10 Examples That Should Convince Anyone That We No Longer Live In The Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave

Do you know people that still believe that America is a free country?  Do you have friends or family that are proud to live in “the land of the free and the home of the brave”?  If you do, just show them this article.  The things that you are about to read are enough to make the blood of any red-blooded American boil.  We don’t live in a free country anymore.  Instead, we live in a “Big Brother” police state control grid that is becoming more restrictive every single day.  Most of our politicians seem to be control freaks that are obsessed with running every single little detail of our lives.  These days there has to be a “rule” or a “regulation” for everything.  The radical social engineers in the Soviet Union, Nazi Germany and communist China never even dared to try some of the things that are going on in America today.  We are all being treated little better than cattle and we are all being taught that it is best to just sit in our homes and absorb all of the television “programming” that is being provided for us.  Meanwhile, our public schools have become little more than prison grids.  Our children are being taught to enjoy living as docile slaves in a world where imagination, liberty, freedom and adventure are all greatly discouraged.

Unfortunately, none of this is an exaggeration.  Our politicians love to give speeches about “liberty” and “freedom”, but they always seem to have excuses to justify the endless parade of liberty-killing laws that they are imposing on all the rest of us.

Almost all of the freedoms listed in the Bill of Rights have been severely eroded.  In fact, a number of them are almost totally gone at this point.

The things that you are about to read should make you mad.  In fact, if none of these things make you mad there is a problem.  Sadly, millions of Americans have actually embraced tyranny, and if you are not outraged by any of the items listed below than you are likely one of them.

The following are 10 examples that show that we no longer live in the land of the free and the home of the brave….

#1 According to the ACLU, state police in Michigan are using “extraction devices” to download data from the cellphones of motorists that they pull over.  This is taking place even if those pulled over are not accused of doing anything wrong.

The following is how an article on CNET News describes the capabilities of these “extraction devices”….

The devices, sold by a company called Cellebrite, can download text messages, photos, video, and even GPS data from most brands of cell phones. The handheld machines have various interfaces to work with different models and can even bypass security passwords and access some information.

#2 In the state of New York, the Department of Health has designated wiffle ball, dodge ball, kick ball, freeze tag, red rover, frisbee tossing and tug of war as “risky recreational activities“.  Any organization or program that allows kids to enjoy these games during the summer will now be subject to strict government regulation according to the New York Daily News….

Under the new rules, any program that offers two or more organized recreational activities – with at least one of them on the risky list – is deemed a summer camp and subject to state regulation.

#3 At one public school in the Chicago area, children have been banned from bringing their lunches from home.  Yes, you read that correctly.  Students at that particular school are absolutely prohibited from bringing lunches from home.  Instead, it is mandatory that they eat the food that the school cafeteria serves.

#4 Would you like to have your face scanned and your ID recorded every time you attend a public event?  Don’t laugh.  The San Francisco Entertainment Commission is actually proposing a new rule which “would require all venues with an occupancy of over 100 people to record the faces of all patrons and employees and scan their ID’s for storage in a database which they must hand over to law enforcement on request.”

#5 In Delaware, police and state government officials recently tore a basketball hoop right out of a family’s front yard and carted it away because it was “too close” to the street.  They even extracted the pole for the basketball hoop out of the ground and took that away too.

#6 In Missouri of all places, two young girls named Abigail and Caitlin Mills were recently taught a lesson on how to be good citizens in the emerging totalitarian control grid going up all over the United States.  After a complaint from a neighbor, the city of Hazelwood cracked down on the two girls and told them that they must stop selling girl scout cookies in their own front yard.

#7 As I have written about previously, federal bureaucrats have outlawed the incandescent light bulbs that we all grew up with and will be forcing us to switch over to new CFL (compact fluorescent lamp) light bulbs that are more expensive and that are actually worse for the environment.  One new study conducted by scientists in Germany has shown that the new CFL light bulbs that we are being forced to use contain poisonous carcinogens that are likely cause cancer.  In fact, the German scientists say that these CFL bulbs should be “kept as far away as possible from the human environment”.

#8 Many states are aggressively seizing “unclaimed” safe deposit boxes and are selling off the contents and using the money to pay state government bills.  In the state of California, they are now going after safe deposit boxes if the owners have had “no contact” with the bank for just 3 years.  Other states are being nearly as aggressive.  If you have a safe deposit box that you have not opened in a while you need to go check on it right away.

#9 One Mississippi state judge recently issued an order for state officials to gather and deliver to him the names of every single child that is being homeschooled in the state.  The frightening thing is that the judge did this all on his own.  Nobody requested this information and there is no case pending for which this information would be required.

#10 The TSA had promised that they were going to stop groping little children at airports, but apparently that is not the case.  For example, one 6 year old little girl made headlines recently when a TSA worker touched all of her private areas before allowing her to get on an airplane.  Her parents were forced to stand aside and watch this outrage take place.

So what do all of you think about this list?

Does anyone out there still believe that we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave?

Feel free to leave a comment with your opinion below….

  • Gary

I want the government to TAX THE RICH HARD AND SPREAD THE WEALTH!

Go Obama-Kick Paul (Eddie Munster) Ryan’s reverse robin hood steal from the poor and give to the rich ass!

All recent polls say between 65-81% of the population says we need to raise taxes on the rich before cutting programs for the poor.

    • Bob

Silly Gary. You have no idea how the world works. Money is the incentive for people to work hard by providing society with their labour and/or ideas. The more valuable you are to society the more you get rewarded with money.
Why do you say the successful people are greedy?
Why do you suggest taking away the incentive to make money (taxing people more the more they make)? That will just take away the incentive to work hard and provide society with things they want.

      • Hampson

Bob you really have no idea….

    • Eric

Gary posted his stupid once and left so chill people it’s not even worth the time of day and I think he got lost and posted to the wrong thread instead of the one a click over.

  • EXECUTIVE ORDER 10990 – allows the government to take over all modes of transportation and control of highways and seaports.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10995 – allows the government to seize and control the communication media.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10997 – allows the government to take over all electrical power, gas, petroleum, fuels and minerals.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10998 – allows the government to seize all means of transportation, including personal cars, trucks or vehicles of any kind and total control over all highways, seaports, and waterways.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 10999 – allows the government to take over all food resources and farms.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11000 – allows the government to mobilize civilians into work brigades under government supervision.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11001 – allows the government to take over all health, education and welfare functions.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11002 – designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11003 – allows the government to take over all airports and aircraft, including commercial aircraft.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11004 – allows the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, build new housing with public funds, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11005 – allows the government to take over railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11051 – specifies the responsibility of the Office of Emergency Planning and gives authorization to put all Executive Orders into effect in times of increased international tensions and economic or financial crisis.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11921– allows the Federal Emergency Preparedness Agency to develop plans to establish control over the mechanisms of production and distribution, of energy sources, wages, salaries, credit and the flow of money in U.S. financial institution in any undefined national emergency. It also provides that when a state of emergency is declared by the President, Congress cannot review the action for six months. The Federal Emergency Management Agency has broad powers in every aspect of the nation. General Frank Salzedo, chief of FEMA’s Civil Security Division stated in a 1983 conference that he saw FEMA’s role as a “new frontier in the protection of individual and governmental leaders from assassination, and of civil and military installations from sabotage and/or attack, as well as prevention of dissident groups from gaining access to U.S. opinion, or a global audience in times of crisis.” FEMA’s powers were consolidated by President Carter to incorporate the…

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11310 – grants authority to the Department of Justice to enforce the plans set out in Executive Orders, to institute industrial support, to establish judicial and legislative liaison, to control all aliens, to operate penal and correctional institutions, and to advise and assist the President.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 11049 – assigns emergency preparedness function to federal departments and agencies, consolidating 21 operative Executive Orders issued over a fifteen year period.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 12148 – created the Federal Emergency Management Agency to interface with the Department of Defense for civil defense planning and funding. An “emergency czar” was appointed. FEMA has only spent about 6 percent of its budget on national emergencies. The bulk of their funding has been used for the construction of secret underground facilities to assure continuity of government in case of a major emergency, foreign or domestic.

EXECUTIVE ORDER 12656 – appointed the National Security Council as the principal body that should consider emergency powers. This allows the government to increase domestic intelligence and surveillance of U.S. citizens and would restrict the freedom of movement within the United States and grant the government the right to isolate large groups of civilians. The National Guard could be federalized to seal all borders and take control of U.S. air space and all ports of entry.

    EXECUTIVE ORDER 12919 – Collects EOs 10995, 10997, 10998, 10999, 11000, 11001, 11002, 11003, 11004, 11005 and 11051 together into one new Executive Order.

National Security Act of 1947 – allows for the strategic relocation of industries, services, government and other essential economic activities, and to rationalize the requirements for manpower, resources and production facilities.

1950 Defense Production Act – gives the President sweeping powers over all aspects of the economy.

Act of August 29, 1916 – authorizes the Secretary of the Army, in time of war, to take possession of any transportation system for transporting troops, material, or any other purpose related to the emergency.

International Emergency Economic Powers Act – enables the President to seize the property of a foreign country or national. These powers were transferred to FEMA in a sweeping consolidation in 1979.

As a military retiree, I KNEW we were no longer in the home of the free and the brave when the US military was sent into an unnecessary war of choice in Iraq that was based on LIES. Supporting the troops means NOT sending them into an unnecessary war. Sadly, Bush and all the NeoCon criminals who created the nightmare in Iraq will go unpunished because too many Americans continue to believe the LIES. Bush, Perle, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Feith, Tenet, Wolfowitz and Rice should all be prosecuted ****************** by the criminal justice system in America for war crimes.

  • If I had the money I’d leave this place.

  • JP

Honestly at this point I just don’t care anymore. I have come to realize that while this is indeed going on it is going on with the 100% compliance of the American people. The people want it or they would be fighting back and since they arn’t even paying attention then your best bet would be to pack up and move to S. America. Run while you still can or just get used to it because we are passed the point of no return.

  • PatriotRider

I want all poor people that pay no taxes to start pulling their own weight and pay taxes like the rest of us; Especially Gary.

We need to eliminate all programs that give money to anyone that does not pay taxes; ie. people like Gary.

Cut off the government dependent & non-tax paying citizens until they are able to contribute to the system.

    • Bob

The problem with that is that crime will go way up. Also, the children of theses people would be born without a chance, guaranteed to enter a life of crime.

  • roadrunner

And with all the above, certain Senators?Congressmen are castigating the founder of Facebook because he wants to expand into China, of all places, and do business there. Zuccerberg wont have anything to do with so-called “human rights” issues, thats why he is getting the heat from Congress. Well….what about GM?

  • Ed

You can’t even live in a tent on your own property in Kansas because they say there is no ‘proper’ sewage disposal.

  • “Almost all of the freedoms listed in the Bill of Rights have been severely eroded. In fact, a number of them are almost totally gone at this point”.

The Second Amendment still lives. It exists as a remedy for just this sort of tyranny.

  • I highly agree with this article.
People need to find ways to barter. Just use a means of exchange. Not invent barter dollars. Whatever each party is accepting.

  • john

gary doesn’t have a job nor does he intend to work for his well being. But he does want others to pay for his incompetence.

  • Gary

U and soe toro can SUcK it

    Tax the lazy

Cut off all money subsidized housing free this that etc.Stop stealing money from the people to give to other nation countries – what ever.
We’re broke but have all the money to keep giving away? NO money to terrorist – like is rael= 4 once

  • joe

  • Elihu

    Tilt! The Libs are loose…

  • I have a project to try and influence the social mood to stop this crap from happening. Go to this site and follow the free and easy instructions, tell everyone you can to do likewise, and could the owners of this site feature my project?

  • xander cross

Ah, its nothing wrong with the police state as long as the NBA finals, The NFL season, Baseball, Hockey, Lady Gaga, The move awards, HBO and Cinemax and the new harry potter movie. All is well for the tea party, hey, donald trump wants to take oil from the middle east and that means more wars for years to come. Hey, it’s what the tea party and ron paul supporters like. After all, most tea party members go into target and buy over three hundred dollars worth of candy, ky gel, and tons of stuff made in china and they put it on credit. You don’t me, well just go inside a target, wal-mart, k-mart, dollar general, and you see my point. Gas is not going up at all. :)

  • xander cross

Oh, I forgot to metioned all of the comupter buying on credit from best buy made in china of course. Oh fun it is to have credit and make the minimum payment. After all, look who does it all the time, ron paul supporters, tea party members.

  • Mr Carpenter

Add this information to #10 above.

    And ignore the Troll, Gary.

  • Dusty

There are two distinct groups of “the Rich”. The unjustly rich and the justly rich. I believe the justly rich are over burdened in many areas and the unjustly rich (large multinational corporations & upper level management, Wall Street Brokers and central banks to start) are not taxed nearly enough. The corruption in our own Government is so entrenched that it matters not who is “at the helm”. BOTH the ‘Left AND the ‘Right’ are equal partners of the two party dictatorship we call our Government. Society is at a crossroad and it appears we will not choose the ‘best’ past. This EVIL Government should be abolished. We MUST take what is left of our once great nation and rebuild her. I could go on a rant for 5000 more words but it is up to one’s self to question and investigate the actual facts. Abandon organizational ideals and think for your self. Most of responsible governance is little more than common sense.

    • Eric

Well and wisely said I agree almost completely, sadly I find my self with no interest in saving this nation we live in it just doesn’t feel worth the trouble. I’d rather spend my effort growing strong enuf to protect my self and those I love…..and how shall I say it?

*You are free to roam about the world* that would be great ^_^ ………will be.

  • Christian

Can someone please delete the moronic first comment above? Its idiots like him that are killing this country. He is even posting false made up statistics. 65-81% is such a blatant lie. Gets your facts straight idiot…

  • Stephanie

I would hope to God that Gary was being sarcastic – or else you got liberals reading your website. And did you hear Napolitano just said recently that it is okay and good to grope and fondle little children?

Our country is going to shit – ain’t no doubt – will be sharing your article!

  • V4Vendetta

As long as people keep voting these left/right paradigm globalist stooges into office, we will continue to be robbed by the rich. Obama recently gave even MORE tax breaks to the rich and it’s not going to stop until WE STOP IT by putting someone like Ron Paul into office to replace them. Sadly, I think if he wins in 2012, they will *********** him like they did Kennedy so the only hope remaining for the american people, and the rest of the world will be Almighty God!

  • lb

I hope you are being sarcastic. Otherwise, you are an absolute idiot.

  • johndoe

    Above comment is ridiculous.

    Great article.

Come on grassroots, dont let me down.

  • Loadnabox

“All recent polls say between 65-81% of the population says we need to raise taxes on the rich before cutting programs for the poor.”

Is this result surprising? That’d be as surprising as the results of asking two wolves and sheep about what to have for dinner. Of course everyone is going to vote to take money away from someone else and give it to them.

As for the list, It’s very good, I agree with all but the basketball hoop. In that case the state had suffered law suits from car on pedestrian accidents resulting from people putting basketball hoops facing into busy(ish) residential streets.
In this case tort reform -might- have made more sense, but taken in context, the states’ law, and subsequent actions when home owners put up new hoops after the law and ignored warnings, is more of a Darwinian result IMHO.

  • Ted

Gary you are a kool aid drinking tool. Obama will destroy our country. taxing the rich would mean higher prices for everything you buy. You really think the rich won’t just pass this down?

Another thing to think about why should a rich person be treated any different than a poor one? Both are US Citizens, both have 1 vote wouldn’t that mean that everyone should be taxed evenly percentage wise?

    Obama is a FOOL

  • Desert Rat

I don’t know if I could have sat there and watched my little girl be groped by some freak at the TSA. I’d probably be in jail right now.

    • Eric

Nor should you have ………….*grrr* no one should. The bottom line I think it hoping and striving to have the mental and physical ability’s to allow you to do the right thing and get out fairly unscathed.

I think in that one you calmly interrupt the asshat touching your child, take your family and walk towards the nearest exit *&%^ the details.

  • SierraCheryl

Gary, you are a moronic idiot. Sorry to be so harsh but darn it, you and your ilk are destroying our beloved nation more than the politicians. I won’t bother to refute your comment as it is just a waste of my time. Quit spouting the talking points of the rabid left and do a due diligence on your own. You will see taxing the rich won’t solve a darn thing.

  • Momma G

I wish people would be angry with those parents who allowed the TSA to molest their child. We know that there is a possibility that people will be molested going in. I would rather drive for 20 hours than let some maggot put his hands between my daughters’ (I have 5 girls – and a boy) legs. The TSA is wrong to allow this to happen but so are the parents. They need to be smacked upside their thick skulls.

Our babies are not up for grabs in this issue or ANY issue. Adults need to fight this fight, not children. Shame on those parents.

  • Mr Carpenter

No comments about the TSA employee who purposely and intentionally admitted that he and others hacked into a Christian man’s Facebook account and posted a bunch of sodom and gomorrah “words” and worse, pornographic pictures – in a facebook account which is well known to be frequented by CHILDREN?

Surely there must be Federal laws against that sort of thing – there are now literally hundreds of thousands of pages of laws which makes everyone a criminal subject to punishment at the whim of the powers that be, now.

But of course, we Christians already know the end result will be

    a) the story won’t get into the mainstream media until and unless it becomes entirely viral online
    b) the federal government hires reprobates because it is run by reprobates; they won’t punish one of their own for “acting naturally” but don’t you dare do anything wrong, joe or jane doe!
    c) if he’d been even more foolish and put this into a MUSLIM person’s facebook account, he’d be in prison right now
    d) we Christians already know whom we are the enemy of and it speaks volumes that our governing people count us (and gold bugs, and patriots, and veterans, and people who believe in the constitution) as ‘enemies of the state’.

    • Admin

Unfortunately persecution of Christians has become “trendy”.

It is happening all over the world every single day and the mainstream news basically totally ignores it.

    • Bob

I cannot respect anyone that believes in fairy tales. Unless they are a child of course.

  • Brant

I’m part of the rich. Not only do I not agree but I do not give you consent or sanction to take from me. If you wish to have this done, you’ll have to use the barrel of a gun to do so (or, because you are a coward, you’ll have to have the government do so in place of you). Let’s see how “moral” it is when you force people by a gun to provide for others.

Why should I give the wealth I earned to another?

What do I get in return for giving my wealth to another?

Why doesn’t other men serve theirselves and dig theirselves out of the rut they are in? America is full of stories of the most poor and inopportunistic people making a life for theirselves.

Why would it be moral for me to sacrifice my wealth and labor to the service of others?

Why would it be moral for YOU to sacrifice MY wealth and labor to the service of others?

Why would you think a man would be better served by getting handouts than accepting the responsibility to help himself out?

Is no man due the benefits or products of his labor and mind?

Is no man worthy or moral unless he becomes completely selfless and is the sacrificial animal to any cannibal that claims right to his life?

  • Brant

Furthermore, it wouldn’t matter is 99.9999% of people agreed to do something to others here in this country. We are not supposed to be “mob ruled”, we are supposed to be ruled by objective law.

The majority cannot enslave to minority (and the individual is the smallest minority). Nor can the minority cannot enslave the majority (special interests, lobbyists, moneymen).

  • Marilynn

Desert Rat, the problem is not so much where YOU would be, but where your little girl would be. The pedophile scum would make sure she was put in “safe” custody. That’s why parents have to grind their teeth and bear it. That’s also why I wouldn’t fly with children these days. What happened to the old-fashioned family motor trip?

    • Eric

I feel your point for the most part but a slight hitch. It’s a bit more of a commitment to go ground transport outside north america. >.>

  • YourMother

oh what a terrible idea tax the rich, all of you yelling at gary to stop “feeding of the sysytem” why don’t you take a second to stand back and think why the top 1% of americans own more wealth the bottom 95%, in the last year as the average american struggled to survive the median salary for CEOs went up 27%. so because these elitists more times than not were born into welathy families, had advantages most of us don’t, had connections most of us don’t, had access to mommy and daddys funds, they deserve to be rich because “they worked so hard.” Tell that to the laborers who know what a day of hard work really is, tell that to the poor men’s sons who serve in the military and are used as pawns in the rich’s game of risk. and i dare any of you to try to “milk the system” and survive on unemployment or federal assistance because let me tell you, the crumbs they feed people, these people are alive, but it ain’t livin. So yes let the rich keep all their lavish decadence while the man in his own town struggles to feed his family. all i have to ask is when did people taking care of other people become such a bad thing, since when did socialism become a bad word. if socialism is used as a means to redistribute the wealth a bit to help those impoverished struggling to survive there is no bad to that. it is when socialism is used as a tool to redistribute the wealth to the government that it becomes a bad thing. but regardless if the wealth was redistributed to the government it would then be redistributed to the banking elite through the private federal system which is single handedly making sure a redistribution of wealth will happen. so all of you who think you are rich and safe will see once stagflation comes to a mount and useless fiat currency collapses you will be no different then that “parasite” sucking on the teet of big sister. if we took care of each other in the first place there would be no need for your hated welfare state.

  • FoxNude

Well obviously this isn’t an open minded forum for intellectual conversations, so I’m just passing through,I’d rather be doing Mensa Puzzles.

Gary AND Xander cross don’t know WTF they’re talking about- I am a tea party participant, have NEVER had a credit card, and have always been fiscally responsible, the tea party’s main objective. I owe no one a damn dime, am semi-retired @ 48 years old- I must have done something right..my house and cars have been paid off for years, paid for in cash. Those two douchebags need to go empty their drool cups- they’re over-flowing …keep chugging the kool-aid you two fools, while our country goes down in flames, due to Curious george in the white hizzle and the rest of his commie ilk ..disgusting …

  • I am a 70 year old and have seen a lot .Parents that let their kids do and say as they please while they are lavishing them with things, case being I have a daughter who was taught how to respect work and have pride in herself and her country She does and does not spend her time running down the USA Yes guys she actually works and helps to pay for all those layabouts on assistance! who pay no taxes! Get a life

  • WM

To all who made comments about welfare people getting off their butts and pulling their own weight, I agree 100%. This is what I want to convey to our leaders here in CT, who keep taxing and taxing, all the while you still witness endless streams of welfare checks to the lazy who want the government to keep them fed and their diapers changed. Check out this link, of a proposed tax on antique vehicles that our leaders are proposing….a 400% increase!!!!

Many of you have made some good comments about the fact that certain people keep voting incompetance into office, and also that it appears that most Americans are just accepting the way things are and allowing the “leaders” to do whatever they want.

  • bob grill

None of the candidates talka bout crime. What it doesn’t exsist? Bernie Goetz was a hero.

Imagine all those executive orders that Gutter Economist mentioned, all concentrated in the hands of one person. In effect, they already are, since they are EXECUTIVE orders, and the President would have to sign them into law in order to make them effective.

That would make the President of the United States of America a dictator. Scary!!!

  • $$$

@ Sierra: If taxing the rich won’t solve a darn thing, then taxing anyone shouldn’t solve anything. So…..no taxes for anyone! Your brilliance has left me speechless.

The rich need to pay taxes like anyone else. They shouldn’t get out of it because you think they will magically pass the savings down to us. We live in a country full of infrastructure and other services, so we all need to throw in on keeping it nice.

  • josh

Unfortunately the only idiots here are everyone aside from Gary. I guarantee not a single person who posted a comment on this site is part of the wealthy elite but they think they are and fear higher taxes. What we need to do is tax wealth at 1% we would be out of debt! Pull your heads out of your arses and smell the stank air that our capitalistic ways have left in their wake because a new world order is on the horizon and America will not be on top after that boat comes in.

  • dom

honestly, USA are never been a country of freedom
it’s been only a propaganda idea

USA is the country that grow up
killing the original people of that land
    using slavery
just in the ’60 black people got the right to vote
most of the people in the usa don’t even have the money to afford decent medical care

USA is the country where riches rules and poor/midle class are abused

  • Sof

Wed yourself to your own property and defend it to the death. Do not ever fear death! Defend yourself and everything will be OK!

  • A.S.

All of them are terrible, and some, take away your amendment rights, particularly the school lunch one, away from parents to raise their children as they see if.

Suppose the child is vegetarian, or vegan, or allergic to many things? Is the school going to provide a special lunch for this child? Or if the child likes healthy eating on their own and finds the “healthy school lunch” as 100% junk food and/or poison! Will the school provide to the child’s criteria as well? Or if the child is so allergic to many things, that even one microgram will send him/her to the hospital! Will the school provide a completely sterile environment free of any food that will cause the problem? Or what if the child keeps kosher or hallal or whatever other religious eating standards there are. Will the school provide that as well? In this case, this stupid law goes against religious freedom!!! G-d willing this school will used for billions of dollars for this heinous aggression! The government has no right to dictate eating standards to anyone!

  • Guido

This article is somewhat flawed. While I think most of us can agree with the tone and the message, the facts don’t support the contention of the author.

Most of the examples listed are, in fact, taken from the state and local level, NOT the fedgov level. Only 2 are federal issues, while the rest are State. While I’m all for liberty and justice and mom and apple pie, you have to keep in mind the division between the fedgov, which should be very limited and weak, versus the state and lower gov, which has all other powers not delegated to the fedgov. The states and localities reserve the right to make up any retarded law they wish to pass.

That’s how we get Florida passing out superhero capes to the homeless, NYC trying to ban guns in colors other than black, TN telling people they can make any weapon they want as long as it doesn’t leave the state, TX passing what some consider a religious-based public education program, WI forcing state employees to invest in their benefits, VA banning gay adoption, MD offering in-state tuition to illegal aliens, and AZ saying they’re going to have their cops check immigrant status.

While you may not support what they do, you have a simple way to stop this stuff-PARTICIPATE! You can still organize your best friends and idiological fellow travelers to do anything from picking a new state bird to trying to stop development of a wetland to getting a road renamed or banning tobacco in all restaurants and bars as many states have done.

Next, I want to point out that Americans have never really wanted to be too free. It’s sad, but true, Americans don’t like freedom. I hate that about you people, but you don’t like to be free to make too many decisions.

Recently, I read an article linked to Drudge where a reporter noted many Americans are glad to turn over their decision-making authority to the fedgov when it comes to medicine. They don’t want to make the choices-which sounds completely insane to me, but plausible, since I know a lot of people hate having to be responsible.

I just look at the rise of the Home Owner Association for proof that Americans are happy to turn over their freedom. Under the HOA, you can’t repaint or landscape or remodel your house if you wish, the way you wish. You can’t choose where to park or how your lawn will look or even when to mow your lawn. They have rules to govern every aspect of your life there and can fine and even seize your property if you refuse to obey.

I currently live in one of these communities and I hate it, while many people love the idea of insuring their neighbors don’t enjoy themselves too much. I think planned communities are one of our greatest errors.

I think these communities are awful. Every home looks identical, the neighbors know everything about each other, or at least think they do (I learned I was a golf-playing retired General from one neighborhood girl), and there are ample opportunities for drama. My coworker, for example, was actively stalked by an ignorant lout of a neighbor when she made the cardinal error of putting fliers on her neighbors’ doors requesting they not put their trash in front of her parking spot on trash day.

Another example-blue laws. I grew up in the South. I like the South, but what I always hated were the blue laws. Many of the more dated ones have been allowed to die quietly, like the dry county law of my youth. When I was little, you couldn’t buy alcohol in my town. If you wanted a drink in a restaurant, you had to bring it to the restaurant in a bag and keep it under the table. Nice establishments even had booze clubs where you could join, rent a locker, and keep your booze stored for your next visit.

Other blue laws remain, however, like the ban on alcohol sales on Sunday. Or the ban on gambling. Or state-run liquor stores. Bans on adult clubs. Blue laws limit freedom. Even when they’re well-intended, and many of them are lingering reminders of a more homogenous time when government emphasized Christian morals, blue laws are anti-freedom. I think we should be willing to accept that not everyone subscribes to our moral values and let them do what they want as long as it doesn’t violate actual laws. If someone drinks or gambles or goes to an adult club, it doesn’t really effect me.

While I understand their fear for my soul, it’s not the government’s job to legislate morality. Blue laws and their supporters are inherently anti-freedom. In a truly free society, we would accept that people will do things we hate and mind our own business.

How many people do you know who mind their own business? If you live in an average neighborhood, probably not many.

Another point-Health. Americans are willing to tell other people what to do and even eliminate their rights when it comes to health. We all have a high standard of health in mind, if not in our own bodies, and we’re willing to support eliminating other peoeple’s freedom to do something bad for their health.

Remember the popcorn fight in the 1990s? Liberals stated popcorn was a dangerous health risk and forced all movie theaters to dump popcorn made with coconut oil, which really did make a better popcorn. They wanted to stop restaurants from selling mexican food and steak, too.

How about tobacco? Sure, it can be harmful to the user, although my dad’s 50-year 2-pack-a-day habit (successfully kicked) and George Burns’ decades of cigar smoking would indicate it works differently for different people. Tobacco is roundly hated in most circles, but it’s still a legal product. The states even benefit from its sale, since it generates tax revenue.

If it’s legal, why are the states, led by NY and CA, trying to ban all public use of it? And why aren’t restaurants and bars and business owners allowed to decide if they’ll permit its use in their establishments? If you like freedom, you should accept that some people will do things you don’t like and prepare to choose for yourself which places you’ll frequent or work.

And, finally, how about helmet laws? Why shouldn’t we have the freedom to possibly kill ourselves? There’s no reason to force safety on people. Permit them to choose and accept when they die from making a bad choice. That’s real freedom-you take responsibility for yourself and you pay for it if and when something happens.

Of course, this would require us to drop the entitlement mindset that others should pay for our healthcare. This is probably not likely, since people don’t like that whole responsibility thing.

Americans have been more than happy to give away their freedom for security. Some of they turned over their freedom for special attention at the airport-Trusted Traveler, anyone? And they’ll throw out their privacy in exchange for some glitzy social networking website or youtube.

If we end up in chains, it will be because we forged them ourselves one link at a time, completely willingly, and in exchange for some minor benefit, perhaps some attention online.

    • Eric

Thought u just posted a wall of text there for a second but…quite interesting thoughts and I agree and feel the same on quite a bit, covy communities mother of god. Or helmet laws I wear a helmet because when your really riding you need it if you wanna keep riding. LOL

But really I just wanted to say that I think the restrictions on our freedom are our own responsibility on a even more fundamental level. Personal beliefs, habits, and fears hold us back far more I believe than our twisted government ever could.

On that note tho I’m very touchy about my freedom and while we all have the right to give it up we also have the right to seek freedom with out question or complication.

Peoples view on the law also bothers me greatly, I suppose because I don’t want to fall back into the trap of believing it my self. That illegal =’s wrong it’s really as simple as that the true purpose of laws isn’t first and foremost to guide and protect but to control the masses *aka me and probably u* in a way that makes who ever passed said laws feel better. Just like the primary duty of law enforcement isn’t to serve and protect ….Lol….but to root out abnormality’s that disturb the current order.

Example the homeless or those living out of their cars. They are almost universally nonthreatening unless you consider a higher chance of petty theft primarily food or alcohol a threat. But there are endless cases of them being abused by LE one case I heard of recently was a man living out of his care was pulled over and released, well the cop sent out a letter requesting that his licence be revoked.

*Sigh* I suppose like many others googling things like this. I’m simply sick the the stupefying restrictions are species puts on it’s self and the abuse it inflicts on it’s own and some days it makes me sad to be a human, in with the rest of the bunch.

In the end I simply want to become stronger do what I like and live as free as I can with as much fight as I have in me and I wish the best of luck to anyone desiring more freedom.

I want to point some things out about taxes.

First, I think everyone should be paying them. I don’t care if you only make a dime a year, the gov’t deserves a share because everyone should be paying for receiving services and just plain being here. If you’re a citizen, it’s your duty.

I also don’t think it’s fair to target the wealthy for a disproportionate amount of taxes. It’s not the government’s place, or even the public’s place, to decide that certain citizens need to be forced to pay more than others.

It smacks of mob rule and class warfare and that’s not what we’re supposed to be about. As a Republic, we’re not supposed to be about mob rule (That’s the definition of democracy, mob rule) and as a nation that enshrines the right of the individual and his right to make whatever he can of himself, class warfare should be the furthest thing from our minds. While some are rich, that’s supposed to be a good thing, not a sin. You should want to achieve success, not destroy others for their success.

If we are going to decide to make the successful among us pay a disproportionate share of the tax burden, shouldn’t they get something more for their “contribution?” It doesn’t seem right to be forced to pay half or more of your wealth to the gov in taxes and not get anything for it. It seems little different from a bribe, which used to be something we thought was bad.

I do think we need to make people pay what they owe, but for some reason nothing happens to a Tim Geithner or a Charles Rangel when they’re caught not paying their fair share. Were I to avoid paying my taxes, they would come with guns. When those guys do it, it’s just a mistake. Even Obama, who claims he wants to pay more as a rich guy, worked his taxes so he could avoid over $100,000 in taxes. (Just a hint Barry-you can always volunteer to pay more if you feel like it…)

Also, the statistics say this year we had a majority of households paying no taxes. More people are riding free of charge while the rest of us work our asses off. That’s not justice. That’s BS. Why should I have to work and pay taxes, while others get a free ride? Why should someone try to succeed when their failure to try is underwritten by the government free of charge?

When I read the Constitution, the 14th Amendment promises me equal treatment before the law. We’re supposed to all be treated equal. So why do some people pay nothing, while others pay a vast majority of their income? That seems inherently unjust. And let’s not forget the bonanza some corporations, like Obama favorite, GE, enjoy in low or no taxes. Shouldn’t everyone have to pay the same? I think that would be fair.

Enter the Fair Tax. The Fair Tax is a proposal to scrap the IRS and replace it with a 23-24% national sales tax on all purchases. Collected like sales tax, the Fair Tax would only be collected on purchases of new items and would never touch savings.

It’s set up to be fair across the board-if you spend 1 dollar or a billion, you pay the same percentage. The tax is calculated to be so successful, it factors in a 1000-1500 prebate to cover the basic costs of living.

The Fair Tax works because it rewards savings-which is the opposite of the ridiculous evil system we live under now. The current IRS code is so big, even its enforcers can’t tell you what it says-no man alive knows the entire IRS code. It fills up shelves of US Code volumes. The Fair Tax could replace that with hundreds, perhaps a few thousand pages.

Finally, I want to point out that Franklin once prophesied the nation would be over when the voters realized they could vote money from the treasury to their pockets. I think we’re there. And the politicians are happy to offer free money in exchange for votes.

The only way to end this evil situation is, to my mind, to revoke citizenship from those who are on the dole. If you’re not paying taxes, you’re not a full citizen and ineligible to vote in elections.

For many of these people, I’m sure the freedom to vote is no particular loss in exchange for free money. Perhaps you don’t get to go to state and fed-funded educational institutions? What if you don’t get to drive a car, since the roads are paid for with taxes and the enforcement of traffic safety and vehicle licensing is paid for with taxes?

The power to tax is the power to destroy. Only be neutralizing this power can we hope to preserve this nation.

As a buisness owner,I provide employment for people who want to work. Get the picture!! WANT to work, to provide for the family and the community. I am taxed to death. My health insurance payments through BC BS ARE $2150.00 per month. I have to pay this on a monthly basis, just for my family. If I don’t this taxachusettes state will fine me 2000.00, and take it of my tax refund. THAT’s $25800.00 per year. SHOULD I HAVE TO GIVE AWAY MONEY I HAVE EARNED TO SOMEONE WHO STAYS AT HOME AND COLLECTS
Small buisness owners are the backbone of this country. We provide the employment and take the risks everyday , just staying in business.
IT’S NOT UP TO THE GOVERNMENT TO PROVIDE JOBS FOR US. The only thing politicians should do is listen to the people in the area’s they represent, and do what the people want. Most of them , after 1 year in office start campaigning
    for the next term.
The so called polititians are suppose to be helping keep AMERICAN’S working. The only thing they keep doing is stacking law ontop of law, and tax on top of tax.

  • vincent

The only fair way to do things is a “fair tax”. 10% of what you earn…if you make a 100$ you pay 10$.. if you make 100,000$ you pay 10,000$.. its just that easy..everybody pays their fair share

  • mother

Nothing is beyond repair. We are still here and more powerful than most know. We can create our future. We have to start somewhere. But we have to come together. United we do stand, and against nothing, we are FOR something: the common good. Ron Paul / Jesse Ventura 2012. We have the power to write in who we want. We can make the difference. We are significant. Act with understanding, care, courage, and love, never with anger.

  • Level 32

Ah okay…Couple things to remember for a few of these…Regulations are a part of being governed. We may not always agree with them but unfortunately there are a few of the disorderly crowd that seem to make it challenging for all of us. With so many people filing law suits it’s no wonder tag and the rest of them are now considered “Risky Activities.” Maybe if we’d stop suing for everything that wouldn’t be a provision. While you may like basketball people driving down the street don’t like driving into children and I’m sure neither do the children. There’s nothing tyrannical about street regulations! Yes not being able to sell girl scout cookies in their backyard is dumb yes the light bulbs are bad yes phone trackers and the Patriot act are unconstitutional but TSA? What does it take? Does it take them strapping a bomb to a child and that child killing hundreds of people or maybe just a reality check that children are participants in the war too…Which do you really prefer?

    • tdot

k guy, u are too cozy. open ur eyes and wake up. seriously. wat r u gonna do wen ur sentenced to jail for eating a neighbor’s cookie? Say, oh, I shouldn’t have ate that cookie? Im gonna b in jail for, like, 40 years but thats okay?
And regardless of whether we live in peace or in a third world country- its total tyranny. U need to deal with the reality of it and suck it up when other ppl have something to say about it.

    • Eric

      OK one at a time.

Filing lawsuits does not in a sane world equal freeze tag becoming state reg’d* it equals people who file stupid lawsuits getting their wrists slapped like they deserve. Regulating children’s games like that is laughable period.

Do people put up some dumb stuff in their yards? *Thinks about my yard* I happen to have a 8 foot hole in my backyard right now because I get the occasional desire to see bed rock. Should cops be coming in and carting off your property? Uhm hell no who wants to bet hoop is in a cops back yard right now? Why not apply some common sense we’re all fans of that right or at least we all claim to be ^_^ you give the people warnings you explain it to them and failing that you take the sucker down by force fine them for your trouble and stick the hoop against their house.

Now the one pissing me off. Are you telling me a little girl needs to get her vagina felt up to check for contraband? In public much less? OHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PLEASE your telling me with all the tech, training and ….*cough common sense* that could be easily applied such things need ever happen? Or how about a compromise for the love of god you really think somethings wrong you ask the child and their guardian to either leave or come to a private room were you get a same gender guard to stand at a distance

  • Acirema

……So why is it horrible to tax the rich again?
Honestly, poor people can barely put food on the table, even with the help. Ever heard about those people that have two, three jobs just to support their family? Those are the ones on wellfare, the ones who really don’t need all their money being taken away by the government.
Now most of you probably think that the rich getting taxed means that you’ll get taxed. But honestly, do you really think that ALL of you are in that top 1% that totally deserve to get taxed? No. The ones that legit need to be taxed are the ones who are making millions, the ones that have bunches of homes, the ones who have five cars per person. Those are the assholes that need to spread the wealth, not you people, who frankly, sound barely ‘upper class.’ The ones who need the taxing are the ones that’re getting rich off all of our money, and not giving it back.
Now tell me, now do you think it’s so horrible to tax the rich?

I love America, but I’ll tell you what.
It’s racist, religionist, sexist, anti-gay, and anti-choice, against anyone that’s not a white, old, christian man.
That is exactly why, as soon as I get the chance, I am moving out of this country, and I will refuse to come back, until I get the chance to live in a REAL democracy. Not one where only the most elite idiots rule, and where the rest flop over and let it happen.
I want freedom. It’s sad that I would have to move OUT of the Land of the Free to get it.

  • 32 you child molesting pig

32 you satanic bastard, if you ever make it to the next world i will make your life miserable

  • The loss of freedom started from the moment Lincoln falsely claimed that no state could leave the union of its own motion, and the congress did not challenge. We have been systematically removing our freedoms and liberties for over a century. The indoctrination of generations by liberal media and academia has pushed us into a socialist “nation of states”. We are now controlled by indebted entitlement and without severe and substantial change to restore constitutionality we are doomed to failure.

Osama Bin Laudin was spot on when he warned America we would be attacked in a manner unfathomable by us westerners. The scope and breadth of the attack will bring America and Israel to its knees.

The attack?; Is the election of Obama! Made possible by the infection in America called liberalism.

Americans who believe this government owes you a living are part of the attack on America.

Seeking to overcome adversity by taxing producers and the successful is either an act of madness or a purposeful attack on this country.

51% of American voters should be ashamed of themselves.

    • gloner

Americans don’t believe the Government owes them a living; they believe America owes them a living. After all, that’s what America is all about, right? That’s why immigrants have been coming here, including our own ancestors. The day you forget that is the day you’re just buying into the media propaganda that the US is great, just wear your flagpin, support the wars, and don’t pay any attention to the elite who work for rich multinational corporations who will be sitting pretty while you die alone and abused in some retirement home.

  • Police state? We have no clue what a police state is. While in the service, I saw a satellite image of one neighborhood in russia. there seemd to be a line of people that went for about 10 city blocks. The caption, indicated that oranges and toilet paper were now available for their citizens.

If you abide by the law, no worries, they are looking for Osama, not you.

    • gloner

What a bad example of a police state. It’s just a country with economic problems, and the govt is helping its people. Would you rather there be no government help in bad economic times, and if you can’t afford Carl’s Jr. then too bad? Good grief.
America is very much becoming a police state–look at all the TV programs dedicated to cops and prison shows–just like they’re indoctrinating us to get used to prison, because eventually, that’s where many of us will end up once we fight the system. I’m half-serious here.

    • tdot

i luv how u guys always compare america to countries like russia to prove a point (sarcastic). wat next? “atleast we aren’t Canada?”

    • Eric

Lol alright lets say no one here excluding you understands the definition of a police state. Yes I am sneering at you with that statement btw. Anyhow working under that theory plz explain how that changes anything? Our basic rights as people are being trampled on our privacy invaded, our youth brainwashed and the list goes on but I think you get the point.

  • Jeff

Listen to some of you. Whatever someone’s level of wealth, assuming it was earned within legal means, what right to their money do you think you have? Just to preclude any attacks that I am a rich guy, I am NOT wealthy- I live in a small mobile home with 3 other adults and my wife and I both work and own only one car – but I have no perverse belief that the guy down the road who has an expensive car(s) and huge house OWES ME ANYTHING AT ALL.

Acirema- you are right, the USA is NOT a democracy! Nor was it intended to be one, nor would it be good if it were so. It is a democratic republic, though ignorant, greedy, self-righteous, barely-disguised socialists are trying to beat the drum of “democracy” to change our country into a Statist’s ideal of utopia. So, Acerema, if you are leaving the country, please take a few more racist, class-warfaring Statists with you.

Level32- the TSA you would defend? What indignity or what violation of your rights are you willing to suffer, just so that you can feel safe? Ben Franklin said that he who would sacrifice his freedoms for the sake of security will receive neither- he was right. Here is an uncomfortable fact: all the “stops” on airline terrorism since 9-11 have been made by the PASSENGERS, NOT the rent-a-cops at the terminals.

For those of you who believe in the Welfare utopia: since more and more are receiving subsistence than ever before, since government spends more on so-called “entitlements” than ever before (and more than on even our military), why haven’t things gotten better?

The socialist/liberal always has the answer to all our problems as being bigger government, more redistribution of wealth, and more taxes on the “rich” (which is usually defined as someone who has more than you). Just under HALF of us don’t pay any income taxes, and many of those actually receive money, instead.

Here is the nasty surprise coming for all of us: with entitlement spending now MORE than income tax revenues, with the debt level now reaching the point where we are unable to pay, the PONZI SCHEME is about to unravel. What makes this even more immoral is that we have done this to our children and our grandchildren; we have spent THEIR money, and given away THEIR freedoms.

Now that almost half of the USA either pays no taxes or actually GETS money from the government (read: from their fellow citizen), I have doubts that we will be able to pull our Republic out of it’s financial and social death-spiral.

    • C

      you are right on!

    • gloner

What right do you have to someone else’s wealth?
The same right they think they have to hire you for peanuts. You have no problem with giving your labor away for nothing, but you condemn others who want a share of the profits these greedy scumbags have made on the backs of the working class. Wake up. You’re falling for the conservative media propaganda which vilifies the working poor, the welfare “mommas”, which ignores corporate welfare and the atrocious military spending, even after the Cold War has ended. Worried about where your money’s going? Focus on the big players. Plus, many of them don’t pay any taxes either–not because they make so little (like the poor), but because they have loopholes written for them.

    • Eric

Oops reading jeffs post made me realize I forgot to mention that if security is so tight you need to be groping six year old’s then how come I flew out and back into the US on a expired ID oh and then did some state hoping with it as well no one even blinked. Till I used it in vegas, a clerk a casino was the first to notice. Lol

Makes me want to try flying using my gym membership perhaps that would cross the line?

Gary , you need to reread the story of Robin Hood. He did NOT steal from the rich, he stole from the Govt. and gave back to the people what had been taken from them wrongly.

  • Hopefully the homeschool families in Mississippi have been keeping a low profile. Last I checked, homeschoolers in Mississippi or Alabama are required to notify NO ONE that they are homeschooling.

Unreal that someone would defend these tryannical actions. The 6 yr old girl was wearing tights glued to her skin, she could not have concealed a pencil much less a bomb.
The rules against dodge ball and tag are not coming from the people who might be sued, it is coming from govt interference. We played football in the street and when we saw a car coming we got out of the way. I am sure the parents didnt put a basketball pole for their kids to use on a busy street. Level32 you are an idiot. Check some facts before pretending to be a know it all.

America will be better off when perverts and traitors like Acirema get the hell out. This was a country created by white Christians who have shared everything we have with every minority on the planet. What is the thanks we get? Being called racists by ignorant punks who think they are entitled to what others have earned. America LOVE IT OR LEAVE IT!!!

    • This was a country was actually inhabited by NATIVE AMERICANS, who were wiped out, then subjugated to reservations. The only thing the “white Christians” shared was Smallpox, delivered in blankets, and some sort of entitlement to a land that wasn’t theirs.
Your statements look pretty ignorant in comparison to some of the others.

When this age of greed and consumerism comes to a close, maybe this country will come full circle and live in harmony with the land once again.

      Peace and Love.

Sure, because this country will be SO much better when we all think the Same thing.

@acirema…the purpose of taxation is to pay for the constitutional expenses of government. The purpose of government is to protect Rights. Taking property from one to give to another is unconstitutinal. America is not racist, religionist … individuals are. Sounds like you want everyone to think as you do.
You think other countries are better? Seems delusional.
Let’s look at another fair tax…everyone pays an equal share. A family of 10 pays 10 shares.
Class warfare is for fools. If every American paid their fair share of the debt and unfunded liabilities, we each would owe about $500,000. What do you have to show for it?
Do you think the poor would elect big spenders if they knew it would cost them?
One thing the founders knew that many big government types don’t is many state governments will come up with more solutions then one all powerful federal government. Or one world government.

  • All hope is gone at this point in time. As someone once said: We had it all and we let it all go with out a fight. Way too late now to politically change things, so live for self/family and hunker down, enjoying what time is left. Trust not in politicians/gurus as they will fail the American people as always. All patriot activities past and present have been in vain/useless.

Definitely tax the rich who have received bailouts. And why do we need the Bush tax cuts? Corporate America seems more interested in profits overseas than creating jobs in America. Tax cuts should be contingent on benefits to this country! And the tax burden is extremely heavy on those making under $100,000 per year. Social security tax (self-employment tax is 15.3%), federal tax, state tax, local tax, sales tax, excise tax, license fees, and the worse tax of all INFLATION! The idea that a flat tax is a viable alternative is ridiculous. Can anyone you know live on $100 per year, let alone pay the $10 of tax assesed on it? Those who receive the most benefit should pay the most. Many transactions in the business world are taxed at low rates. How about taxing some of the multiple-trade daily stock market manipulating computer buy/sell programs that the “big guys” use? Even a 2% tax on these high volume/high profit trades might generate some good revenue!

    • Eric

I get so sick of this mind numbing tax the rich tax the poor debate.

Raise taxes change tax distribution? Laughable why does no one bring up that the government shouldn’t be allowed to so much as whisper tax increase with their current track record. Do you hand out money to a family member if they get hooked on crack? Well of course fricken not but say for what ever reason you did and big surprise they are worse off than ever. Now they want even more money from you? Dear lord my point is the USA’s government is no better with money than a crack addict and worse than some 5 year olds. There needs to be full, readily available and easy to understand break downs of all government spending and yes there needs to be an ap for that and then there needs to be major house cleaning and budgeting.

obama has gotta go and the government lies to us and tells us what we wanna here

  • the one with the truth

You’re all on the right track when it comes to the diagnosis of the problems in today’s world, but something incredibly important seems too elusive and trivial for all Westerners to comprehend.

And do you know what it is? I’ll tell you.

The enemy is capitalism itself, my dear people.

Creating virtual money and creating the current global economic-financial crisis is the purposeful doing of the rich.

They created this second Depression to make themselves more rich by stealing from the table of the poor and the middle class.

The very capitalist system that the Western ‘democracies’ are based upon and made them so rich and is flawed, it can’t sustain itself without artificially creating wars (for no reason or to steal resources from poor countries by pretending to be ‘saving’ them and imposing ‘democracy’; what sort of democracy and freedom is killing civilians against their wishes???) and creating and supporting the very conditions that create social instability and hyperenormous social inequalities. Endless egotism powered by capitalism is self-destructive.

It’s hypocritical for people to think that the government can save them. No one can save you, but yourself and the very governments serve the interests of the rich (the big business) and thus are no longer relevant. All governmental institutions and the mass media are now exposed for what they really are: tools for mass indoctrination and brainwashing that dumbs people down, makes them brainless hyper consumers of things that really aren’t necessary for basic human survival, while artificially raising the costs of basic human needs, like food.

The enemy isn’t the people, but their current system which no longer serves freedom and equality for all.

Social inequalities are because money exists and those who have it wish to destroy and steal from those who have no money or very few money, just for the fun of creating profits out of killing, exploitation and out of thin air (the last thing is what financial people actually are – vampires).

Who is the Enemy? It’s definitely not the regular folks, it’s the hyperrich and those in power. Oh wait, they are same! All governments of the world = all mafias of the world = all militaries of the world = all politicians of the world = Big Business.

Big Businesses now essentially own all world Governments, all international institutions, all banks, all major means of production and therefore governments can’t and won’t help ‘their citizens’ since governments ALWAYS serve the interest of the rich and those in power, i.e. governments serve themselves, not ‘their people’ (the common folk). Governments and big business (which are the same people actually) need to be thaught a lesson, a lesson that is very simple: Earth belongs to everyone and we all need basic needs covered to survive, but the market doesn’t provide them, it only wishes our money and to kill us, so that only the rich get/own the whole planet for themselves (which is what we have today). However, they CAN be stopped because they can’t survive without the very forces that they exploit: the regular people. Don’t pay taxes and don’t work (for cash or at all) for anyone but for yourself, for your family, friends and your local community – they are your friends, not the central government and not their local servants.

So, there is only one solution: take back what was stolen from you by the rich, even with force if necessary. Laws no longer matter, when your government has become the very low-level instrument for Big Business to control all and make all humans slaves.
How to make sure this shit doesn’t happen again? Destroy the very State (Big Gov’) as a system and institution and destroy the Big Businesses. But you can’t do that by abiding the very laws written by those 2 Bigs because the laws no longer matter, they are written for the rich and those in power to always win.

To kill the 2 Evil Bigs, you need to destroy (neoliberal ‘free market’) capitalism itself as an economic system since it’s unsustainable because it needs to feed more and more profit out of nothing and in the process destroys Earth and depletes its natural resources.

Capitalism has always worked against those it claims to protect and make rich (the regular folks). In reality it can’t do that since it only makes the rich richer and everyone else is left to die out of misery, despair and ever-increasing limitations of basic human and citizen rights and the self-destructive evil hunger for money and power out of thin air and against the lives of the entire human race.

The end of capitalism is inevitable, it’s just a matter of time. The end of humanity will come sooner if capitalism doesn’t get destroyed. Actually, this end of humanity will be CAUSED by capitalism since all social inequality comes from the Big 2 who control everything and wish to enslave of humanity in the fortress of endless corporatism.

We no longer need the state or the businesses since now more than ever it’s obvious to everyone that they are the cause of all wars, sufferings and human deaths and that the state has always been just the front-cover of the business, not something which protects the regular people.

Anarchism will probably come after the death of capitalism, but it won’t be a chaotic system, but one which produces only that which is needed for basic survival and also is powered by the totally free sharing of information, the abolition of copyrights and ‘intellectual properties’ (you can’t own non-physical things, duh!), and the end of the corrupted mess of paid education. Education, healthcare, science, technologies will finally be freed both from money (thus becoming free), and also from the destructiveness of restrictions that are the big 2.

People will either kill capitalism voluntary or capitalism will self-destruct and will destroy all life on Earth, including humans. And the rich can’t win because they can’t live without basic resources and the basic resources are produces by the poor, us, the people of Earth who only wish for freedom via truth and total openness of all human information and knowledge. This new brave world won’t have any classes, since all spheres of power (legislative, judicial and executive) will be in direct e-democratic control of ALL people and consensus on how to survive and thrive will be the solution to fixing and eliminating, or reducing the effects of all major social evils.

The people of Earth now know this. Let’s take our freedom back since it’s ours by virtue of the natural laws of reality itself and no one is more powerful than nature itself (and we are part of nature, a part that is high time to grasp that we can’t live without each other and everything which tries to destroy society’s happiness and life is the enemy; right now government=big businesses are the enemy; the regular people don’t want violence, death or oppression, they just want universal justice via universally self-protected freedom which can’t be achieved unless all information and resources become totally free from the control of private people and inhuman corporations (and all corporations are evil and will always be; only individual humans have morality, compassion and love freedom, legal entities and market players such as big companies and global corporations are inhuman, corrupted and beyond repair, they only wish for more profits, but profiting by killing people and destroying their freedom is immoral, wrong, evil and totalitarian)).

Trust yourself. Help those who help you survive. Destroy the inhuman system. Just make sure not to go from an evil totalitarian democracy (what we have now) to an evil totalitarian [insert type of government here].

We neither need capitalsim (which is now almost the same as stalinist communism), nor stalinist (pseudo)communism. We need a self-governing system that serves all humans on Earth and doesn’t allow for any social inequalities to exist. And an open and free society is the only path for creating such a non-system system. And even then, we won’t hail the new system, since we now know that nothing is perfect (apart from nature itself, perhaps), but preservation of the life of all humans is mandatory for any system that serves the people by not killing them or their environment (we can’t survive without our environment, since we get all our basic resources from it). Over-exploitation of resources is also evil. We should produce only as much as we need, and many (or all) superficial hyperconsumerist media crap aren’t needed. We only need free knowledge. Free media can made freely and for free.

Learn from the mistakes of the past, research the present, build a future where freedom is protected by everyone from everyone via direct e-democracy built on top of free software and having surveillance where the servers are, in case someone tries to destroy the hardware physically. Also, liberate all information. Without total freedom of speech, knowledge and data capitalism will kill us all. And make sure your built security via total openness as opposed to security through obscurity (which makes the rich control us [more easy]).

Freedom or death, to be or not to be, this is the question. Socialization and spontaneous social solidarity, self-help and community-based no-gov-no-big-business help will bring about the end of capitalism and of money. Sharing is caring. Both don’t share what you produce with your own hands and mind powers with the rich that don’t give you anything in return. Share it with the common folk and if they are as good as you (and most people are good if you’re good to them in an altruistic way) they will do the same good to you. Non-violence, mutual help, zero exploitation, no lies, no hatred, all information free as in freedom, socialization against the evil.

This is no utopia, our technologies and our minds already are capable of this. All we need is a little push in the right direction. And ALL of us and our actions is this push.

All those who wish to destroy families and cut age-old social ties because of financial greed are enemies of humanity.

Also, those ties which ensure our survival and well-being are to be kept; those that make humans oppose each other, i.e. like homophobia, xenophobia, discriminations, oppressions, forceful work with no rewards (like food or free returned favors and services), wage slavery, racism, hyperegotism, ethnicism, speciesism, etc. – those things divide us and we don’t need them, they will non-violently die out sooner or later…

We are all humans and 99% of what we wish is for all humans, for all children to be alive, fed, to have clothes, homes, to have access to totally free education and healthcare, and also to be happy and for all of humans to progress freely without sacrificing a single human (i.e. non-violent opposition is the first step), but true happiness can’t be built on top of destroying other people’s happiness and killing them to feed your eternal hunger for power and money…).

Capitalism itself is the problem, since it’s a system that saves and serves the rich and those in power (which are the same people, really) by sacrificing the rest 99.99% humans.

And even a child knows that genocide against the people and the biolife of Earth is a direct crime against humanity.

But neither the UN, IMF, IB or any other institution can provide us with freedom, they all serve the evil rich and are responsible for this mess. WE are all responsible for this epic mess. And only WE can help ourselves and those around us who need help. But first we must seek justice by punishing those that are mainly responsible for supporting the inhuman system of capitalism – the filthy rich (BigBussinesses) and their servants (Governments and mass media).
Truth must prevail by being universally and freely and transparently accessible to each and every one. Take back the Web and put it in everyone’s hands, not the hands of corporations and bigbusinesses.

And capitalism and our greed are to blame. We either confess our flaws, mistakes and crimes, first of all punish the rich (big businesses) and the governments (and effectively abolish them as a form of control, thereby destroying them as institutions), and move on and work together to bring this inhuman system of exploitation down and build a new one that fuses good ideas and gives 100% control, maintenance and self-repair over all aspects of society to ALL people via a direct e-democracy, while also making basic human rights the only kind of law (and the common organisational structure is powered by free open source software and under direct public surveillance), or capitalism will kill us all and deprive us of our life and our future and that of all unborn and born future generations of humans…

That’s just my opinion, of course. It’s neither perfect, nor it claims to be. But all ideas and solutions need to be discussed by everyone (especially the smart people who dislike power structures) for a basic consensus to come to tear down the bloodsucking banks and capitalism.

Tax the rich? Do you really think that would work? So, the rich get high taxes, and to keep their profits up the increase the cost of their goods! Now, just who the heck pays for that high tax that the ‘rich’ are charged?

The only ‘fair’ tax on your wages is NO TAX! Follow the Constitution! It spells out who and what is taxed, and the individuals wages are NOT included!

Strip searching everyone who files? What ever happened to personal ‘responsibility’? What ever happened to Americans defending themselves? Even the bible states that God gave everyone the right to self defense, who the heck do you think you are, God?????/

    Steven said
“If you abide by the law, no worries, they are looking for Osama, not you.”

Just remember first they establish the tools to round people up then they will make the laws that make you a criminal. That is how it always happens on the way to police states.

    Remember Pastor Martin Niemöller
    When he said

First they came for the communists,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
    and I didn’t speak out because I wasn’t a Jew.

    Then they came for me
and there was no one left to speak out for me.

If people keep letting these people take our rights away. Who will be there to speak out when they come for you.

  • Glyttch

The story from Delaware isnt really in infringement on anyone’s rights… nowhere in the Bill of Rights does it say you have the inalienable right to a basketball hoop. Moreover the Delaware Public Works department installed, owned, and maintained those basketball hoops. In truth, all the state did was remove a state owned hoop from a state owned street when a member of the public complained about it’s presence. Nobody’s rights were infringed upon by this action, regardless of the feelings of the homeowners whose homes these hoops were near. Let them buy their own hoops.

i think we still live in a fairly decent country. i am a disabled woman of 54 and i live on 542.00 a month. i would like for some of the fatass beauracrats live on that. if congress and senate and obama tried this for just 1 month they would actually have to use their brain to rob peter to pay paul. i think we should all write letters to congress and senate and challenge them to do this if every citizen in the usa done this they would be overwhelmed at how hqrd it is. medicine or food or roof can’t be done on 542.00 a month

  • Todd

We don’t live in the land of the free and home of the brave cause people are idiots. People sue over everything, and find loop holes to profit themselves. I’m not preaching anything, but just look after yourself and stop whining about every little rule. If you want more airport security, you have to give up privacy. If you want to play dodgeball, expect that you’re going to get hit in the face every once in a while.

  • Bob

The U.S is not the land of the free at all. Yet the propaganda in the movies and tv makes them think they are. These are good examples above. The high crime rates also make it a not so free place. If you have to lock your car doors while driving because you are afraid you might get car-jacked … are you really living free? The fact that americans feel it necessary to carry loaded guns to protect themselves sad and amazing.

  • Correctness

All of these facts are so minor that it doesnt affect anything. there are also answers and reasons for each one. the only one thats actualy a bit messed up is 8. rebuttles:
#1: big deal, let them hack the phones or whatever. if it doesnt screw up the phones then who cares.
#2: so what? sue the state for trying to make things safer for kids. and its only organization banned. if they wanna do it they can go outside by themselves and do it.
#3: they probably have a good reason for it. they are probably low on budget and need to gain money so they can buy things for the school to make it better for the students.
#4: ummmm yea. how is this a bad thing? this is clearly used for security to make things safer and to leave out criminals or such. and also to know everyone who was there incase a crime occured.
#5: who cares, its one family. youre probably not telling us the whole story anyway. theres most likely a better reason than that as to why they removed it.
#6: this doesnt even make sense. here you are definantly not telling us the whole story. there was a reason why the neighbor complained, and not just for the heck of it.
#7: all i can say is i highly doubt this. i just feel like this isnt true, youre lying that its not better for the environment to make your story stronger, or they didnt know its harmful. it most likely saves energy and electricity.
#8: only one that i dont agree with. its messed up, pretty much obvious.
#9: whats wrong with this? its a law that everyone gets educated in school. the judge probably just wants to make sure of that by getting all those who say they are getting homeschooled are actually getting homeschooled.
#10: ummmmm…..OBVIOUSLY!!! do you want another 9/11? i think we all know that the most security in airports needs to be taken now, which it clearly is. and this is a very good thing. terrorists would do anything to get harm on the plane, including putting their weapons with a girl. if the security had reason to believe that the girl was hiding something, of course they are gonna check it out. you cant risk something like that and if thats what they have to do, they gotta do it.

    • Eric

Lol Ok let me get this straight.

1.It’s ok for your personal msgs to be gone thru with out your knowing, does that include pictures of your family girl friend perhaps? Bank statements? Private conversations? It’s all for you own good right. @_@

      2. You seem to have miss understood why lawsuits were brought up. That aside it’s ok for the state to regulate and control an aspect of peoples lives because freeze tag is hazardous?

      3. WFT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!?!! Did you never eat a school lunch? Are you saying it’s alright to legally force children to eat that crap? As a child I would skip school lunches for weeks and replace them with a fruit rollup >.> Not to mention the cost change for low income family’s and how unhealthy school lunches are.

      4. (These are not the droids you are looking for) Cause we don’t all have jedi powers fool <.< it's a restriction on going and doing as you please to have your every move tracked. And quite frankly our government hasn't proved they can be trusted with that kind of power, infact they've proved the exact opposite.

      5. There was a reason the for lodging a complain about the hoop? Well now that would would explain a lot, were there right? So tell me about it since you know. ^_^

      6. OH wow there was a good reason for going after the girl scouts to who would have thunk it, you were around for that one as well I take it?

      7. http://www.renewableenergygeek.ca/energy-efficiency/energy-saving-light-bulbs-dangerous-to-health-and-environment-part-1/ Your feeling v my research ya……

      8. Ok so you feel stealing property with out so much as a how do you do is wrong. That's refreshing, tho it makes me wonder if you have a safe deposit box.

      9. Whats wrong with a public offical using his authority to request an audit on a whim. Nothing, nothing it goes back to that privacy thing you wouldn't understand.

      10. Ok I'm going to say again that I've flown in and out and around the US with a ID so expired it said I was a minor. If the security level doesn't cover that I see no reason it should involve pat down searching 6 year holds in skin tight outfits. Uhm ya the girl was hiding something lets feel her up of course of course …………. I don't even know what to say to that. But I think what you said speaks laud and clear. ^_^

Ok so your a bleeding fool and your looking for a reaction well guess what you got on your stunningly stupid and I'd guess around 8 out of 10 people feel that way gratz you got a reaction.

Firstly, thank you for the insightful articles that you provide on this website.

I read comments from all divergent view points. It’s good to know that Americans are taking the effort to analyse and understand why they are in this mess.

I’m not American, but I understand, empathise and identify with American values since I live in India, a democracy that is still learning how to handle problems and the aspirations of its people. My comments below are reflective of all the articles I have read on this site and include this article as well.

    My two cents –

America has a lot going for it inspite of the uncertainties spoken about. Most of the world still aspires for the American dream or hopes to enjoy the same liberties as they do. Americans can once again learn to dig deep and inspire their country men to look for greatness within (and not just oil)

Just because 1 day at school was bad, you don’t drop out from school. In the long and chequered history of America, the people have overcome tremendous odds in the past. And there’s no reason why it can’t be done again.

A country that is united, stands. Even if you are divided in your approach, try to find commonly acceptable solutions instead of sticking to extremist views on both ends.

Having some policing is better than no policing at all. 9/11 was proof that the intelligence gathering mechanism was not effective to stop threats even when credible information was present as it was not followed up, analysed or enforced. But some of the examples in this article point to law enforcement practices and information gathering that’s not only irrational, but also stifling and unhealthy. A threat in itself does not validate that all information of every nature, of every person doing everything should be monitored and tracked at all times.
Imagine the billions of dollars spent every minute in tracking information of all persons, all the time! Without proper application and analysis, the threats won’t be addressed, not to mention billions of American tax dollars go down the drain. The loopholes in law and order, visa fraud, border security and illegal migration should be plugged instead.

The American lawmakers, the judicial and police system need to be shaken up to understand that laws were made to PROTECT the people from those breaking the laws in the first place and not to HARASS people in the attempt to maintain law and order. It’s up to each local county, sheriff, deputy, mayor, police station to ensure that laws meant to protect are not being used by law enforcement/ state officials as a pretext to harass innocent people and children. The judiciary also needs to uphold laws that prevent the average citizen from being harassed.

Schools have to be safe for students to study. The time to party and dumb down is over. When more students are in schools studying, there are less gangs on the street and less crimes.

Education in America needs overhauling. It has to be a fundamental right, where every American gets free education till he / she completes atleast 12/14 years of formal education. They also need to make the American education system competitive enough to match world standards, yet relevant enough to provide a foundation for vocational jobs, entrepreneurship and strong moral values. If you take prayer and God out of schools, you create a vacuum. Is it any wonder that crime and other vices are taking up space?

The problem that America faces today is as much due to the apathy and ignorance of the majority as much as the greed of a few. Ethics in business has to be inculcated to control profit making at all costs and prevent unrestrained greed along with legal frameworks to not only punish those guilty but to resdistribute their ill gotten wealth. The motto should be – “Get rich by working hard and by creating wealth – not by stealing, lying or cheating employees, consumers and the government”

No Pain, No Gain -Finally, the state and the people have to be ready to swallow some bitter pills. Strict fiscal discipline; cutting down on unnecessary grants and government funding; giving state assistance only to the poorest/ disabled/ which truly deserve it; making social security conditional, time bound and effective; encouraging entrepreneurship and small businesses; reducing taxes; increasing production of American goods; cutting trade and budget deficits by fiscal measures; ensuring that American consumers buy American out of choice and compulsion to help local entreprenuers, services and farmers; reduce dependance on credit cards; learning to live within one’s means;affordable health care with affordable health insurance; reducing government interference and spending in sectors it has no business being in; encouraging innovation and research to help America regain its competitive edge; reduce American military involvement in regions that are not required (trillions are wasted); widen the tax base but reduce the tax percentage; reduce dependance on Gulf Oil by switching to solar power fueled electric vehicles and alternative sources of energy and stimulate local production of oil, coal and nuclear energy with strictest environmental safeguards. Lastly, reduce the number and scope of executive orders the President can pass by enacting amendments / changes in the constitution. If too much power is concentrated in the hands of one person without reasonable checks and balances, you are setting up the country to be lead by a dictator in the garb of democratic rule. Times are changing and with the way the ‘one world government motto’ is being echoed everywhere, it will be just a matter of time before an American President in the future misues his powers beyond repair. Revelation is getting enacted sooner than we think.

I agree about energy but we need more reliable but safer infastructure before we even THINK about alternate energy as it doesn’t come cheap overnight.
In the 1930s Depression I can’t remember which Rosevelt it was but he made sure people who were physically and mentally capable to work had jobs which ACTUALLY DID USEFUL THINGS which is how The West Coast from The Rockies westward got cheap energy from many of the dams or a lot of the highways and byways were paved and bridges being built to last a long time.
Many of the bridges built in the 30s depression actually survived Oregon’s harshest floods while the newer ones from the 1950s all washed out not too long into the storms.

Also most of the roads pre 1930s were dirt like the horse and buggy days where it would take you about a month (give or take a few days) to go from Portland Oregon down to Sacramento California in mud slick roads during the rainy season. In ideal weather a few weeks since most horses on flat ground can do no more then 15-20 miles a day maximum which most towns were built using that standard until the automobile came along.

The Stimulus package did absolutely NOTHING for our roads here in Oregon which have the same potholes from the 90s and the Freeway asphalt is VERY noisy where once you cross into Washington it’s considerably quieter where you can hardly hear it. We always know it when we come back to Oregon after a vacation up to Washington by how noisy our roads are. We actually DON’T NEED a border sign to tell us. A good road test will supplement for a welcome sign. LOL

Oregons state motto: We like you to visit us but we don’t like you to live here unless your a liberal. :p Now GTFO of our state!

    Now about those dams:
They were built by people such as YOU AND ME getting tools and start digging though of course guided by supervisors funded from The Government in order to show us WHAT to do and how to do it properly but the public did most of the work which allowed cheap eleectricity to spread that the new government monarchy hates to see done which is why the Stimulus packaged did not go to any useful things.

The Shasta Dam in California which powers Redding down to Sacramento had electricity for almost free even in the early 1980s and I know because my Dad lived there renting a house and his bill was like 20 dollars for electricity. Not sure if it’s that way now because of the environmental wackos trying to tear down the dams.
In the early 2000s they actually tried to tear down ALL the dams along the West Coast which would have literally put us in the Dark Ages. Yes. pun intended. Bonneville,John Day,Grand Coulee.etc that WE THE PEOPLE built our friggin selves to provide reliable energy from nature herself.

    More but safer power plants!

If we want Americans to drive electric cars the first thing we need to even THINK of is to build more power plants as it’s going to be another decade before cheap energy becomes available to the public and there isn’t enough electricity in the grid to support even HALF of the country driving these Obama Mobiles as we call it.
We need more coal plants but use the safest techniques to produce the power required and have some sort of *share* system when there is excess energy being produced to poor people.

In fact. If we had more power plants the people SHOULD demand some sort of energy sharing or rebate cuts for times when energy exceeds demand and have it go to the people who need it like the elderly and disabled to have free/reduced rates.

  • Kyle

Obama’s stimulus package all went to bailouts to companies that should’ve just died on their own and allowed the laws of free market to take over instead of artificially saving them from responsibility of handling their funds.

It’s NOT about how rich or poor you are but how well you MANAGE your money such as if you are an employer you need to know how to balance your budget to your employees, your bills and then lastly yourself with whatever you have left over after saving a bunch instead of living off of credit high on the hog. Such as if you spend what you don’t have on credit cards buying that expensive TV you don’t really need or that expensive car with money stolen from taxpayers because you cannot afford it nor need it.

It’s good to have an automobile as long as it gets you from point A to point B reliably without all the bells and whistles you cannot afford.

  • Kyle

One thing that sickens me is that armed robbers who do rob banks don’t use the money to better themselves such as to buy that medicine for their sick grandma and INSTEAD spend it all on alcohol or dope frying their brains out which makes them incompetent in their next robbery attempt if they got away the first time which then we learn about those stupid criminals on TV.

Drugs actually have stronger chemicals in them then they equally did in the 1960s which is why it’s so hard these days to break out of the habit which is the same for smoking cigars.

Now I am done with my rant because in case you couldn’t tell I am seriously enraged at the stupidity of facist communism which gives everything to the hands of the government like how most of China was since the 60s which they are now slowly getting out of.

It’s not too long before enough people in China demand their own kind of constitution.

I recently heard that the wealthiest corporation in America had profits last year of $27 billion (Standard Oil). They paid 0 in taxes. One of the first things that should be done is to completely shit can the IRS and ALL of it burdensome rules in favor of a “flat tax”. You make $5.00 you pay 20%. You make $20 billion you pay 20%. It’s fair it’s simple. One giant unnecessary Federal money hole GONE! Now take he next Federal boondoggle and do the same thing and work your way down that list until the Fed Gov. is the small people monitored entity it was intended to be. Any suggestions on the next Fed arm to be amputated?

this has been a fact for many years, every day I wake up to more and more hatred for this corrupt government.

They should fear the people, but instead more and more everyday the people fear the government.

Fear is a Tool of the Enemy.

  • It isn’t as if any rational person still believes the USA is a free country. Think about it. No-warrant wire taps, indefinite detention of citizens without charges, approval of rendition of prisoners and torture, stop and frisk without probable cause, search and seizure without a warrant, no-knock entry, confiscation and destruction of cameras that might have been used to film police acting illegally, police brutality, police shootings that go without investigation, managed news, and the civil-rights destroying “Patriot” Act.

Acts of police behaving illegally, with shootings, Tasers, and unwarranted violence now appear almost daily. Rarely are these offenses punished. Most often “an investigation” is claimed, but soon forgotten.

In addition, the USA, with 5% of the world population, has 25% of all of the prisoners in the world. That means the USA has the most people in prison of any nation in history. Even by percentage of residents incarcerated, not just sheer numbers. USA is # 1!

Does any of that sound like a free country?

As Dwight D. Eisenhower said about communism, “It’s like slicing sausage. First they out off a small slice. That isn’t worth fighting over. Then they take another small slice that isn’t worth fighting over. Then another and another. Finally, all you have left is the string and that isn’t worth fighting over, either.

They do fear us that’s why they work so hard to keep us in the dark. They want you to depend on them and dumb you down, this is how they gain control, the sad thing is that people actually believe that they are helping us out for our benefit, they don’t really care they just want you to need them. They gave women rights to break families and their influence so they can control your child’s up bringing, not saying they shouldn’t have rights, just their intention wasn’t out of care, they freed slaves because if the cattle feels free they produce better milk…get it? Again, not they shouldn’t be free, just their intention is souly for their gain and control, not your freedom, otherwise those problems wouldn’t be, or at the very least lasted so long and would have been short lived. It is only when we are outraged that they bend. Or fear the loss of their control.

Considering this article was written back in 2011, it seems like the “good old days” were over years ago.
