight with the OBAMA ADMINISTRATION AND Illegal immigration . Instead Perry came out against Arizona protecting itself..also PERRY TRIED TO IMPLEMENT The Trans-NATIONAL CORRIDOR (NAFTA) SUPER HIGHWAY ..and The GLOBALIST PLANNED NORTH AMERICAN UNION is A Establishment Republican GOAL..WE THE PEOPLE need to smarten up and realize that the MEDIA has the same Globalist agenda..VOTE IN REAL AMERICANS WITH BUSINESS SAVVY NOT CAREER POLITICIANS..

  • meanGuitar

Rick perry is the same ole globalist rino politician ..HERMAN CAIN 2012!!!

  • Brian

We already have a President who followed George W. Bush, one of the worst Presidents in US history, and did an EVEN WORSE JOB! Do we really need to follow that up with a governor who also followed Bush and ALSO DID AN EVEN WORSE JOB?!!! Come on people, get a clue!

  • Vaffanculo Merda

If Rick Perry will make a really, really bad President, then Obama is a really, really incompetent President who is currently on his Throw America Under The Bus Tour. Change that you can believe in??? What a joke! If anyone believes Obama will make things better, they are clearly delusional.

  • Vaffanculo Merda

The end of the american dream started the day Obama became President. Perry or any moron will do a better job than Obama.

  • Vaffanculo Merda

Perry or Obama? Now that is an easy choice. Any moron can do better than Obama.

    • John Williams

While Ron Paul may not be perfect, he is 100 times better than Perry. Why so many are stuck on Perry while ignoring Ron Paul completely, is totally beyond me. Paul is a person with integrity and, at the very least he is not an utter phony like most candidates. If a groundswell forms under Perry and not Paul then I fear America is lost , at least for the next 4-5 years.

  • Steven

I don’t know if these 14 things are factual. What I do know is that I am voting for whom ever the MSM hates the most. I am sure to vote for the opposite of the dumb ass thats in office now.

  • kaddy

Whoever wrote this article clearly wrote in from their own opinion. I am not for Rick Perry, but this article is clearly biased. Plus they used Wikipedia as a source…… Have you been to high school? Wikipedia is NOT, I repeat NOT a reliable source. I wouldn’t trust anything in this article.

    Ron Paul in 2012…

  • Why can’t we get a good moderate republican to become president of all the people now???We might get some independents and get rid of the far, far, right that is killing our party…

  • Not surprising, the Chicago type politics of the Obama administration is getting an early start. When being a complete failure as our President, in lacking any form of leadership; blame the opposition for Obama’s failures.

  • howiem

Some of these claims show that the writer has about as much economics knowlkedge as a toad. Who, by the way wrote it? A toad or a troll? Citing loonie lefties like Rachael Maddog is no way to make a case. Whose responsibility is it to secure the borders? Last I heard a state that tries it gets sued. That is only one example. The debt clock claims are inaccurate. Visit the Texas web page and see. As others have pointed other claims are suspect as well. No wonder no author’s name is given.

  • All of the solutions without any of the plitical backstabbing and special interest pay-offs comes from ONLY ONE candidate and he’s 3rd party…

Great article! Glad to see someone submitted this link to norickperry.org. This guy is bad news and its sad the media isn’t showing his true colors.

  • FormerTexan

Here is yet another reason not to vote for Perry. Interview with Robert Morrow regarding Perry’s sex escapades in Austin:
    http://www.infowars.com/infowars-tv-interviews-rick-perry-sex-scandal-accuser/

  • Chet

I agree with a previous poster who said that a Palin/West ticket would be a good one. Sarah Palins record in Alaska was great. She took on big business that had greased the palms of her fellow party members and made them pay there “Fair Share” in taxes. She held her own party accountable and had one of the highest approval ratings of any Governor. She started with the PTA and through credibility and accomplishment rose to be governor. Allen West is an excellent candidate for VP and one who would definately have the Presidents back covered. Go to YOU Tube and check him out if you don’t know who he is.

  • J.R.

    You’re a F*#!ing IDIOT……….

  • StraightUp

What a tired old list of the same old bullshit repeated over and over and addressed and cleared up by viable facts and records.. This is hilarious to anyone with a clue, and the ACORN endorsing Rick Perry page has no sign of an administrator or a person in charge of the page, because it is BOGUS, just like this bunch of misinformation.. WOW! This just proves what a threat he is.. The beat down based on bullshit and the Fact that the Cult of Ron Paul’s followers are a group of Perry haters. Great endorsement, rock on with your uninformed misguided resentment… And Texas didn’t always rock… I’ve lived here through some suck ass times, and none were during Rick Perry’s time in office.

  • Lil He Goat

Thank you, thank you, thank you for this list.

  • Joe Smiggly

Rick Perry is the greatest presidential canidate since Ronald Reagen! Finally someone to tell the fags in the green party where to stick it! Lets now get behind this great person and get him elected to stop the evil socialist Obama !!!!! Yes we can!!!!

  • Lucy Linda

There is so much outright crap in this article that one scarcely knows where to begin. Those figures trashing education and the Texas economy are garbage. They are based on false comparisons and false numbers spun by political opponents strictly to injure Rick Perry. Numerous articles have been posted all over everywhere trying to explain that.

Now, if Rick Perry is elected President, here is what he will do: Get the American economy running again simply by getting out of the way of businesses, which will in turn put people back to work. Do you unemployed people want to go back to work at decent paying jobs? Do you want to keep the job you already have? If so, vote for Rick Perry in 2012. The man is about jobs, I guarantee you. Is there anything else more worrisome at the moment? You people better think straight, whether you are liberal or conservative. Barack Obama has failed to produce a prosperous economy — not because “It’s Bush’s Fault” — but because he is a big-government idealogue who has no idea how an economy works. Rick Perry does. So if you want to be employed, he’s the man for the job.

  • Steve

@StraightUp, Actually the establishments biggest fear is Ron Paul, who is the only candidate capable of saving this country. Check out Ron Paul http://www.RonPaul2012.com . Dr. Paul received more military contributions than all other candidates X 2. That should say something in itself. Dr. Paul also is considered the “Godfather” of the Tea Party and a Champion of the US Constitution. Ron Paul has consistent voting records, and started the “End The FED”, before the other candidates hopped on board such as Gingrich and Perry. http://www.DailyPaul.com is also a great source of information on Ron Paul. RON PAUL 2012!

  • WOW, bla, bla, bla no matter what you say or write, come november 2012 The America people will speak. Their are no perfect President We look from the outside, the heat is on, I dont see no one else runnng for President without a spots. The White House as been full of crap for YEARS, no matter who wins, PEOPLE WILL COMPLAIN, IF THE SUN SHINE PEOPLE COMPLAIN IFIT RAINS SAMETHING, CAN NOT PLEASE EVERYBODY. BLACK OR WHITE ALL COLORS IF YOUR HE SMARTEST PERSON WRITING AL THIS COMMENTS, WHY DONT YOU RUN FOR PRESIDENT………..

  • Rob

I couldnt even get passed #2, this next Fiscal year is not looking to good, but we are no where close to the debt cali is in. I am not sure about Perry just yet, but the Trans Texas Corridor has been completely defeated. These must be out of date. There will be no TTC.

  • Rusty

I agree that Rick Perry will be a bad President. I voted for the guy a few times! He has lied about closing the border over and over! Property taxes run a muck! He coulpd have shut down the border this last session and kicked it under the rug! He is a true lying typical politician! He IS A FAKE! Ron Paul gets my vote! Romney is even worse! Romney is the next best thing to Obama!

  • Rusty

The only person i would vote to run this Country is Ron Paul or Jan Brewer of Arizona. Jan has put it out there, while Rick Perry blows hot air. You can Blame Rick Perry, HEB, and speaker Joe Straus of Texas for NOTHING getting done at the border. I/we have be invaded by the thugs from the South. They come into the neighbor hoods and blar the mexican music to run out the good people! Rick Perry is a F—ing RINO 100%. Don’t be fooled by this fake slick WILLIE! Taxes and toll roads are through the roof! I was born and raised in Texas, and Rick Perry is in the top 3 worst Governors in my opinion! He is a total FAKE! he’s the greatest liar of all times! I’m a full fledge tea party GOP Conservative, and this guy is not our BOY! He’s a sneaky tax raiser!

  • I lived in Texas for 15 years, it’s a hell of a place, But it is a breeding ground for big government Federal wanna be’s. Rick Perry is just the latest sellout ringer to come out of there! I do like Ron Paul but even if he did get close to having to call a moving company to pack his stuff to move into the white house the powers that be will kill him! They already tried once! Guess Ron Paul didn’t get the message. I am also Leary of ANYONE politician ALLOWED to get this far. Plus my personal belief is that elections do not matter! Public elections are run by the government for the government and to think they would dare RISK what they have set up for decade by letting the hill-jack peasants voting in a guy from the outside is crazy

  • punky

I live in Texas it is true we have a horrible education system. Rick perry has cut the budget on education. I think his argument is dont quote me we put whole lot of money in a system with out results. In my opinion this is what it seems like Money flows into the districts but doesn’t get to the kids properly. It is true about the vaccinations and got a whole lot of moms upset. the fact of the matter is: If decisions are made it can still be stopped. He may think at the time its a good idea but if its not what the people want it doesn’t happen. What i dont like sometimes is he shakes his fist at Washington and thats it nothing further. I think he should do something aobut the border alot more than what hes
doing. Have better protection legally for the farmers on the border. I think he is
lenient on immigration as a whole. the drug trade here is horrible. I think the reasons for this is harder to understand if you don’t know the history of the process. I think Obama will win but not by me. I havent been 100 percent on perry but im interested in the debate. NO canidate is 100 percent they all make mistakes. but Obama dosent seem to reflect on his ideas and change he sticks to what he invisions and this is not a country where one mans idea is the only solution .it seems like that is whats happening in my opinion. The country seems to thinking what is going on ?

    Point by point:
    1. Since the growing of the GSP the state revenue grows too – Texas GSP in 2005 – 982,058$Mil, Texas GSP in 2010 – 153,100,000$Mil. – US Governmental Revenue – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._states_by_GDP . Texas revenue 2005 – 62,073$Mil, 2011 – 145,205$Mil. – http://www.laits.utexas.edu/txp_media/html/pec/features/0401_01/slide1.html

    2. The US Debt Clock shows that Texas have $8,362 Debt/Citizen not 10,645$. The clock also shows that the debt is shrinking with 500$ per second, not growing. – http://www.usdebtclock.org/state-debt-clocks/state-of-texas-debt-clock.html

    3. The State debt has doubled true, but one of the reasons is the governorship of GWB and many entitlements that ware already signed off. If anything is indicator Texas debt is shrinking now.

    4. The TTC was supposed to be build on empty land, bring new business in state and all the landowners ware to be compensated as per the 4th Amendment. Leasing roads to private companies is anti-conservative, since when?

    5. The cited article clearly states that altho he raised some taxes he lowered others and it was net tax decrease, not increase. Additionally there can be no plan to fix the budget of the FedGov without closing tax-holes. To offset this the current proposition is to lower the tax-rate in order to amount to general tax-decrease that will be helpful to the economy, but will rise more revenue. This plan is consistent with Perry’s actions in Texas.

    6. The unemployment source is Rachel Maddow… need I say more? Well here is an interactive map of USA with UR – http://marketplace.publicradio.org/features/jobs-state-of-the-union-2011/patchwork-nation-map-unemployment.html . As you can see while other states may have lower unemployment, Texas’s is much more spread by county. This means that it is far easier to find jobs then in other states. Also from the map you can see that those other 23 states have lower population then Dallas. And on another note you can see that the counties with most unemployment are filled mostly with illegal aliens which skew the statistics.

    7. Many prominent conservatives ware former Democrats, including Ronald Reagan. Perry was one of the earliest converts in a predominantly blue state at the time.

    8. The so called wage increase source is again Rachel Maddow. The truth is that the statistic she is citing is actually the minimum-wage-increase not the average-wage-increase. Minimum wage increases kill jobs – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jv1Zae0sgo.

    9. The source is an opinion peace that cites no further sources. Also if you look at this report – http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2011/2011012.pdf , you will see that the reason Texas is so low is because others have moved up. The HSGR in US is now more uniform then 10 years ago. There are also several other reasons why this is non-issue, one of them being that FedGov have no business in education.

    10. This is stupid, I won’t even comment on how idiotic this is. BB Group have an official web page, yeah they are big conspiracy… BTW, Ron Paul for example is Mason.

“The original conference was held at the Hotel de Bilderberg, near Arnhem in the Netherlands, from 29 May to 31 May 1954. It was initiated by several people, including Polish politician Józef Retinger, concerned about the growth of anti-Americanism in Western Europe, who proposed an international conference at which leaders from European countries and the United States would be brought together with the aim of promoting Atlanticism – better understanding between the cultures of the United States and Western Europe to foster cooperation on political, economic, and defense issues.” – Hatch, Alden (1962). “The Hôtel de Bilderberg”. H.R.H.Prince Bernhard of the Netherlands: An authorized biography. London: Harrap. ISBN B0000CLLN4. “The idea was to get two people from each country who would give the conservative and liberal slant”

Yeah they hate America so much they wish to promote its values across the Atlantic…

    11. Another liberal source (not working by the way), Texas also have one of the most unqualified labor force in US, so what? They are making min-wage-jobs because they can’t get better jobs, but they are working, in other words producing.

    12. So what as opposed to whom? Also being soft is supporting path to citizenship, I thought that illegal is the problem in illegal-immigration. The other option is deporting 20 million people, which one is easier and more productive? He never said he will support illegal-immigration, just a plan to fix the current mess. I may disagree with his plan, but there is no perfect candidate.

    13. So does the net residents of Texas. Either talk in percentages, or stop fear-mongering.

    14. He regretted this decision and stated several times that if he can do it all over again he won’t force them. I’m yet to meet a man without a flaw.

    • ZxDread

      DaniOcean! Excellent response!

    • John Williams

Are you as forgiving to Obama as you are to this nut? The Texas debt has increased by 281 percent under his stewardship but a little bit of hand waving about the debt clock and a lame attempt to blame it on Bush and you have appeared to completely placate yourself, very well done. Ignore the fact that he undermined cherished conservative ideals and forced a questionable drug on young children because, really, we all make mistakes even when they happen to be undergirded by our most fervent beliefs (that is sarcasm by the way). I have to say your post is a brilliant example of how some people cope with cognitive dissonance, namely, irrationally. Do you find ways to practice your irrational apologetics in defense of Obama too? Or do you twist it the other way and demonize democrats while angelizing republicans.
Your post reminds me of an experiment I heard about where ideologues were given factual evidence that clearly contradicted their beliefs and preconceived notions yet they did not leave the experiment with more doubt or the even the same confidence they came in with, on the contrary, they managed to actually twist the contradicting evidence to further shore up their beliefs and left more certain then they were before viewing evidence that directly contradicted their beliefs, evidence that would lead a rational person to doubt what they thought was true. Then again die hard ideologues cannot really be considered rational so the results are not all that surprising really. Neither is your post for that matter.

    • bambi

spinning like a top daniO. nice…

  • this is unbelievable! I just want to comment on what Rusty said. how fricking racist can one be? the thugs from the south are riding all the “good” people out? do you know how grossly arrogant you sound? this is the horrid thinking that sparks the slanderous rhetoric that is hurting america today and if it is allowed then we’ll let bozos like the tea party movement run the country. you should be ashamed of yourself Rusty and should rethink your view on people. because those”thugs” are people just like you.
As for Rick Perry I am very interseted to see if we the american people will be ignorant enough to believe that this man can run our country. I urge those vehemently opposed to the current administration to really take an objective look at what is going on in american politics.the right wants NOTHING to do with any idea from the left. NOTHING. the US government was set up to work with the most power going to congress. only congress can pass legislature. if congress wont pass legislature, which in my opinion is simply because they dont like a black man running their great nation, then stuff doesnt get done. further the blame should NOT be placed squarely on the guy who is at least trying to get something done, but rather on the people in congress who are robbing the american people from a solution to this economic crisis just to play politics.

    • Tead

I’m not a fan of Rick Perry either, but racism? Anytime I hear that I know theres no substance and its just a desperate comment. Like on MSNBC the other day about Reuters accurately dropping the ‘g’s from Obamas speech to the black caucus. Its true that people are racists on both sides, but Obamas only half black and the Tea Party would be just as vibrant if Hillary Clinton had won the election.
The current house of reps IS passing bills! The Senate is the holdup. The problem is that each president thinks they are the law makers. “This Congress, they are accustomed to doing nothing, and they’re comfortable with doing nothing, and they keep on doing nothing,” Obama, September 15th. The reality is the House is rather active and, “Through September 15, the GOP House had voted 711 times. Meanwhile, across the same period, the Democratic Senate had only 137 recorded votes.” “While House Republicans adopted a budget last April 15, the Democratic Senate has not approved a budget since April 29, 2009″. I don’t really care how active they are though. The federal governments meddling makes up most of the dozen reasons we went into a recession and are probably double dipping. And yes the right wants nothing to do with the left because its plain wrong. Do you really want a government thats becoming more and more powerful? Yeah, most people do as long as they get to impose their will on others. I don’t care what you do in your own house.

      • you dont think Rusty was being racist? i wasnt calling Rick Perry racist but if you read what rusty said about the “thugs from the south” you’d be hard pressed to disagree with my assertion.

  • It will be interesting to see how the race turns out if RP runs

  • Josh

Do your own homework everybody who replied is not a republican but a democrat claiming to be one in order for their statements and claims to sound true!

  • Debra Patrick

I don’t think Rick Perry should be president.Because as concern citizen who is 43 yrs old. The Cps was be able to runover me. I am deadbeat grandmother. When I was raising one grandchild for her entire seven yrs. and other granddaughter her entire three yrs. The mother left the children more than once. The children were calling us grandparents mom and Dad.We didn’t tell them. CPS told us rudely we were grandma and grandpa. My daughter and her exhusband and ex boyfriend. We not in the kids life. So they decide to make it sound like I was keeping them. The father work during the weekend. He made it sound like his visit was short. The other one and his concident girlfriend who like to advertise her body on facebook.Make the story short I wind up getting restraining order where i couldn’t see my granddaughter due to freaking caseworker who only had one child. Think she knew more.I wrote to Rick Perry office and I fax to Rick Perry to investigate this.Instead they know what they are doing. I have to get a freaking attorney when i’m low income. I’m being honest all this. I wake up at night and wonder what my granddaughters are doing. It has been close to year. CPs was willing to help my lying daughter and the fathers. Each day I hear my daughter I’m sorry but she doesn’t have money to pay attorney. But her Attorney Dennis Von Willer made me sound like I am bad grandmother. So Mr. Rick Perry I hope you sleeping at night not believe a citizen asking for help. She lost her grandchildren. From this day Oct.16,2011. I don’t get to see my granddaughter.Who hurting who.

  • Hi Endoftheamericandream,
Thanks for that, Jay Leno and Dave Letterman either haven’t received the DNC memo with their instructions on their Rick Perry ridiculing/talking points or the Democrats haven’t yet decided how and when to draw their long knives to begin the deconstruction of the Texas governor.
    Good Job!

Personally, america is beyond the point of debt, the spending on a few of the chosen options we had at the time was a really a huge cut. the war, oil spill, and smaller dollar costing plans. At this point in time the government would probably be wanting a crazy idea to get our nation out of debt. Rebuplican, or democratic. But Obama swung both ways, and tried to please both parties, but unfortunately we can’t be spendding huge amounts of money. rick perry has some good ideas, he is crazy, but I put more money on him, as a conservitive, than a democrat who is bouncing back and forth. so before this gets any crazier, think about the first order of bussiness, and who, or what can get us out of debt. because obama put both of america’s feet in the hole, so can get us out?

It really is something when people go for the troat and twist/lie about someone who would be the BEST President for this country and get it back on its feet! Liberals want to control, manipulate and destroy America…they hate God and they want power. Are people so willing to believe lies that will take away there freedom? These are lies!

I voted for Perry each time he ran for governor. But at this time I am asking that he pull out of the presidential campaign and throw his support and votes to Newt Gingrich. Thank you Gov. Perry for being the Texas gentleman that we know you are, and supporting someone who can beat Obama.

Any candidate for president that has a congressional or state government record will have made many votes or statements that can be attacked by an opponent. These attacks are usually misleading because they are plucked out of the whole picture of the issues of that time. Our electorate needs to be wise enough to realize that these negative ads are misleading and sometimes fraudulent. Rick Perry is vulnerable because of his long tenure in Texas political offices. Opponents on the attack don’t mention that we have a legislature, governor, Lt. Govenor, attorney general etc. that also shape decisions in Texas.

It does bother me that our electorate is so easily swayed by misleading negative tv ads.
